It was a lovely evening to dine alfresco… our waiter was very attentive and super kind. Didn’t feel rushed. Great night
Bill our server was awesome! Great experience
We had the most adorable server Lauren! Not only did she greet us when she saw us waiting for the hostess to come over to seat us, she made sure we got seated quickly. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and she was very prompt with service. I would rate her10 stars!
This was our first time there and we absolutly love the vibe in the restaurant, our server (Shawn) was extremely friendly and did a great job explaining the menus and everything else. Definitly going there again.
One of the best bone-in ribeyes I have ever eaten. Great service from a friendly staff.
Belated Mothers Day luncheon
Great food , service and atmosphere .
Looking forward to next visit !
Fantastic outside patio. Server was great amd when we asked if they could turn down the volume on their music they did so right away. Also their new summer menu is great with even more food options. Very pricey but excellant food!
Everything was fabulous! The seafood was fresh and ice cold with amazing dipping sauces. The cocktails were so yummy and we cleaned our plates of all the food!!!
Food was amazing! Waiter was Great and very helpful. He was complimentary to our dinner choices and very knowledgeable of the menu. All around atmosphere was enjoyable. We would definitely come back again.
It was our first time at this restaurant. The menu was diverse and inventive preparations. Swordfish with mango sauce was very good and my wife had the braised short ribs, which she enjoyed. Most people were sitting outside, but we opted for inside and were seated in a lower level room near the bathrooms and the door to the outside patio. Looked like a makeshift room with a few tables to make it easier for the staff. No-one was being seated in any of the nicer dining rooms. I'm guessing they have staffing issues. Atmosphere wasn't great being stuck between the kitchen, bathrooms & outside patio entrance. Our server did a good job and food arrived in a timely manner. Our one main complaint was that the fact that it is Valet parking only. That wasn't prominently listed in either the open table website or the restaurant website. Found that out when we got there. Not the best set up as the key board was on the left side of the main door as people walk in and out. Not secure.
The outside seating was awesome, it felt good to get out and enjoy a good meal in a pleasant environment. The staff seemed safety conscious which made me feel more comfortable about eating out. Very nice place!
Very attentive staff. Lots of servers making the rounds whisking away empty plates, refilling water glasses, checking that everything was ok. When making the reservation, I’d used one of the boxed choices regarding the occasion (our anniversary), and our server and the manager commented upon it. The manager even offered to comp a dessert ( or a gift card in lieu of dessert). Very warm and friendly atmosphere.
Food was delicious- we ordered white sangria, the enhanced Aperol Spritz, the grilled octopus app, swordfish w/ tropical fruit salsa, beef short ribs. Most of the desserts were chocolate based and we wanted something lighter, so chose the lemon tart. It was a little underwhelming- all crust and whipped Chantilly cream, hardly any lemon custard.
We requested and sat outdoors on the expansive patio. The tables were nicely spaced for privacy, there are two covered bars that can be used for private group dinners, lots of nice landscaping, and heat lamps scattered around (not needed, as it was warm and beautiful out.
All around lovely night out. This restaurant does not disappoint- we’ve been here for dinner w/ friends, a late lunch, and now our anniversary. Each time was terrific. Oh, and if you live in the area, sign up at the hostel desk for loyalty dining points!
Lovely outside patio setting. Always enjoy this restaurant.
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Our party of 4 really enjoyed their braised ribs and salmon entrees. Dan,our server was attentive to all our needs. he was friendly, courteous and explained the menu in detail. Mary one of the hostesses was so cordial while checking on our drinks, food and dessert. The outside dining area was huge and provided an great environment for dinner. We will definitely return soon. I highly recommend Gray Stone Restaurant in Newtown, PA.
As usual Dinner at the Grey Stone was a very pleasant experience. The weather was perfect and the outdoor ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. The food as usual was very good but the menu while good is limited. Limitations aside I will definitely be back.
Greystone has great food, great service and great ambiance. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful but the outside dining can’t be beat. I personally can’t wait to go back.
Dining on the patio is a pleasant experience. We ordered the delicious calamari, and followed with the seared tuna, swordfish and crispy tofu with added shrimp. All three entrees were thoroughly enjoyed. Servers were helpful and efficient without being intrusive.
Wonderful service, wait staff, and food! The outdoor area is huge and beautifully landscaped and lighted.
Always an enjoyable time. Beautiful outside and lovely indoor. Varied menu with eclectic flair. Our go to place
I am a frequent diner at Grey Stone ( often enough to be recognized) for the food and the ambience of the outdoor patio. On a Saturday night, valet parking was complimentary, efficient and friendly. Our dinners, as usual, were beautifully plated, generous portions and excellent quality. Service is usually also excellent. However, I did not rate our experience a 5 star because of our server, Rick. His service was perfunctory, at times dismissive, and we did not feel valued as diners. I will be back, but will decline to be served again by Rick.
Lovely place but our entrees weren't very good. Two of us ordered short rib which was bland and dry. The tofu dish was marred by overcooked tofu. A burger and cheesesteak was apparently fine. In terms of service, we just barely finished our appetizers when the main course was brought out making us feel rushed. Not our first time there but they're inconsistent
We enjoyed our outdoor dining experience at GreyStone.
Nice place, good food but noisy so you really can't talk to your dining companions.
3 days prior called and requested inside dining. The day of our reservation we were called and asked if we could eat outside. Group average ago 83 plus. We were place inside upstairs VERY hard to walk for seniors. Never informed of the HUGE amount people AND the upstairs we could not hear each other have not seen one another in one year plus!!! We could have reschld. IF someone would have let us know of the crowded situation. At least the food was hot and good.
The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the Lamb Burger and the Shrimp Tacos. Everything lacked flavor. We waited over an hour for food. Probably the biggest let down was the fries, which clearly sat in a window then instead of cooking a fresh batch they dropped them back in the fryer so while they were warm they were awful. The server was very kind but also he had way too many tables. We dined inside in the bar area where they decided it was a great time to deep clean the bar so we got to enjoy clanking and employees shouting at one another. All really enjoyable we finished eating kind of as most of the food just wasn't good and proceeded to wait at this moment 11 minutes and counting to even ask for the check. I have watched six different people walk by and none of them cleared our plates or asked us if we were finished. Overpriced and underwhelming I will not be back.
Great outside setting
Loved the mushroom burger and tofu!
A friend and I ate outside on a beautiful day yesterday. Love the patios and although it was quite full the service was great. I know all restaurants are short handed but there was no delay in ordering or getting the food.
This was our second time and again we had terrific food. We ate outside in the beautiful setting. What is nice about the outdoor dining is the area was set up for this well before Covid hit so it has a garden atmosphere. This place is great.
Great service and delicious food
Will definitely come back
Great food, great service- enjoyed our evening very much!
It was our anniversary so we wanted a nice dinner out for the first time in a year. Grey Stone didn’t disappoint, however, we were sat in the bar area, and it was very uncomfortable seating and lots of crashing of bottles from the bar. Food and service were great - HIGHLY recommend but be sure to ask NOT to be seated in the bar area unless you’re just out for some drinks and a nosh with friends.
Awesome place. Good food. Definitely one of my favorite.
Awsome dinner. Wonderful service, beautiful place
Our server, Rich, was excellent!
The country setting and the outside dining venue are both inviting and pleasant.
The welcome is friendly and the staff attentive. The food was delicious.
I look forward to returning.
The food was excellent. Husband got a burger with the truffle fries and I got the Greystone salad with crispy tofu. So good. We love eating outside there. Their patios are so nice.
Great night on the patio. Excellent Greystone salad, short rib sandwich and vodka drinks.
