Green Pig Bistro
Green Pig Bistro features a communal chef's table and an open kitchen where guests can converse while watching their meals being prepared. It has a casual setting with walls covered in cookbook pages. This restaurant serves brunch with cocktails on the weekend, lunch Monday - Friday, and encourages reservations. At this time, we don't take any reservations for Lunch. Just stop in!
Really surprising good bistro. We had four dishes and each was very, very good.
Delicious food. Decently priced. Good drinks.
We were looking for a place to have a team dinner and this fit the bill nicely. The food was excellent as was the service.
If only the server had brought our dessert to us in a timely fashion, this dining experience would have been great. Timing is everything, people.
I was really disappointed in the brunch here. I have been to GPB in awhile and this time (the food) just wasn't great. I had gotten the fried fish sandwich and to be blunt it was slimy and greasy. My friend got the BLT which was served on the same bun as what I had. Odd--usually it is on bread. I will probably not return or recommend.
Outstanding Sunday Brunch! Had bloody Mary’s, banana bread, BLT on brioche bun, salmon eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles and huevos ranchero. All was tasty delicious! We will be going back!
Love the atmosphere and the neighborhood location is fun! Food was a bit of a disappointment though, I asked for the dish without the pork belly and yet it came with it, server took it off quickly though so all was okay.
Food and service great as always but too noisy.....so I can only go with certain friends...
Great food. Great beer.
A bit noisy
The food and service was great. Overall the meal was very good. I hope to be back again!
We had a wonderful time and the food was outstanding. Service was well timed and our server was very friendly. We will be going back and trying other dishes.
Really tasty brunch. My companion had a BLT that she really liked (excellent bacon and very light on the mayo). I had a terriffic salmon eggs benedict.
Service was not on par with the food. We sat for a long time before the waiter took our order. Our coffee mugs went empty a couple of times and we had to flag down our waiter to get refills.
This was our first time at Green Pig. l don't want to condemn it from one experience.
We will go back again.
We arrived early on a Friday evening. Our server was attentive and helpful. We decided to try several small plates and appetizers in lieu of the main entrees. The bone marrow toast and chicken and biscuits (albeit the biscuits weren’t as fresh as they could be) stood out. The portions were plentiful.
It would have been a lovely evening but ended badly when my dining companion was gender policed when they tried to use the restroom. Based on the discrimination, we won’t be returning nor can we recommend Green Pig to friends.
My recommendation to management would be to invest in diversity training for their employees.
Food wasn’t great....
Service took forever but waitress was nice
Not worth the drive
Came for a birthday dinner with my family, everything was great!
The food was brought out quickly but cooked perfectly! We got the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits, with a side of biscuits. The jelly that came with the biscuits was interesting and had a little spice to it.
The appetizers came out cold - soup and cheese balls
The fried pimento cheese bites were cold in the center and didn't have any pimentos in them. Every dish we had were underwhelming.
I would prefer that the bartender not also be our waiter. It’s easy for them to get distracted
Good food that is reasonably priced - and a good selection of dishes on the menu. Daily specials are good/interesting. Wine is a bit pricey.
The food is delicious and consistent. Love the cozy neighborhood food. The staff is professional and friendly and the service is great!!
Green Pig is very consistent. The food and service is always solid.
Good but not great for vegetarian. Salmon was a bit dry.
Amazing food! The flavors literally Exploded in my mouth
My husband and I have enjoyed the two times we have been here. The cocktails are fantastic, same with the food, service, and atmosphere. One of our favorite places in Clarendon for a night out.
We always reserve special occasions (Anniversary, Valentines Day, Celebrations) for Green Pig because we love the food, drinks, and especially the service, so much! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The chef does a great job of keeping some favorites and classics while mixing in some of the local and seasonal dishes that are great to try!
Well prepared flavorful. Says french american but if you are filipino you know there are some filipino influenced dishes.
Nice chef came out to say hi. Good food and very reasonable price for the quality
Noise was only adverse issue. Staff and food were great.
Went on an uncrowded Monday evening with friends. Caught the tail end of happy hour for a well priced glass of wine. The table ordered a variety of dishes including the steak tartare, Mac and cheese, fried chicken, beet salad, and meatballs. All the staff were friendly and prompt. Food was all so tasty, pretty, and served more quickly than expected. We never had to wait for refills. Great experience. Beet salad was especially delish!
Really cute restaurant with quick service and well priced food. We both had the shrimp and grits and agreed they were unique and really delicious
Very nice ambiance. Not very noisy. My smoked salmon Benedict was tasteless and almost cold.
This was our 3rd time at GPB but it ended up being the last. We asked for a quiet table for 4 and they placed us right next to the bar, the noisiest place in this already noisy restaurant. We ordered 4 entrees and only 3 came. Took us 10 min to grab the attention of our waiter who was busy making cocktails. Finally we were told that the kitchen was cooking the 4th entree now. So one of us was forced to wait 30 min for his food, while the others ate. We paid full price and full tip for regular, slightly greasy not at all outstanding food and terrible service, so we plan not to come back.
Really great food and incredible service. I tried the Saturday special - Kare Kare, which was so delicious. The pork crackling was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend trying this out!
Good but not great food - definitely one of the better places in Clarendon. Friendly service.
Great place for a date or getting together with friends. I would highly recommend!
Virtually cant go wrong ordering anything on the menu, but should you need help the servers are incredibly well versed on the selection and happy to make a suggestion. Great time and great food, never disappoints!
Went Friday, then brought a different friend on Monday! Fabulous food!
Great service. We had the Sunday brunch. Food was good with a wide variety to choose from. Fairly close to Metro and free on-street parking on the weekend. Easy walking.
My 10 year old son and I love to explore new restaurants with unique twists on American fare. After reading over previous reviews, we decided to try out Green Pig Bistro. I’m so glad we did! The food was outstanding and the setting allowed us to catch up. We will definitely be back my husband and daughter!
No joke, my man says “this fills a hole in my soul that’s existed since childhood” about the chicken and waffles. I had a bite and he’s not wrong. Alexandra was such a great server. Second time back and dreaming about our next visit!
