   The environment was incredible and the waitstaff was nice; but the menu was disappointing. There were a handful of entrees to choose from and they were all bland. It’s the first time in a really long time my husband and I didn’t know what to order because the choices were underwhelming. I ended up piecemealing a meal from shareable items- seasonal veggie, small salad, steak tartar. The seasonal veggie was fried brussel sprouts- they were good. The salad was ho-hum and the steak tartar was flavorless. I was pretty disappointed in the menu! I was hoping for either something unique and spicy, a fun pasta dish, or something duck, goat or another unique meat. The ambience was beautiful and walking around the art was fun- I wish the menu was more fun!

    Food was not great. Service was rushed. Waiter was not the most friendly, asked for a cup of ice twice, and just did not have a friendly energy. Ordered 3 dips, pimento cheese was a bowl of cheese and oil, babaganoush tasted nothing like it, steak tartar had no seasoning whatsoever.

    Wonderful dinner here - a very nice respite from the chaotic fun of Broadway. Quiet so you can enjoy great conversation. Excellent service. Easy walk from Bridgestone Arena. Really enjoyed it.

    Limited menu Waiter asked us to order while standing/waiting few moments after arrival No explanation or special or suggestions Forgot our drinks Appetizer was at best, Okk Salad was so dry that waiter explained it as they ran out of greens then finally brought a time of “mixed Caesar” to pour over it. One main was very good other seemed strewn on the plate was cold and flavors just did not mix well, plus overcooked. Surprisingly, non-attentive waiter + dessert was paltry offerings. Cookies pudding or ice cream. Seated in the bar though had made an early reservation + was a hotel guest the atmosphere clearly lacked in comparison to the music dining area. I would not suggest this to anyone unless unfortunately need to grab a large table for business.

    Little hole in the wall place but when you get there it does not disappoint! Unique art, comfortable and varied seating, food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. The only negative if I was forced to point one out would be the obscure location of the bathroom. Will be back here.

    There were 2 of us. One person got the omelet which was the smallest omelette I have ever seen and came with a piece of toast without butter or jelly. It was just a piece of bread. That was very disappointing. The other person got a hamburger which was good. Not sure I would come back. Server was great though.

    Everything was excellent the server was amazing and the food was very good. My only night time the place where is that we substituted grits for chow chow and they charge to six dollars each which I thought was a little bit high but nonetheless it was still a good meal.

    Great atmosphere and appetizers/salad. Service seemed disorganized and not quite prompt, but respectful. Meat entrees were either dry or not tastefully seasoned. Would return but not our favorite.

    We enjoyed our dinner at Gray & Dudley. The decor, with all the art installations, is beautiful. The meal started well with some amazing appetizers. We really loved the dips (the liver mousse and the pimento cheese were especially good.) The hushpuppies were delicious! We were very excited for the main courses but felt a little let down once they arrived. The pork chop was blah without much flavor, and the ribeye steak was served on cold potato puree. The green beans we ordered as a side arrived after we'd eaten the main meal. For a great start, the entree course was a let down, unfortunately.

    Food was good but steak was served luke warm, red wine was served chilled (?), service was friendly but distracted, didn’t have the desert option published on their online menu. I picked the restaurant based on their open table 4.6 star review and was a little disappointed.

    WE had drinks and snacks in the bar then moved to the dining room for dinner. It was enjoyable being in both sections and the service was very good in both. Delicious food (we have eaten there before) and an interesting and unusual list of wines by the glass or quartino. We will go back again

    We traveled through the south for 10 days, and this was among our best meals. We loved the southern fusion cuisine. My favorite was the snap pea and radish salad - served cold and fresh with perfect crunch and dressing, balanced savory/sweet. Pork with cornbread and blueberries also very good. The restaurant is in a hotel with a serious 21st C art gallery! There is art in the restaurant, and after dinner, we explored three floors of a provocative exhibition - this made the evening really special. Would definitely recommend (already did).

    The service was great! We were sat in the back of the restaurant by the open fire behind a partition. It was 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the restaurant and uncomfortable with no air flow. The old fashioned was good as was the burger and fries. The max and cheese was very salty without much additional flavor. The chicken was tough and the skin was soggy because the grits were basically soup. I’ve seen others pictures of the chicken and our certainly did not look the same. Maybe it was an off night but we will not be returning. Too many good restaurants in Nashville to go back.

    I want to give this place a 10 out of 5, it was so awesome. Went with hubby for brunch- I had the bankers breakfast, he has the crispy potato cake with extra side of bacon- both were phenomenal, the food is definitely elevated from the usual you get- the service was impeccable, refilling my water almost after every sip & asking how everything was going just enough times to be appreciated. Would highly recommend.

    We made this reservation last minute and this was an excellent find! The interesting takes on Southern food we’re exciting and comforting at the same time. The cocktails were spectacular and everyone at our table had at least 2. Also the trip to the bathroom through an art exhibit was an added bonus!

    Wonderful experience … we were seated in the back, near kitchen and wood burning stove. At first, this was fine.. but it became hot and humid after a while. I’d also appreciate bathrooms in the restaurant, and not located for hotel use.
