My parents came to town and we went out to celebrate my sons football victory.
The brunch is crazy. It's packed and hard to get to the buffet tables(nearly impossible and people are constantly going 'the wrong direction' from what they instruct people to go). The layout of the room isn't designed for a brunch more or less. A bit overpriced in my opinion (drinks are not included in the buffet pricing) but the food was really good maybe not as large of a selection of foods as other restaurants for brunch but what they did have was good. The waitress was sweet.
Party of 16...great service, got drinks and food really quick!
I would go again. The only down side is the noise level is higher then I like.
service and food were great. got a little annoying and noisy when they began to play a trivia game in the bar and it carried over into the restaurant.
Great food. We were able to sit outside, so grand! Ducks were out so they entertained us.
Service continues to be excellent and food is always top notch. But wish you still had the jalapeno waffle with pork.
Seated 20 minutes after reservation. Food took almost an hour after we sat down. We had a 1 and 3 year old and kids meals were an hour as well. We won’t be back.
Our very attentive waitress, Liv, was a delight and made sure that our food was to our order and that our glasses were full. It was a fun-filled evening!
The atmosphere was very busy and very loud. Poor acoustics, we could not hear across the table to visit... However, our waitress was fantastic!
Great food, great place. Able to adapt quickly due to our change of plans. Able to work well with a getting Hangry 7yr old. Never disappoints.
Good food; good service; pleasant wait staff and manager
Amazing food. Great service and ambiance. Great price point. Only concern is floor was waxy / slippery!
Overall great experience. My wife, 5 kids and I all enjoyed our meal. Flatbreads were great appetizers. Wait staff was great with the kids, very helpful. Manager stopped by to check on our meals, really impressed with the staff. Real enjoyable family night out. Thank you.
Seated promptly, we had a reservation. Waitress was friendly. Food was great!
Excellent service and fantastic food! I love the variety.
Buffalo cauliflower and Spinach-Artichoke dip to start followed by Bison burgers, Sirloin, pork tacos, salmon salad and more. Excellent dinners, all.
Also sampled several of their local brews.
Would definitely recommend!
Had a reservation via OpenTable and was seated by main walkway and near storage door/ramp. Constant cleanup efforts and traffic, near misses with highchair and workers moving tables. Server, not ours, made several comment sin passing to our table that did not make the evening worth the price of food/beverages.
We made online reservations. We were early but got right in. Server was very nice and checked back often.
Great food, great variety for a relatively short menu. My maple bacon burger was cooked just right, very flavorful and juicy. The trivia game being played in the bar was a trifle loud at times. Overall though an excellent choice!
It was noisy because we were outside and they had a band. I asked for a flight of four of their beers. They brought me a flight and four additional samples. Wow!
Excellent service and fun atmosphere for kids
I took my boyfriend here for his 21st birthday, it was not a disappointment! Food was great, he had the flying monkey! Lots of specials!
Food was cold and cooked incorrectly. Prime Rib sandwich did not come with horseradish as noted in menu and had very little meat. Steak was over cooked.
Sandy provided excellent service.
Great food, extensive menu to choose from.
Seated immediately. Vivacious server. She said she would check back on the bottomless mimosas then bring a bottle, which she did, and carafs of all 3 juices. Offered to bring me a menu when the rest of the table went to the buffet. Delicious brunch although I was told the Mac and cheese was all Mac and no cheese. Haha no worries, there was plenty of great food , wonderful shrimp and medium rare prime rib. Birthday girl got a free warm chocolate chip cookie and happy birthday written on the serving plate. We did not feel rushed. we lingered with conversation and laughter. Love Granite City!
Great food and atmosphere. Also, they didn't give me a hard time for not realizing my phone time hadn't changed over from mountain time, and I was an hour late for my reservation.
Very good food and excellent service. It is very loud in there though...was hard to hold a conversation. But overall, an excellent dining experience.
We have been here seventy times and we had the worst service. Drinks were forgotten. Not attentive. It was not busy so not an excuse. Food was fair nothing fabulous.
We had reservations at 5. Told they were under staff we would have to wait 10-15 min for 2 people. My issue is when a party of 8 who didn’t have a reservation comes and gets told wait will be 20-25 min and they instantly got seated is what Made me upset.
We went out with friends to celebrate an engagement, and was met with a friendly hostess and waitress! Our food was delicious, and service was amazing. Definitely would recommend for date nights!
Granite City has a great brunch for when relatives come from out of town.
The Sunday brunch has quite a few options- build your own egg sandwich/omlette/Benedict, prime rib, sweets, pasta, salad, fresh fruit , something for everyone. I recommend a reservation though as they are super busy. Our server was attentive and checked in with us often.
We had a larger group and split us into two tables. We had a great waitress to start off with and worked out a system for each of the families that would make it easy for splitting the bill. She was on top of things but said she was going to have someone help her out because she was busy. Not only did her “help” decide that the system in place was not going to work, he decided to do a ticket for each individual and would group the checks by family at the end. Needless to say, bills were completely wrong and it took over an hour to get our bills corrected. Never an apology from him and management had to step in to take it over. And to make it better- a 20% gratuity was added in - Horrible experience that would make me never return. Too bad because the first server was awesome and was basically booted out of her tables by this arrogant guy who had do his way.
Quick to be seated, attentive server, great food!
It was very upsetting to go to Granite City and treat our family (3 young adults, my husband and me). We had reservations for 5 at 6:15 Saturday night and was seated right away. We waited 10-12 minutes before our server recognized us, which would've been ok if things didn't go south from there on out. Three of our party had a cocktail. We were never asked throughout our dinner or thereafter if we wanted another drink. In fact, another staffer was going around asking if she could have our cocktail drink glasses. Obviously, short on those, which would explain why we weren't asked if we wanted another. Four out of five of us ordered burgers. Mine, a bison burger. We all ordered them medium well and were all different levels of pink. One out of the 4 was perfect. Mine, the worst, was still mooing. Also, my husband and I ordered gluten-free buns, which were so dried out, they absolutely fell apart. I tried my hardest to eat some but was nearly gagging and couldn't do it anymore. Explained to waitress who found a manager. He apologized and I then just asked for a wedge salad as was turned off by the burger. It did come in a timely fashion. I would think an eating establishment such as GC could've really comped a $6.00 salad, but apparently not. It's not often we treat our family to a nice dinner out, and I was really hoping that things would've been more enjoyable that night.
Food wasn't that great and lot of empty space on the large plates.
Have eaten at other Granite City locations before, but not this one. We likes the Cuban sandwich, the taco flatbread was piled high and great, the maple bacon flatbread was good, salmon was good. Wanted a Caesar drink but the only had a Bloody Mary, something was not quite right with it and our server replaced it with wine and took it off the bill.
Overall great experience and everyone was happy. Especially by using open table, people were waiting out door, and we arrived about 10 minutes early and they sat us immediately.
My wife and I have tried Granite City several times, however, the food here STINKS. The beer may be great, but the food is horrible.
