The service was outstanding and the food exquisitely prepared, however patrons should know going in they have zero input into the food selections or preparations. Someone else made the reservation for me as a surprise so I was not aware going in. I am absolutely certain the meal was prepared expertly, but many of the dishes were not to my individual preferences. Thus, it was a lovely dining experience, for which I paid a very dear price, that I did not enjoy. If you have an open and adventurous palate and enjoy surprises, this would be a wonderful place for a special occasion.

Fantastic food and ambiance. Great place for a special dinner. It's pricey for what it is. Nonesuch in OKC offers a comparable experience but at a lower cost. That said, definitely still worth a try at least once as the food was fantastic.

I was very worried that my husband would not like this experience. His attitude about food is “hot, brown, and plenty of it”. 💀 We we’re both blown away. We did a 10 course, each had 2 cocktails, and 2 bottles of sparkling water. Everything was so delicious. The staff are amazing. I thought this experience would be “one and done” but we will definitely be back!!! We were pleasantly full but not too much so and the bill was around $350. It’s food, entertainment, and art all rolled into one. A bargain in my opinion!

My fiancé and I enjoyed the menu and experience from start to finish. We did the ten course and middle tier wine pairing. The sommelier was fantastic and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was a bit quiet to start the evening… felt a bit like eating in a library. It did liven up a bit as the evening progressed though. We have been to other higher end restaurants in the area and we both felt the menu was superior. The ambiance was chic and intimate which was great for our mood that evening. The chef was also kind enough to visit our table as the meal was concluding. For our next visit we will probably try sitting at the counter. The price point was high. After gratuity we left spending just under 1k.

Overall the food was fantastic! The service was so s l o w! 3 hours for a 7 course and the restaurant was less than 50% full. I can not imagine if it were fuller how long it would have taken. Not a huge fan of eating dessert at 10:45pm. 5 of the 6 in our party did silver wine pairings and enjoyed the wines selected but the pours were a very very small we would guess less than 3 tablespoons of wine each so for 100$ each I would not recommend the wine parings. Get a bottle and share. I’m not sure I would recommend or go back but did enjoy the company of my table and the food was tasty.

We had an outstanding time at our first experience at Grey Sweater. Our only disappointment was the bar tender. It’s possible he was over extended…wasn’t very attentive to our needs. Aside from that, we had a thoroughly delightful evening. We will be back!

It was good but nothing blew me away…the alcohol service was terrible. Stuffy. Not a fun creative environment one would expect from a chefs table. Same menu for a year? No chef control? After this much time and for these prices, everything should be top notch. I’d rather have gone back to NoneSuch.

First, four out of seven dishes were sweet cream based: cauliflower ice cream, mushroom bisque with kale, mushroom bisque (AGAIN) with prawn, then of course ice cream as dessert. Between, a bit of variety: a scallop in vanilla cream sauce, quail breast, and venison tenderloin. Taste-wise, everything was fine, but nothing excellent, nothing memorable. Portions were ridiculously small, and I'm a light eater. Tiny tiny little nibbles is not a course! We left $600 dollars poorer (2 persons plus wine) but still hungry. I regret going and don't plan to return.

My wife and I ordered a 7 course meal. After 2 1/2 hours we only had 5 courses. At 10:30 p.m. we were starving and had to get back to the babysitter. The manager made it seem like he was doing us a favor only charging for 5 courses. $300 later we were still starving. We will go to Nonesuch next time.

If you are deciding between Nonesuch and Grey Sweater, I recommend Nonesuch. I will explain why. Having eaten at Black Walnut several times, and visited the Gilded Acron, I am a Chef Andrew Black fan and was looking forward to this with high expectations! First off, let me start by saying that the food without question at Grey Sweater is stellar, a 5/5. However, agreeing with over reviewers - the portions are SMALL. The first dish was a small but tasty cone, and the second AND third dishes were two small soups. There was 1 scallop (literally one), followed by 1 quail meat and 1 red meat course, ending with ice cream. There were no courses that had multiple parts. I’m sorry, but as a small Asian woman and still hungry after, if we are paying nearly $500 for a 2 person meal, I hope to be rolled out of the restaurant! The wine pairings (silver level) were also great- though it took a little prompting before we were told what was being poured. They are also very small pours - several mL. (Compared to Nonesuch- our shared wine pairing was constantly and generous refilled!) The service was extremely slow, though pleasant and definitely buoyed by great company. Still, our 7 course meal took over 3 hours- I don’t know if it was because they were unstaffed that day? We sat at the Chef’s table- which I recommend, and there was only 1 waitress serving the 6+ couples. Overall, is Grey Sweater still worth a try? Yes- if you are into fine dining and want all that OKC can offer! I am glad we tried it. Will I be back? No, you’ll find me at Nonesuch.

Fantastic service both food and wine host, both our host were gracious and knowledgeable in our food and wine selection. We tried the tasting menu, the portions were the right size for a tasting session and exudes creativity in the chef’s style with unique ingredients from around the world. Our Grey Sweater ambassador checked in multiple times before our dining reservation to cover any allergies, much appreciated! It’s a rare culinary gem for OKC with nothing like it!

We used to really love GS. The food was flavorful and exciting. Our last experience was a bit underwhelming. We had the 10 course meal and several of the dishes were repeats from the prior times we had been there. It was well over a year ago. I considered GS the best restaurant in OKC for a while. When going to restaurants of this level, my expectation is to experience new food and almost every dish should be something to write home about. The grilled cheese opener was excellent and new. Then the next several dishes were just not that good and were repeats. The meat dishes were enjoyable and then the desserts were just not that impressive. The first dessert felt like it was trying to be edgy but the flavors were not impressive. The second dessert was basically ice cream with berry compote. I know how talented the team and head chef is there, so I hope they update their menu and create new experiences for the city.

This “experience” was far from an “experience”. We went into it expecting a lot and were let down. We selected the 5 course option, which is the smallest. Overall, the portions were like rabbit food and honestly we left hungry. We were served lots of seafood, which I don’t love. We ended up paying almost $700 for 4 people, which is ridiculous. My water glass was empty half the night, which is unacceptable for me at this price. We had expected 5 star service and did not get it. It is not worth it for the price at all. I wouldn’t recommend.
