Food was cold and cooked incorrectly. Prime Rib sandwich did not come with horseradish as noted in menu and had very little meat. Steak was over cooked.
Sandy provided excellent service.
Great food, extensive menu to choose from.
Seated immediately. Vivacious server. She said she would check back on the bottomless mimosas then bring a bottle, which she did, and carafs of all 3 juices. Offered to bring me a menu when the rest of the table went to the buffet. Delicious brunch although I was told the Mac and cheese was all Mac and no cheese. Haha no worries, there was plenty of great food , wonderful shrimp and medium rare prime rib. Birthday girl got a free warm chocolate chip cookie and happy birthday written on the serving plate. We did not feel rushed. we lingered with conversation and laughter. Love Granite City!
Great food and atmosphere. Also, they didn't give me a hard time for not realizing my phone time hadn't changed over from mountain time, and I was an hour late for my reservation.
Very good food and excellent service. It is very loud in there though...was hard to hold a conversation. But overall, an excellent dining experience.
We have been here seventy times and we had the worst service. Drinks were forgotten. Not attentive. It was not busy so not an excuse. Food was fair nothing fabulous.
We had reservations at 5. Told they were under staff we would have to wait 10-15 min for 2 people. My issue is when a party of 8 who didn’t have a reservation comes and gets told wait will be 20-25 min and they instantly got seated is what Made me upset.
We went out with friends to celebrate an engagement, and was met with a friendly hostess and waitress! Our food was delicious, and service was amazing. Definitely would recommend for date nights!
Granite City has a great brunch for when relatives come from out of town.
The Sunday brunch has quite a few options- build your own egg sandwich/omlette/Benedict, prime rib, sweets, pasta, salad, fresh fruit , something for everyone. I recommend a reservation though as they are super busy. Our server was attentive and checked in with us often.
We had a larger group and split us into two tables. We had a great waitress to start off with and worked out a system for each of the families that would make it easy for splitting the bill. She was on top of things but said she was going to have someone help her out because she was busy. Not only did her “help” decide that the system in place was not going to work, he decided to do a ticket for each individual and would group the checks by family at the end. Needless to say, bills were completely wrong and it took over an hour to get our bills corrected. Never an apology from him and management had to step in to take it over. And to make it better- a 20% gratuity was added in - Horrible experience that would make me never return. Too bad because the first server was awesome and was basically booted out of her tables by this arrogant guy who had do his way.
Quick to be seated, attentive server, great food!
It was very upsetting to go to Granite City and treat our family (3 young adults, my husband and me). We had reservations for 5 at 6:15 Saturday night and was seated right away. We waited 10-12 minutes before our server recognized us, which would've been ok if things didn't go south from there on out. Three of our party had a cocktail. We were never asked throughout our dinner or thereafter if we wanted another drink. In fact, another staffer was going around asking if she could have our cocktail drink glasses. Obviously, short on those, which would explain why we weren't asked if we wanted another. Four out of five of us ordered burgers. Mine, a bison burger. We all ordered them medium well and were all different levels of pink. One out of the 4 was perfect. Mine, the worst, was still mooing. Also, my husband and I ordered gluten-free buns, which were so dried out, they absolutely fell apart. I tried my hardest to eat some but was nearly gagging and couldn't do it anymore. Explained to waitress who found a manager. He apologized and I then just asked for a wedge salad as was turned off by the burger. It did come in a timely fashion. I would think an eating establishment such as GC could've really comped a $6.00 salad, but apparently not. It's not often we treat our family to a nice dinner out, and I was really hoping that things would've been more enjoyable that night.
Food wasn't that great and lot of empty space on the large plates.
Have eaten at other Granite City locations before, but not this one. We likes the Cuban sandwich, the taco flatbread was piled high and great, the maple bacon flatbread was good, salmon was good. Wanted a Caesar drink but the only had a Bloody Mary, something was not quite right with it and our server replaced it with wine and took it off the bill.
Overall great experience and everyone was happy. Especially by using open table, people were waiting out door, and we arrived about 10 minutes early and they sat us immediately.
My wife and I have tried Granite City several times, however, the food here STINKS. The beer may be great, but the food is horrible.
Made an 11 o'clock reservation for the brunch. When we sat down the server told us the brunch line closed at 11. We ordered our food and we sat and watched everyone else go thru the brunch line for another hour while we ate. Looked like a nice meal from where we sat.
The music was too loud and inappropriate for the customers. I don’t feel Rap Music was very classy
Great selection of food. Especially love the Sunday Brunch.
Our server was outstanding, the food was excellent, but our table was far too close to the tables behind and in front of us. Getting up and down for a buffet was difficult. We had to ask the people next to us to move their bag so we could sit down, they were visibly annoyed.
We were seated by the kitchen and the sound of plates crashing every 2 minutes was annoying. Food was decent and beer was off tasting, tasted like an infected batch..Got Sick in the middle of the night so it left a bad taste.
The ids chicken bites were like shoe leather and the boneless wings were the same chicken bites with sauce and those were like shoe leather as well. Sonordered a plain cheese quesadilla and they brought us shoe leather chicken quesadilla. Will not be going back
The serve was very nice though
Excellent service and the food is amazing! We had flatbread and cocktails. Appropriate for all ages, great ambiance. Definitely think about making reservations if it's evening or you've a large party.
Great app and great restaurant!
Quick service and fresh food. Excellent brunch and mimosas
Get together with old friends. Made reservation but still had to wait. We has a half booth/half chairs which was a little inconvenient but ok. Drinks & food were good!
I loved that I could reserve a table online. We were seated right away upon arrival. Food was delicious, waitress was friendly and professional.
We arrived earlier than our reservation and were still able to be seated. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was made from scratch and delicious. We were a party of 10 and yet we didn’t have a long wait for our food. We had a wonderful time and can’t think of a thing that could have improved it. We will definitely be back!
The new brunch cut the salad options so there is very little for someone who isn’t a big meat and creamy pasta/hash brown person. The donut station is cool but $17.99 for a donut and some cantaloupe plus $5.99 for a small side Caesar isn’t a great deal. We also were seated a bit after our reservation. Overall Ruby Tuesday has a better brunch selection and a balance of healthy options with indulgences and is $5/plate cheaper. That will continue to be our go to brunch.
We LOVED your new menu! Best meal I've had in a long time and all my friends would agree. Austin was the BEST server which made the night that much better. Can't wait to come back!
Wonderful food and employees.
We had a great time! Waitress brought out birthday deserts for both birthdays in the group!
Great food and place to be. A place I always love to go to.
Good food, came quick. Very friendly staff, eager to please, couldn't apologize enough for the salad coming out with the meal instead of before.
Excellent place to eat. Staff was amazing and the food was excellent.
We love eating here! A definite go to place for a date night or family meal
I love the service and the salmon dish that I had with riced cauliflower was very good. I wouldn't think twice about having it again. We always enjoy sitting by the window to see the geese landing and taking off from the river. We have many restaurants in Sioux Falls, but Granite City is our all time favorite.
We went to Granite City for their Valentines dinner. The food was excellent, the service was amazing and the live music was such a pleasant surprise. A wonderful experience all the way around!
Went for Sunday brunch. Decent choices including their new doughnut station! Had a reservation for 11am and got sat at 11:15. The wait for people waking in was an hour. The prime rib is the main reason of choosing Granite City for brunch, but this time one of the two slabs of meat was way over cooked. And of course the one over done was the only one the guy was cutting from. Overall though it was good like always. Our waiter was on the ball for clearing plates and refilling drinks.
