Absolutely beautiful building & atmosphere! The food was excellent. We had a party of 8. We got the grilled Caesar (with dressing on the side), beet salad, salmon, lasagna, ck parmigiana, seafood imperial, and cocktails/wine. Everything tasted great and large potions. But I’m dinging the service rating for only the waitress. The tall water/bread man was wonderful, friendly, & attentive! But our petite female waitress with short hair (can’t remember her name) almost wrecked our night. If the food & atmosphere weren’t as good as they were, the waitress would cause us not to return. Here’s why: She wasn’t very friendly & tried up-selling us on everything! Starting by trying to guilt us into an appetizer after we said no twice, that we would all be ordering salads for appetizer. Then when ordering main meal, she asked: Would you like the spicy sausage or the scallops next to your lasagna?” (Made it sound like it’s included. Especially since the menu states the lasagna includes sausage!). She should’ve told us it was an extra sausage link on the side! Each was a $10 up-charge. Also, It was our child’s birthday & she proactively brought out a standard birthday dessert without us asking for it (which was thoughtful!), but then charged us $10 for it. We did ask to have it taken off the bill, which she did, but it was embarrassing to have to ask in front of the other 7 people. To restaurant mgt: please train this waitress to let the customer know if it’s an up-charge. I know the term buyer-beware, but our waitress was very sneaky about it. We were up-charged on 3 items, plus charged for a birthday surprise dessert. In addition, every person is charged $2 for Covid. That’s crazy….nobody does this! It’s 6/12/21! We were even on the lookout for being up-charged since we read multiple reviews beforehand complaining & warning about this same issue. It is was true! Not cool. We will return again since it’s a pretty place with good food…but not if it happens a 2nd time.
Very cautious with COVID precautions. Great attention to detail. Nice outside area.
Always top notch. The homemade pasta, the focaccia, the cocktails and atmosphere make a great experience
Birthday dinner. Service a little slow. There were a couple of times we sat with our glasses totally empty. As a former server that’s a big no no. Other than that. Five stars all around.
We had a very delicious dinner in a fun and interesting atmosphere. The homemade Pici pasta was amazing! Our server was informative, and attentive.
Eat the seafood imperial! You will not regret it! The best!
Girls night out
Attentive service. Cool old world themed decor that resembles an old church at times. Waitress greeted us with a complimentary toast of wine. Complimentary focaccia that was made in house. The sauce with the traditional meatballs was full of so much flavor. My carbonara was wonderful. Will be going back.
The restaurant is beautiful and the food was amazing! Great service and we had a great time!
We had an amazing dinner at Grassa Gramma! Food was the best Italian food I have ever had! The atmosphere is beautiful and service is wonderful
Upon being seated we were instructed to remove our bread plate, napkin and utensils out of a sealed bag so we could be given bread. Then we were given a small taste of wine, which was really good. My party then placed a drink order. Our food order was taken and within what seemed like only a few minutes our food arrived. All the plates looked wonderful. Unfortunately my food was only room temperature. And no I did not return it because everyone else would be finished with their meal while I was still eating. Also we had to ask for the bread we never received. In my opinion the drinks are somewhat overpriced and I wished we didn't have to pay the extra 2 dollars for a safety fee. Your restaurant is beautiful and we did enjoy the beauty of the inside.
Personal touch, attentive service, amazing food and great romantic ambiance!
Delicious Italian food! Pasta was very fresh and cooked perfectly! Cocktails and lemoncello torte was great. Only complaint the entire visit was that the bus boy kept trying to clear our plates before we were done eating. It made us feel rushed to eat our meal. Would return and recommend to friends.
It is quite an experience to dine at Grassa Gramma! It takes you to another world! We had the Gucci booth we are all for animal rescue! The food was exquisitely divine. Service is impeccable! Cleanliness is next to Godliness!! Attention to detail from management to service, not to mention, providing clean flatware/silverware at each course was impressive! Hats off to Grassa Gramma and their team!

Our first visit to Grassa Gramma was to support a fundraiser for Americana. We appreciate this support of the immigrant community by Grassa Gramma. Charming Old World atmosphere. We were upstairs, secluded in a nave, hung with beautiful pastoral paintings. Chairs do need to be upgraded. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was tasty. Enjoyed the novelty of grilled Caeser salad.
The food, service, and the atmosphere were terrific. Will definitely go back.
Beth, Thank you so much for your review! We cannot put into words how happy we are that you had a 5-star experience here at Grassa! We appreciate your patronage and cannot wait to welcome you back soon!
Delicious Italian food, great service, beautiful setting.
The atmosphere is amazing as you are transported back to an old Italian courtyard. The service is amazing and the food to die for! The pasta is made fresh each day and there is no wrong choice to be made
Chris, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We are thrilled that you love Grassa as much as we do! We certainly look forward to seeing you again soon, we'll meet you in the old Italian Courtyard! :)
Food was mediocre at best. Beautiful setting. Disorganized at entry. Service slow.
The over-the-top decor makes this a fun place to try and the food was fine. However, in fine print wine prices are listed for "half a glass." When our check arrived I then discovered that the 2 glasses of wine each of us had ordered was essentially double the price expected; also unexpectedly charged $2.00 per person for "Covid Safety" which I assume meant our silverwear was wrapped in plastic. For expectations I'd say you're looking at a glass half full.
Drinks were good. Artichoke dip and beet salad was real good. The carbonara was way salty and the steak was tasteless.
Excellent evening outside. Twitty (Amanda C.) took great care of us and the entire porch! As always, the Cacio e Pepe and Carbonara was wonderful.
Had a great experience and would do it again any time.
Food and Ambiance was perfect. We really enjoyed everything and will be back.
This is the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been too inside.
Food & service was excellent. Food was little slow on coming out but came out hot.
Pricy but food is good and service is excellent
Excellent food and service for our anniversary!!
Table was tiny. Caesar salad was not palatable. Food was somewhat bland and overpriced. Service was good.
Excellent service, extraordinary food!
This is my second visit to this restaurant. The food was good and the service was average. We sat outside which is a nice little patio section. I like the option to be able to sit outside. Thank you.
Beautiful ambiance. Very good food. A great place to celebrate or take a date.
Very different experience. Almost puts you on a street corner in Italy. Beautiful building and food and service was excellent. Bit pricy but you get what you pay for.
If you want a dining experience rather than just a meal, Grassa Gramma will meet that expectation! Beautiful decor, excellent service, and food that surpasses anything you may have imagined both in taste & presentation will give you that experience!
The ambience is amazing! I got a $10 salad that was very tiny and had a very strange dressing. The Italian food is good, but not great for The prices. Also, the masks, gloves, silverware packaged in plastic seems a bit much now that the world is opening up.
The restaurant it’s self was very pretty but the lights flickering were a bit intense. The food was not as good as I had hoped and our waitress took very long to come help us.
A beautiful building; staff well trained and attentive; food was very, very good. Not a huge menu but what they serve, they do very well. Really enjoyed a great meal in a romantic atmosphere.
your price on a the filet went up$10 that's why i rated value poor.
