The staff were lovely but need more training. We did not like the difficulty having conversation with our table of five. The food was EXCELLENT!! …so easy things to improve upon and you will be five star!!

Our service was excellent, food was delicious. when we first came in the music outside was too loud and all the doors were open so it was very chilly inside. However, the doors were closed soon after, and it was quite nice. The inside dining room is a little bit cold as far as decor but the outside seems very pretty and I think it will be a very nice venue in the spring.

This was our first time dining at Grapefruit Basil for dinner. The ambience was nice. Dim lighting, the doors to the patio were open, so we had a nice view. The food was delicious and came quickly after ordering. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, however we rarely saw her after we ordered. I saw a lot of staff standing around and maybe too few servers. I had the coippino, Others had the halibut and Mary’s Chicken and all were delicious with large portions.

We live next door and decided to try the new grapefruit and basil. The old restaurant was hit and miss and had horrible service. We were pleasantly surprised!! I had crab cake Benedict which is what I typically order when I go out to breakfast. This is one of the best Benedict's I have had in the valley!! The sauce was amazing and there was tons of crab! Hubby had lox and bagels and loved it as well. Service was perfect! We are thrilled to have Tommy Bahama next door and we look forward to dining there more!'

Service is definitely improving as this newly opened venue works out details. Staff quite friendly. Lunch menu very limited. Bar still seems unable to handle orders in a timely manner. Friends tell me the dinner menu also quite limited. Likely signs of wisely opening slowly as staff are trained and procedures worked out. Food quality was good. Prices a bit high ($25 for two tacos). Hard surfaces meant poor acoustics, conversation a challenge.

Nose level was a bit high for a group dining to hear each other. A bit of rain prevented eating outdoors on the patio. Waitstaff very good and attentive. Food/drinks/dessert and coffee-was good as well. We all enjoyed our dining experience.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Drinks, apps and main course were all great as was desert! Excellent service and not pretentious. Musician playing in the patio was delightful. Love the open air feel even if you are inside as they had the doors all open so all could enjoy! We will be back!

12:15 reservation. Drinks arrived promptly. We (5) ordered 4 breakfasts and 1 Caesar salad. 45 minutes later, still did not have our food. 2 tables who were seated after us, received their food. Server was not hardly available. When I did speak with her, she said the food was coming but we still had to wait. Hot food was cold and poached eggs overcooked and cold. This was our second visit. But not coming back.

The place needs valet parking for handicap plus for lunch. Toy drive to the end to park and walk the entire way back in uneven stones and not easy. It’s not chic as it should be with that name - could be a total winner - food delicious, service terrible and slow , no ambience to draw ,,,

Beautiful restaurant, Tommy Bahama decor. Menu has many great selections. Loved our ceasar salad and pasta was delicious. Only issue was the brought salad and entree at the same time. They have only been open a week so not a problem at all. Waitress was super nice. Overall excellent! Looking forward to going back soon!

Understandably, this establishment has only been open for two weeks. However, we felt that the level of service was far below any experience we’ve ever received at a Tommy Bahama establishment. All staff seem to be distracted, or in attentive to our needs. It started with indecisiveness as to where they were going to seat the 4 of us, and then they brought us to 2 dinner, menus and 2 brunch menus. We ordered two lobster chowders, and the helper brought them to the table and then asked if we would like spoons. The food quality was wonderful and the flavor was tremendous. A option for valet would’ve been nice since we needed that service. We’ve always enjoyed our time at Tommy Bahama restaurants, we’re just hoping that we see this Miramonte pick up soon and we can continue to enjoy this new location.

We were seated at our table by 5:45 pm but never saw a waiter. After 30 minutes of waiting we asked a waiter serving the table next to us if we could have service. He said he would find someone. Forty minutes after we were seated we received water, 50 minutes after we were seated we received our cocktails. an hour after being seated we received our food. The food was pretty good but the service was horrendous.

Amazing location … Peaceful and so charming The guitarist on the diner 10/31 was excellent Good choice of music. The cocktails by Silver at the Bar were so good, she is an Excelkent bartender. The wine list is superb, very good choice .. our favorite Far Niente .. a must 🍷 We were impressed by the service of Celica She was attentive and so friendly during our dinner on the lovely patio. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty We love the Halibut and the Cioppino Do not miss the dessert… the key lime pie a must. We enjoyed everything from the beginning to the end❤️ Do not miss this place a GEM for connoisseurs ❤️

The service was pretty slow. The short rib was too tough. The crab cakes were too spicy. The halibut and tuna were ok. Overall not so good. We like Tommy Bahamas restaurant, but this was different. It was a Tommy Bahamas resort, but not their restaurant. So if you like a Tommy Bahamas, go to the restaurant and not the resort.

Just opened again and likely too new for a proper review . They will need to bring their food quality higher ( very poor Fish entree ), very small cocktail ( Manhattan ) and NO chilled sparkling water. Waiters could not properly deliver our order correctly ( four adults) . As I said, we might try again in after the first of the year.

Beautiful setting. Both the bartender and server, Jacob, were friendly and attentive. Good drinks, loved patio seating and the classical guitarist. The food was so spicy we could not eat. Recommend revisiting menu to the Tommy Bahama on El Paseo, casual.

Our 1st visit made us quickly decide we would be back soon! We had an exceptional server (Nelson) who was very knowledgeable and made spot on recommendations. The food and drink was some of the best we have had anywhere, not just our local Coachella Valley area. Definitely give Grapefruit Basil a try and spend a little time on the patio/fire pit area afterwards (live music Saturday night); great evening!
