Our new favorite spot! The food is delicious. The fried chicken and donuts is my go to meal! Staff is warm and gracious. We’ve dived there with parties of 3 and parties of 8 and they’re always wonderful.

We ate here a few nights ago and were very pleased with the service. Constance was our server and she was terrific. I recommend the cauliflower hummus...simply delicious. The fried chicken with doughnuts was over the top delicious...not for the calorie conscious. Maple salmon also excellent. I enjoyed the happy hour old fashion with maple bacon. I thought it was excellent.

You'll find the stuff of burger-lore and more at Great Maple.

Ten-or-so draft choices kick things off nicely, and you can't go wrong with truffled deviled eggs or artisan toast duo.

I was tempted by all those beautiful salads. They look so healthy and friendly! Should I? Just kidding folks! Passing by Ancient Grains to the chagrin of my wife (not that they don't look wonderful) but today will be a day of meat. It will involve (predictably) truffle, and it will leave me stuffed.

Something called the Steakhouse Burger will fit the bill nicely, and please don't tell me you ever ordered that more than medium. As stated too many times: so juicy, so everything good.

And yes please upcharge me for the truffle Parmesan fries, the perfect compliment (or just order them standalone).

Brunch options look tasty as well, and you can get some of that Great Maple in the French toast logs, or Great Maple BLT if you dare. I'll be back when I'm in the greater Pasadena area.

Boy, do I like this restaurant! As do my wife, kids and grandkids. Tired of the de rigeur chicken and waffles? Have their chicken and maple-bacon doughnuts. To die for. As are their French toast logs. And their BLT (order the optional maple-chili bacon) will spoil you for BLTs for years to come. Finish with the beignets. To put it another way: finish with the beignets. Trust me on this. One quibble. You can only make an online reservation for 5 people. Makes no sense. Especially to me, with a family of 6. But they’ll probably fix that soon. I hope. Aside from that: Attentive, caring, efficient waitstaff. Including managers who bus tables and fill water glasses. “Ain’t my job” need not apply. Great Maple is one of the good ones in every respect.

I came to Great Maple for the first time with my niece for our monthly "Auntie and Me". Our waiter, Ernie was a pleasure. He was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu items and always had a smile. The food was delicious and recipes were well thought out. I had the chicken sandwich with a side salad. The chicken was so tender, moist and crunchy. However, it was missing flavor. There was a spicy aioli that came on the sandwich but the chicken itself was bland. Nevertheless, it was so tender and juicy, I may have to give it another try. The side salad came with a maple viniagrette which was very tasty. My niece ordered the Grilled Chicken Bowl. This dish was amazing, bursting with flavor.The chicken was over grains in a hummus type of sauce. Based on the menu description, I never would have ordered this, but I can't wait to go back and have it. This was a wonderful experience.

The waiter was spot on with food suggestions! Service and food were memorable. The maple bacon old fashion, the maple bacon donuts with chicken, the portabella fries are a must try!! Generous portions so we took food home to enjoy again! Great atmosphere and attentive staff(seemed like everyone wanted to make it a great evening). We will return!

Delicious food, served in ample portions bordering on too large. This was our third visit and we look forward to coming back. They do need more waiters because it is always busy.

My first time and for a Friday night, there was no energy in the restaurant, very few patrons, my ribs were tough, my wife's pasta was not cooked. Weird vibe.

The restaurant was not busy at all.
Hostess did not even acknowledge our Open Table reservation and seemed to have cared less.
Seated 5 of us outside at a cramped table for 4 when they easily could have pulled another small table in to make it more roomy and comfortable.
Hummus appetizer was very oily and not worth the price with a few pieces of pita bread, cucumber, radish shavings - really??
Turkey bologanesa was very good.
The first time we ate here we sat inside and couldn't even hear ourselves across the table it was so noisy. We tried outside this time and it was better except for the obvious lack of interest in our comfort by the staff.
Highlight was when server dropped my husband's French fries off his plate next to our table which were promptly gobbled up by the neighboring daschund!

Waited 15mins with reservation which is fine as this is a busy restaurant. After sat on wobbly table, took another 20mins for service to arrive to get our drink order and fix the table. Food and drink came out fast enough. At the end of meal, manager Vanessa came to my table at least 6 times within 10 mins, looks like she wants us to leave so I asked for check and leave. Very unwelcoming.

I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve eaten here five or six times and the food is consistently quite good, but there’s a consistent aspect of the service which is absolutely baffling and has prevented me from dining here more frequently: Every time I’ve dined here, it has taken ten minutes to get drinks. And I’m talking beer and wine—not cocktails. The bartender pours them within a minute and then they sit there for another nine. It’s rather stewing to be seated where you can see the beads of sweat rolling down what is surely your beer glass while your server bustles about tending to everyone and everything but your beverage at the service bar, but that was my last visit.

This visit only ten of their forty-five or so tables were occupied so I had higher hopes. Alas, ten minutes later I was proven mistaken as sweaty beer and white wine glasses were set upon our table with a splash. Since you can’t be troubled to get the drinks out sooner, at least give them a wipe down, would you?
To add insult to injury, the portobello fries starter (excellent, btw) arrived two minutes after our entrees (which our server had dropped and run without comment; we figured they had been forgotten entirely) delivered by someone other than our server who said “Oh, I guess you probably were supposed to get these first” before shuffling away. Surprisingly, we got no acknowledgement or apology for the late app from our server.

In conclusion: Food is definitely recommended but the service is inexplicably slow even when near-empty. Consider grabbing a drink elsewhere first and maybe avoid seats with a view of the service bar.

My friend and I came to Great Maple to have lunch. The menu looked good and I made a reservation because I got the sense that lunch time would be very busy. The restaurant was only about half full inside with almost nobody on the large patio (it was a hot day). The decor inside is very nice with beautiful lighting fixtures and we were seated right away.
My friend and I both ordered the turkey burger with fries. She had asked the server which he liked better, the turkey burger or another item, and he didn't seem to really be familiar with the food. The turkey burger comes with 'melted brie, arugula, caramelized onion marmalade, and aioli', so I was expecting a really juicy and messy burger. Unfortunately, the turkey burger was dry with two tiny pieces of brie, a couple of arugula leaves, a bit of aioli, and no onions. My friend asked for mustard and was initially told by our server that they didn't have mustard, but then he came back with some dijon. The fries were also a bit greasy and over salted.
Our server apparently went on a break but didn't tell us and then we had someone new helping us. When he collected our money, it took 10-15 minutes for someone to come back with the credit card.
Service was pleasant but erratic; decor and ambiance was good; food was poor.

The service was completely horrible. We waited over an hour after we placed our order for someone to even come to tell us there was some sort of mix up with our order. Im not sure if it was the manager or not, she didnt identify herself. After she took our order again we waited another 30-40 minutes to get our food, during this time our waiter was absent. At the very least they should have offered a
complimentary appetizer to hold us over for waiting so long. It was extremely disappointing and we will
never go back again.

We were absolutely shocked at how extremely noisy the restaurant was when we went for lunch on Saturday. Literally, my ear drums were hurting. Screaming babies; loud parties; tables too close together; music playing; children running around out of control and parents just ignoring them. Not an enjoyable experience. The food wasn't as good as when we were there before. The hostess/manager said that it is usually like that on weekends for brunch. We'll we scratching Great Maple off of our list.

Service was not great. Our waiter didn’t know the daily special and we were left waiting way too long for drinks while the bartender could be seen chatting instead of working. Chicken and donuts was great. Salad was good. Fish and veggies were extremely unimpressive especially for the price. But the menu and ambiance were enough to make me look forward to giving this place another shot.

My boyfriend and I came for brunch to celebrate our anniversary this past weekend and honestly, I think this may be my new go-to brunch spot. We got the portobello mushroom fries to share, which were phenomenal with the pesto sauce that it came with (and kudos to the kitchen for giving us a plentiful amount of dipping sauce). My boyfriend got the chicken and avocado toast, which he enjoyed, saying that the chicken was super juicy and tender, and I got the fried chicken and doughnuts, which is their specialty. It's a play/riff off fried chicken and waffles but instead of waffles, they give you two maple bacon donuts. It was absolutely decadent (and probably too much food to be honest). The only negative that I had (and it's super minor) was that they sat us pretty close to the check-in desk so we felt a bit claustrophobic since it was filled with people during the brunch rush. I just know next time to ask for a table outside or not so close to the front of the restaurant. I'll definitely be back!

Our party of five had a mixed bag at Sunday brunch. While the French Toast Planks were tasty and wonderfully presented, and the Parmesian Fries were equally yummy, two veggie scrambles were so bland as to be tasteless. And the potatoes they were served with were overdone. And one of our salad orders was brought to the table wrong TWICE, and when we finally asked to simply send the order back, the staff got into an argument with us insisting that the diner in question eat "something." Offering a replacement meal was a nice touch -- insisting on it was a little weird. Finally, the noise level was so loud, we could barely hear each other. The restaurant's acoustics are terrible -- or are designed with so many hard surfaces that even moderate noise levels are amplified to the point of pain. We really wanted to like this place, but our experience was sub-optimal.

The food is always spectacular which is why we return. But, I have to say the service is pretty lackluster. The hostesses are less than gracious or hospitable. The servers are hit or miss — they either knock it out of the park or you’re waiting an inordinate amount of time between courses.

The issue is clearly a lack of Hospitality training, which, quite frankly, is a Management issue, not a staff one.

If you’re simply a Foodie, I’d say go. You’ll definitely enjoy the meal. But if it’s an overall experience you’re searching...steer clear.

Food was great & good attitude from staff. Had the truffle deviled eggs, portobello fries, two egg breakfast, blt, & French toast logs. All delicious! Favorite drink was the bear expresso-ties! Just wished the server was a little bit more attentive and that we didn’t have to wait 10-15 minutes for each drink after ordering. Would probably go back to try the rest of the menu though, definitely the chicken and doughnut.

The waiters never checked on us. It took 20 minutes to get our food ordered. Another 40 minutes for it to come out. Bad experience.

The service was very slow and the restaurant was not busy. The salad had squishy cherry tomatoes that seemed to have gone bad. The BLT was big and tasty but had too many french fries.
