Nice to be back. We enjoyed our meal. Good server. Due to the weather we had to eat inside but not a problem.
Great food and service.
We ate inside before covid and it was very loud. Couldn’t even hear the person next to me. We have been recently 3-4 times and ate outside and it was so nice! Loved it.
Hi there -thanks for your feedback! Things can definitely get a little noisy with a full house. So glad you've enjoyed dining on our patio this summer! See you again soon!
Grazie was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the house bread and salads to start. The Cesar salad was excellent. The mushroom soup was outstanding, excellent balance of flavors with an abundance of mushrooms. Each of us had different entree's and everyone was pleased. The value was outstanding as they have a buy one, get one special right now and our dinner for 4 was very affordable. They are doing a great job with the Covid-19 restrictions and we felt very safe. Support this local eatery!

I had the chicken cream dish with the Italian dumplings - it was excellent and so hot I had to let it set for 10 minutes. My wife's dinner was excellent, too. I had a great Old fashioned (they have an EXCELLENT Whiskey selection).
Our server was great.

Hi TereseK - thanks for your review! We're so glad you enjoyed your experience with us! Hope to see you again soon.
In January we paid $235 for 3 meals for a graduation dinner for this past weekend. We didn’t go to Grazie because our sons graduation was cancelled and we live in NY. We called Grazie many times to ask for our credit card to be credited since we weren’t traveling to Indiana. We were told many times they didn’t have an answer on how they were handling refunds and then finally were told we couldn’t get our money back only a credit at the restaurant. The problem is the restaurant isn’t open due to the pandemic and we live in NY and will not be going to Indiana. The GM said she couldn’t give us a credit on our credit card. We asked her to discuss this with the owners and get back to us but she never did. I ate at the restaurant before the pandemic and the food and service was horrible. We were willing to give them another chance for our sons graduation and prepaid for meals we didn’t receive and aren’t getting reimbursed for. This is a terrible business decision this restaurant made during a pandemic!!! Every other restaurant gave us our money back NOT a credit to eat there which we will never use.I would not recommend this restaurant and will tell everyone I know about how poorly they handled this!!! Shame on you Grazie!!!!!!
Do not go to this restaurant! We had a graduation dinner booked that was non refundable. Event and dinner did not happen
Bailey the restaurant manager would not refund the amount paid. Awful!!
I would never step foot in that restaurant again and I hope no one else will either.
All good but had to wait 30 mins for a cocktail as the “bartender was backed up” very long time to wait for a cocktail when sitting at yor table.
We had a very large group and it is difficult to get all things right when you have a large group!
Our group enjoyed the evening.
Hi David - thanks for your review! We're glad you large group enjoyed their evening overall!
This was a belated Valentine dinner with my hubby since I’d had surgery. One of our favorite places to dine!
Hi CarolS - thanks for your feedback! We're so glad you enjoyed your belated Valentine's dinner here with us!
The food was meh. The service was bad. I don't frequent Grazie often as this is usually the situation for me. Overall, far too expensive for the quality of the product delivered.
The Bartender D L was the highlight. Really enjoyed his expertise
Hi RickK - thanks for your review! We're so glad DL took such good care of you. Feel free to let us know anything we can improve for next time!
I never have written a review on here before but our meal took over
Just looking for a nice Italian meal with my daughter while I was down visiting IU. Did not turn out as expected. The noise level was ridiculous and we had to shout to have a conversation. I had to order 3 different bottles of wine before we found one that they had in stock. BTW, it took our server 15 minutes between EACH bottle to tell us they were out of the wine. What this translated to was almost an hour before our orders were taken and, ultimately, a three and a half hour dinner. That would have been fine if we could have carried on a conversation, but.. Food was average to poor, but we were so hungry we would have eaten anything. Did not even offer dessert. Good thing Baked (the cookie store) was open. Cant say that I will be back.
Took forever(25 min) to get our first cocktail. Our waiter Thomas said there was a log jam at the bar. Everything else was served in timely manner. Happy with the waiter if indeed it was the bartenders fault.
Mixed reactions on food (7 of us). Ranging from really good to just ok. The marinara sauce was tolerable but not great. The chicken Picatta was dry so not much flavor from sauce.
Expensive for the quality of food.
Viewed menu on line and chose this restaurant based on the on line posted menu. Sat down and there was only a limited menu left over from the previous days Valentine's day menu. Very limited.
I’m giving low ratings because the restaurant failed to alert customers that they’ll be serving only limited menu on both 2/14 and 2/15. I made a reservation for 2/15 thinking it would offer a regular menu. However, when we were sitted, we were informed that the regular menu is not available.
We have been several times and we have always had a great experience. The only reason I cannot give five stars this time is because we booked on the 15th to avoid Valentine’s Day, but when we got there it was a limited menu. We went for some specific food items and when we booked it never said there was a limited food menu so it was very disappointing.. I was not happy with my selection, not because I’m sure it was wonderful, but becauseI I have certain food restrictions. The waitress was very sweet and Most at the table could find something they would eat. I just felt bad for her because we were not the only ones disappointed and she had to keep explaining it to them. It wasn’t her fault
Before going to Grazie Italiano I made reservations a week a head of time knowing that the restaurant was most likely going to be busy. Making the reservations a week in advance I was hoping to get a decent table for my girlfriend and I to sit at but, instead I got a table upstairs in the very back corner. Not only was our table in a terrible position but the service was terrible. We were basically neglected throughout the entire dinner. Our waitress seemed fairly new to be a waitress and was very overwhelmed with what was going on. To add on top of everything they would not accept the Groupon coupon that I purchased in advance. The Groupon did not have any guidelines of what I could and could not purchase. The coupon was for $30 and our bill was more than $60 but they still would not accept the coupon. If you want a terrible dining experience with an over priced bill this is a perfect place for you. Make sure you take the extra time out of your day to make a reservation a week in advance to get a table in the very back corner.
as a college student, The Valentine’s day menu was confusing and very small and extremely expensive. We did not know that there was a special Valentines day menu, so we definitely chose the wrong weekend to dine at Grazie.
My husband, father-in-law (FIL) and I went on Saturday, February 15, 2020. We were there at 4:15 p.m., so ahead of dinner rush. (There were maybe 4-5 other tables seated.) The restaurant offered a limited menu for the holiday, which is fine, but its food game should've been 110% with so few options. Sadly, it was more like 50%. We ordered a calamari appetizer that cost $9. The portion size was small, the breading was blah, and the calamari was kind of chewy. Because the waitress warned us about the small app size, we also ordered the $10 brie plate. Half the apple slices were brown, and the brie wedge was tiny and lukewarm when it was served. My FIL ordered chicken parmesan for his main meal, which is pretty standard fare for an Italian place. The spaghetti was cold and the chicken was...okay. My husband ordered a cold eggplant dish that was mediocre at best, especially since the roasted red peppers tasted like something out of a jar. (I'm pretty sure it was Marzetti's brand based on the oil and flavor.) My roasted chicken fettuccine was okay, but nothing to write home about. The waitress, unsure what to do when I told her about the cold pasta, knocked $10 off an already overpriced chicken parm. She did provide good service overall, however. Considering we drove an hour from Columbus (IN) to get to the restaurant, we were really disappointed by the whole experience. We're definitely not going back.
Second time I’ve booked with the company, and second time the restaurant has closed early and cancelled two reservations! Poor poor management!! Also never heard back after complaining the first time
I don't think I have ever written a review before, but after this experience I feel compelled to do so. They were woefully unprepared for our reservation. We were seated 45 minutes late and people who showed up starting at 9:00 p.m. were told they wouldn't be able to be seated at all. By the time we sat, they also had run out of many things. We had to ask 4 times for water, which finally arrived after our entrees (for a 3-course meal). There was also a pre-set menu for Valentine's Day, even though they made no mention of this on their website. It was supposed to be 4 courses for $50, and none of the entree options with which we were presented could justify that cost. I know someone who went earlier in the day had steak as an option, but that wasn't even on our menus. Above all, I was appalled the manager never came by to apologize for the delay or offer any sort of consolation. After all that wait and less than stellar meal options, I would have expected to at least get one drink for free. That said, I can understand that sometimes bad things happen when you least expect them. Though I wasn't excited about the limited options presented to us for dinner, I think they tasted pretty good and I would be interested in trying some of the dishes I had been hoping to try before the surprise prefix menu debacle.
Avoid this place at all costs. Its literally a scam disguised as a restaurant. We wanted to try this place for Valentine's Day and arrived on time for our reservation. We were told somebody was at our table but they should be leaving soon. A half hour later (and after two couples that came in after us were seated), we asked about our table. With an attitude, they asked my wife if we arrived late. After we told them what they told us, they seemed caught off-guard and proceeded to seat us. As we walked toward our table, we noticed there were at least 5 or 6 empty tables, even though there were at least that many couples waiting in the foyer - some as long as we were. When we got to our table, we were handed the menu, which was a special Valentine's Day menu at $50 per person. This was never stated on their website or when the reservations were made. We felt completely bait-and-switched, as this would be at least double what we planned to pay. We ended up walking out. The next day, we found out that they were already out of all desserts and multiple other food items by the time we were seated; and multiple couples were forced to pay $100 for roughly a two-course meal. Grazie is a joke and we will not be going there again. Look up Yelp reviews before going here, it's awful.
Had reservations and stood in line with a few others. People ahead of us has to wait as previous patrons still had their table. We were seated in a makeshift hallway for our dinner. No menus given to us when seated. Nice waiter came an brought us waters but no menus yet. When we finally received one menu from the host it was an abbreviated menu. Upon the waiters return he announced that it was a special menu for the evening being a 4 course meal at $50 per person. There was no mention of this “special” menu at the front door, at the the hostess stand, website or Facebook. Due to dietary restrictions and the lack of prior notification of the menu we left the restaurant without ordering. Not impressed!
We went there tonight on Valentine's Day and the whole experience was very disappointing. We went there because we found a great deal on Groupon.. only to find out (after the dinner), that they don't accept Groupon deals on "special days." Ok, what are those "special days" and where does it mention that on Groupon or on your menu? Since it's Valentines Day, their only menu was the $50/pp 4-course menu. Although we went there at 5:30pm, they were already out of the steak option. Ok, I guess I will take Eggplant Pomodora then. Guess what? This entree is served ice cold (not mentioned on the menu)!! Really? For $50 meal? Very disappointing. Finally, I tried to keep a good attitude and order my favorite Italian dessert... Tiramisu. Well, guess what? He said somebody in the back dropped the whole Tiramisu tray and it was not available. So they only had one tray of Tiramisu for the whole evening when it was on the fixed menu? Unbelievable. Well, I do believe somebody did probably drop the tray...we were seated near the kitchen entrance and saw at least 4 servers either drop something or slip/fall as they carried food (just from 5:30 to 6:45pm!). Overall, what a disappointing Valentine's Day meal. Unfortunately, we will never be going back even though we still have the Groupon voucher... who knows, it might be another "special day" and they won't take our coupon anyway!
Super expensive but was out of half the menu. Disrespectful service
Food was great but it was a packed night with many large groups. We waited an hour and a half for our food. It was very loud and hard to hear people talk at our table.
Our waitress was great ... nothing she could do ... the kitchen was backed up. Once we got our food it was delicious.
This has actually happened to me a few times at Gratzi’s Two things I wish Gratzi’s would work on....
One, if they are packed with people and have a lot of reservations ... please hire more staff for the kitchen!
Two, place some tiles in the ceiling to deaden the sound ! Uptown used to have the same problem and now it’s great. They should do the same.
I keep going back because their food is good but just don’t be in a hurry!
Took 3 hours to have dinner
We had reservations. We were seated quickly but the table below us that was a bigger party was served finished and another party seated and fed before we were. We were there over two hours. We were seated upstairs and the other tables up there had slow service too. I doubt that we Will go back. The food was good but it absolutely not worth the painfully long wait.
