   Beef stew portion looked small but was quite rich so maybe an idea to share this with a side dish! Steak could have been seasoned more. Belly pork bites overpriced at £10 for 4. Desserts lovely. Mocha good. Best thing was the bread basket, lovely choice of bread, butter was sooo nice!!

   We took our seriously foodie son and family to the Griddle Bar and had a fantastic experience. All generations were warmly welcomed by the Manager and waiting staff. Our starters of Chicken Liver Pate, Grilled Eel and Pork Belly Bites were incredible and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the main courses of Ribeye Steak, Beef and Marrow Bone Pie and Beef Stew and Dumplings arrived - and were rich and delicious. We are looking forward to returning to enjoy your outside seating next!

   First time eating at this restaurant. We sat upstairs and the ambiance was very pleasant. Both ordered steaks which were cooked as requested. I felt that mine had a bit too much pepper on. It did not bother me but I would rather have had the option of putting it on myself. However, both steaks were delicious and so were the chips. Dessert was just as good. We both enjoyed our meals and will be back.

   Had a fantastic dinner at Griddle Bar. The eel starter, recommended by the manager, was a standout—delicate, flavorful, and beautifully done. The bavette steak was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Big shoutout to the manager for his impressive knowledge and spot-on suggestions. Can’t wait to come back!

   Food and portion size was fantastic. We went on Sunday and had their specials board for roast beef and roast chicken. Service was poor. Server didn’t seem to know the menu and what was and wasn’t available. Also menu had changed but didn’t have the new menus. Specials board was only available downstairs and we were sat upstairs. Glassware on the table (we weren’t using them) were dirty and when pointed out they took a lot of the glasses away to be washed.

   Lovely place, was served by Gabby who was very friendly, patient and polite. Food was beautiful, atmosphere was lovely and enjoyable.

   Absolute shocking experience and highly disappointed, especially when this booking was for a special occasion and felt it totally ruined the day. Food took over an hour to come which was firstly off to a bad start. When it finally did arrive two meals were forgotten, two meals were incorrect and had the wrong egg type and mushrooms when it was noted no mushrooms. Food was barely warm and the supposed toast was bread, not to mention they had no sourdough as advertised and it was normal white bread. The portion sizes for the prices were disappointing and nowhere near worth the price, I’ve had more satisfying breakfasts in Sainsbury cafe. All in all I would never visit this restaurant again. I have never felt so strongly after visiting a restaurant to feel the need to leave a review but this was horrendous.
