Atmosphere was nice and quite. Staffs were welcoming and prompt. The problem was food. The ham on the egg benedict was way too salty for my liking. I had to remove the ham and only eat muffin and egg. Asparagus was cooked well. Pork sausage that we ordered on the side was cold....I had one bite of it and didn't bother to finish it. I would go back to try other dishes but this time was a fail for me.
The service & food was excellent.
We were so glad to be back to the Greenhouse after being away during the Pandemic. Luckily it continued to have the same quality, service and ambiance.
My first indoor dining experience in DC since February 2020! Perfect. Ambience, service, food. Thank you, Jefferson!
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. The serving staff was friendly, attentive and made great menu recommendations. Would definitely come here again!
Great food and service. Glad they are finally open.
This is a great place for quiet, elegant, romantic ambience and 5-star service. We were glad that it was finally opened back up (after a far-too-long shutdown).
So lovely and elegant -- including a velvet footstool for ladies' bags. The food was delicious, the room is beautiful and the service is warm and attentive. They seemed happy to be reopen after the pandemic. The Jefferson is such a gem. Thank you!
The Greenhouse is such a beautiful space and the warm and gracious service matches. We enjoyed delicious salad and quiche for lunch with wine and the dessert offerings were so tempting we did split one and were not disappointed. The prices are on the high side, but the value is excellent to enjoy the entire experience such a perfect combination of ambience, food and welcoming, attentive service.
We had a wonderful Sunday Brunch on the first day The Jefferson reopened. So glad The Greenhouse is back!
Amazing! So good to be back! Delicious food, excellent service! Can’t wait to be back!
This place is fantastic! From the food to the ambiance and let’s not forget the impeccable service. A+++
Everything about our experience at The Jefferson Hotel was superb!
Great place for a mature crowd. Food and ambiance was top notch.
Best omelette I’ve ever had. Fantastic service.
Made reservation but still had to wait at least 15 mins and had to ask the staffs 3 times to be seated. Food was expensive, but not as good as expected.
We loved the kindness and attention to detail of the staff. Lovely environment. Great to have natural light.
This place is beautiful! The food was amazing and the prices were reasonable! The service was impeccable!
Fabulous place for a quiet and elegant brunch in an intimate atmosphere. Service was very attentive and food was delicious.
Loved the venue. Loved the service. Am so grateful, thank you very much.
Perfect, very beautiful and classy !! Not expensive at all!! Service is perfect!!!
Simply delightful! Exceptional service, delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. What else can you ask for.
prompt attentive service, great food and THE quiet corner away from all the noise.
Was greeted personally upon arrival
And really inexpensive for all it was
Outstanding place for brunch. Try the lemon ricotta pancakes, the bagels and lox, the Belgian waffles, the pork sausage - we had a large party and must have covered almost everything on the menu. Next time we will try the lobster Benedict and the chicken and waffles. And yes, there will absolutely be a next time. Beautiful setting, wonderful staff. We were surprised that the bill was so long; expected it to be twice as much. We'll definitely be back. Ranks up there with the really high class Four Seasons restaurants, IMHO, for less money.
Great for calming, quiet business lunch. A new go to place for me.
Lunch at the Greenhouse is the best part of any workday.
Amazing breakfast every time we are here. The caviar parfait is a delicious and unique dish. The restaurant is very elegant and the staff is superb.
The avocado toast with egg and radish was divine. Belgian waffle is very good. The coffee is high quality. Delicious sorbet. As always, the atmosphere is lovely. Love this place for breakfast. One of my favorite DC destinations.
Every visit to the Greenhouse is exceptional and it never disappoints - from the service to the food to the beautiful surroundings. Truly my favorite brunch location in DC!
Everything - from the professional friendly hostess to food and tranquility of the place - was excellent.
I have had breakfast there several times. The food is outstanding service impeccable the greenhouse room lovely
The food not as it was from last time we went.
As my lunch guest put it - "this is civilized dining" ! :)
From ambiance, to professional level of service, to culinary expertise, everything was extraordinary.
Nice but overpriced, service good but hard to know who to ask for refills or the check, I notice they don't have nametags or awards from Relaix and Chateaux they used to have. On the other hand, get a reservation, they will seat you. Decor unmatched in town.
Very disappointed with my brunch experience here! Overpriced and bland food! Can’t believe I paid $12 for a small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice that tasted like cough syrup! Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were horrible...dry and overly sweet. Potatoes were greasy and bland. Unfortunately, the bacon was the best part of the brunch. Service was average, but a little rough around the edges. Ambiance was lovely. However, you can’t eat ambiance. Expected more from this upscale restaurant. Won’t be returning.
Overpriced. Food was very standard, nothing special in the eggs Benedict dish (my date had crab Benedict’s and those were a bit better). Espressos were sub-standard. It’s a nice, quiet place, but not worth $150 for two for breakfast.
Great place for an intimate breakfast. Excellent service and food.
We had a private room which we didn’t ask for. Our party was 8 plus an infant. We had several attentive waiters. Two diners had special dietary requests to which they were aware of when we arrived. Holiday decor was beautiful; we took several photos. Murals and carved woodwork abound. It had been our favorite bar and hotel for special occasions in Washington, and will now be our favorite restaurant for private dining!
