Greenstreet Cafe Ratings and Reviews
This place has been a favorite for a couple of years now. The atmosphere is great and love the outside sitting. The service always has been great however the portions have suffer a major hit and perhaps the quality too in some of the dishes. The fried calamaris are not even close to what the used to be two years ago. The portion I got yesterday July 2, 2016 was 60 to 70 percent less than what I used to get 2 years ago. The portion has been reduced over the months but yesterday it was ridiculous. Also they were overcooked and mostly legs.
We go there early each year. It slipped since last year. Smaller portions and cheaper ingredients. We had blackened fish, chevice, pasta and steaks. While it's really hard to go wrong on blackened fish (open premade spices, pour over fish, bake for a few minutes), they did. Tiny fish portions, likely smothered in butter so they fill you up.
Good flat bread.
Server had trouble remembering the many types of drinks we ordered - 2 types of draft beer! Quite amateurish service.
Decent outdoors setting on a street in much need for updating (several restaurants with fake facades - some thankfully out of business).
I hear it's great for breakfast, but dinner was underwhelming. Ordered a beer - was tempted to go to the bar as it took forever. Two servers came within five minutes, then disappeared for fifteen. Appetizers came out in stages, not all at once. Salads were severely overdressed, with lettuce clumped together in a quasi gelatinous dressing. Seemed like a lively place at lunch, but I'd stick with drinks at the bar on any return visit. Hummus was passable, forget the bolognese
This restaurant was recommended to me by friends who live in Miami and we were very pleased. This is not a place to go for a nice entree, though they have a few, but more for flat breads, pizzas, ceviche and a raw bar, which was perfect for what we were looking for. Everything was delicious. Outdoor dining is more popular, but they do provide indoor dining for those who prefer to eat indoors. This was perfect for what we were looking for.
Came here on a Friday night with my daughter (a student at the University of Miami) and three of her friends. We had a terrific time. We sat outside and enjoyed the hustle and bustle in The Grove. There was a nice energy to the place. The service was very good and everybody really enjoyed their meals. The curry chicken ravioli is to die for!
Our party of eight was seated immediately and our sevice was very fast.
Our drink orders were taken and served quickly.
All of our food came out together and they all were very good.
The shared dinner we ordered was plated and served correctly.
This is a classic grove fixture with good food and service.
I took my sister and her husband there on a Sunday- we got there early so we couldn't sit outside, which I really wanted to do. Inside was cold and quiet, while outside was warm and exciting. The service was slow- I think because our waiter was also going outside and the kitchen was very slow. It took about 1 1/2 hours to get our dinner. Once we got it the food was good, but not great. Probably will go back to that area, but there are other restaurants to choose from.
I found this online while looking for a spot to eat after the Coconut Grove Art Festival. You definitely want to have a reservation. Food was excellent, and we were seated before our reservation time. Hostess/Manager? was very helpful and accommodating. Server was average. I definitely would go back here again. Wide variety on the menu and reasonably priced.
They had no record of our reservation when we arrived. The hostess was surly and claimed to not know what Open Table was. She then did us the "great favor" of seating us. The food was mediocre. Two of our party ordered the same entree and they came out with different presentations. We had to flag the server for anything as he never checked us on his own. Definitely won't be going back.
Greenstreet cafe has the best breakfast in the Miami area. We were 5 people and 4 of us ordered the amazing pancakes. Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, blueberry granola pancakes, banana pancakes and protein whole wheat pancakes they were all amazing. The portions are big and the pancakes are light and fluffy.
My son ordered Nutella French toast and it was one of the best things he ever tasted.
We can't wait to come back to the area to have breakfast at Greenstreet Cafe.
