Our name? Green Zebra is a variety of heirloom tomato. Simple as that! Quirky, fun and vibrant; a name people will affiliate with food, and not forget in a hurry.

Our philosophy is uncomplicated, fresh, healthy, moreish food that we love to eat. Our food is prepared in house daily, with passion and precision by our amazing team of chefs.

We arrived at 7pm and when we attempted to order, were told firstly that one of the specials was no longer available. Ok, that’s understandable, but things went from bad to worse when we picked the oysters for a shared entree to be told, no sorry they were out. Ok so we picked Kingfish ceviche and my husband wanted the duck for main. Sadly the poor server came out to tell us, firstly that there was no kingfish but they did have tuna. Ok, so it was tuna, fine, but then she made another appearance to tell us that they were also now out of the duck. We should have taken this as a sign to cut our losses and go elsewhere but we persevered. What came out for the tuna ceviche was a weird conglomeration and not at all tasty. The head server realised we did not like it and took it off our bill, which was appreciated but not our goal. Sadly not a great experience. Not sure what is happening there. Service was okay but the food severely lacking in amounts and flavour.

Duck was good 4/5 Snapper was poor 2/5 Nice ambience but felt sick after eating snapper. Notified staff when paying that fish was unsatisfactory but was still charged full price.

Enjoyed a group booking overlooking the canal and sand area, very enjoyable for all even when tables in close proximity were used we did not really notice. Great atmosphere and service was excellent.

My friends and I have been coming for lunch for years, we were very disappointed in the increase in the prices for the lunch special and no dessert option given - and on top of that we were slugged a Sunday surcharge. We are not unrealistic and realise everything has increased but there are ways to give good cheaper options - maybe look around at what other cafe/ restaurants are offering and compare. Unfortunately as a group we decided that will be our last Green Zebra lunch

Lovely restaurant with good outlook and lovely atmosphere. Staff excellent. Friendly, helpful and efficient. Second time there and highly recommend.

We both had the pork belly and it was absolutely amazing, so pleased it is back on the menu. Great service by the staff
