Grappa Italian Restaurant
*Winner of the Best of Park City Italian and Most Romantic Restaurant for 2018!*
Great dinner and excellent Limoncello
We had a drink spill on us from the second floor and the help had no idea what to do. They owe us for dry cleaning and much more it was Valentine’s Day and they had no security. As a repeat patrion for over 25 years it was horrible service. Brian Baumgardner
Valentines Day was very special at Grappa!
Vacation. We try to eat at Grappa every time we’re in Park City.
Always great food but dislike feeling rushed and being stuck up on the ‘kiddie’ top floor.
Our waiter, service and food were all excellent. Would highly recommend, and get reservations for sure. Very busy.
Our food was rushed. They brought the main course right after salads and we couldn’t get our cocktails delivered on time. Have been coming here for years but sadly this may be the last time. Service was not good.
We had another wonderful dinner, and great service at Grappa.
However, we were surprised that the red wine was served at room temperature, and probably even warmer. We had to use a large glass of ice to make a nice bottle of wine drinkable. It would be a good idea for such a wonderful restaurant to pay attention to the wine temp....it makes all the difference!
Generally seems like a solid place, but I’d avoid on the weekends as the crowds clearly overwhelm the place.
We booked an 8:45pm reservation (it was that or 5pm in open table) and tables weren’t available until after 9pm. It wasn’t just our table....there were about 7 other groups who were also substantially delayed, so plan accordingly when selecting your dinner time.
The hostess was less than stellar, and seemed frazzled. Ultimately we were seated. The food was solid (Osso Bucco was on par with NYC-area eats) and wine list seemed reasonable. Service was attentive, and ambiance was quaint (good for date night, but still energetic).
They ran out of the eggplant parm after it was recco’d by our server and we ordered, which didn’t help in the overall rating. While a decent meal, the service level of being seated and having menu availability were definitely not on par with what I’d expect from such a highly recommended establishment in park city.
I recommend this restaurant with contingencies. We dine out a LOT so we have expectations. Additionally, we moved to PC in the Fall and has been wanting to try Grappa. Since its a Bill White restaurant, we expected the same quality and ambiance as his other places. For $250 we (overall) expected better quality food. The service was fantastic! We walked in with no reservation and were seated immediately. However, we were seated downstairs directly across from the kitchen - which lasted long enough to receive our beverages and we wanted to move. The kitchen staff was VERY loud and we heard about the new girl that one of the guys just banged along with countless F bombs. We were moved upstairs to a gorgeous spot with great views. Our server upstairs was very accommodating. Mushroom soup is great (best thing we had) and the chocolate tartufo is great. We also had the osso buco and pork chop... osso buco was a bit overcooked but the chop was good. Since it was not busy (we arrived at opening) it seems there would be no reason for the osso buco to have been overcooked. I would say that Chimayo food flavor and quality surpasses Grappa. We will try again and request to be seated upstairs and hopefully next time the food will be cooked to expectation. If you go - expect noise and ask about meat temperatures.
Fabulous evening. My husband had the grilled chop & it was absolutely delicious. I had the eggplant parmigiana & it was good but nothing special. The service was wonderful & we will definitely be back.
This is a fabulous restaurant in all ways (food, service, ambiance). The mushroom soup was the absolute BEST soup I've ever tasted. I loved this restaurant and would definitely include it in my top picks for a return trip.
Our waiter Henry was first class and made our experience outstanding. We had a great evening and the food was excellent!!
The entry way, waiting area was packed and unruly upon arrival. But once we were seated, service was outstanding. My wife had the “best eggplant parm I’ve ever had) & I had the Osso Bucco which was uncharacteristically tough and dry. I mentioned it to the delightful server and within minutes the manager stopped by to apologize and removed the $50 entree from my bill. We were blown away by their gesture. Sometimes you just get a bad cut, but the service was amazing. Will definitely return to Grappa!
It was a great meal with a great waiter just really great
nice restaurant but the waiters are too intrusive. I don't need the waiter to be my friend. I didn't need another guest at dinner. He even insisted we shake his hand while we were dining!
A wonderful evening with great service and delicious food
We go to Grappa every year while visiting Deer Valley. The ambience and food are amazing! We love sitting on the second floor where you can see what’s going on upstairs and downstairs. This year our server Kira was just OK. Not attentive and when I ordered a glass on wine, my husband tried to also order a beer but she literally ran away as he said and I... didn’t ruin the meal but expect much more based on past visits with other servers.
Great food, atmosphere, and waitress! Will be back again
We used to love Grappa and have always enjoyed taking our guests there for dinner. The last two times that we have been, including last night, was not good. I had the scallops and the pasta was way too salty and very greasy. My husband had the bolognese and he did not enjoy it at all. Our friends were underwhelmed with their dinners as well. The food is no longer as delicious or exciting, and there are many other options in town that we will try.
Excellent food, wonderful ambience and service.
Server could not had been more rude. Resturant was very unorganized.
I’ve been here on multiple occasions. This particular evening was a prefix menu. The waitstaff brought the food out to quickly and made the evening feel rushed. We had to purposely refuse plates to slow the pace. Probably an anomaly in service but worth mentioning
The best part was leaving
Grappa we had bend to before during the Sundance festival and
Great! All wonderful!
Due to Sundance the only option was a prefix menu but we were not told this in advance. We were rushed through a 3 course meal despite asking for the entree to be slowed down. We were in and out of the restaurant in less than an hour.
Bill white price fix has past its time. The pace of dining forcing 2 appetizers is unpleasant. Experienced at more than one of the brands restauarants
Ordered Filet on Pre-Fix menu. Asked for it to be cooked “medium”. First time meat was “rare” and cold, Second attempt meat was “well done”. After several apologies, a third attempt returned another “very rare” piece of meat.
Very disappointed with the experience, unlike other times we visited Grapa.
The atmosphere is wonderful, the charm of the restaurant is great. We were up on the 3rd floor, which I thought was not going to be great, but we were given an amazing alcove table with views out the windows and into the restaurant. The dinner was incredible- probably the best meal I have ever eaten in my life. Every thing each person ordered was mind blowing wonderful. Incredible evening all around.
The prix fixe menu was way overpriced.
Canceled a later reservation at Chimayo for that reason.
Price Fixe menu during Sudance was delicious and portion sizes blew us away! The mushroom crostini appetizer was my most favorite bites delivered, but everything was truly delicious!
Grappa is awesome except for one issue. Check in hostess had quite an attitude. Our coats were all quite snowy and wet. She insisted on checking them and then proceeded to put one on top the other. When I asked for separate hangers, she was quite unpleasant and refused.
Everyone else was pleasant!
Great. As always
We dine at Grappa on a yearly basis when we visit Park City and the quality of the food and service remains high quality. This time we had table with a spectacular view overlooking Main street in the falling snow.
Love the experience at Grappa! The prices are a bit high but you know it’s because you are getting quality food. I had the scallops. Enjoyed!
Always delicious! Outstanding service too. One of our favorites in PC
Solid Italian food in a beautiful environment. The spaghetti and meatballs were a hit, as was the Bolognese. The Nutella dessert was a perfect ending.
We had a wonderful dinner at Grappa. Great ambiance, great food (lobster ravioli and bolognese pasta) and great service (Leon was our server). Highly recommend.
