Granite City Food & Brewery - Roseville Ratings and Reviews
Used a gift card. Our drinks were tasty, creative Old Fashioned, and Prairie Vixen beer. They brew on site. My burger was delish and huge. Fries were hot crispy and tasty. Hubby had meatloaf and enjoyed it. Great spot for dinner and movie with Roseville theater next door.
We have been to Granite City several times and never been disappointed but their Thanksgiving meal was the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in years. SLOW service, mediocre food, they were out of two menu items with no substitution, we left before dessert came because we had already been there an hour and a half, all that for $24.95 a person. The value was more like $9.95; I’ve had better food in the cafeteria at work. The chef and manager should be ashamed. Sorry Granite City, we wil not be back.
We were there for Thanksgiving, for some reason I thought it would be a buffet but instead it was served "family style" without any info as to whether or not we could get more helpings of specific foods. Everything we had was very good, but we could have used more stuffing, potatoes and gravy. Service was friendly but spotty. I ordered a meal to go and was seriously shorted on the potatoes and stuffing for that meal.
Granite City was very good as usual. Frequently dine here for a casual night out with friends or family. The noise level is often a bit much, but I always enjoy Granite City. Since I had a reservation, we were seated quite quickly and were able to get a booth, which helps with the noise level, as requested.
I was so glad they take reservations since we got there at 6:00 and there were about 20 other people waiting for a table! We were seated right away and had excellent service by Rachel and delicious food. The pulled pork nachos are fabulous for an app or as a whole meal!
Worst service I've every experienced. Waited an hour to get food and I could tell the waffle fries had been reheated. Our server never came back to check on us. After waiting 1/2 hour we asked another server to take our order. Then another 1/2 hour wait. single brat with fries was $12.00. This happened at 5:15 with many empty tables in our area.
Terrible service and good food.
Made a reservation for 8 people, two cancelled. ( couldn't change the time to get a smaller table online because all times remotely close to it were taken.) Got to the restaurant, told the wait staff that only 6 would be showing up. They were fine with it. They gave away my 8 person table to someone who didn't have a reservation. We waited another half hour to be seated. Then our waitress asked if we wanted any drinks. We ordered drinks. We sat there for another 45 minutes before we had to ASK for menus. Then another 10 minutes before she took our orders. One of my friends had to get her meal " to go" because by the time it was ready, she had to leave.( 1 HR and 15 minutes later) One of my other friends saw a waiter that she knew, who came to say hi, we asked why people were walking by with food- turns out there was a Sunday brunch going on! We could have all ordered the brunch and served ourselves instead of waiting over an hour and a half for food. So disappointing that we were not informed of that. :( Our food was delicious. So that made up for the crappy service... Then after waiting again, to get our bills, my friend asked for a box and the bill. About another 10 minutes later the waitress came back with all of our bills EXCEPT the friend who asked. She had to wait even longer for her bill and boxed food! I paid with cash- didn't get any change back. I wasn't going to wait any longer so she ended up getting a tip higher than what she deserved that's for sure. I think I would try this place out again, just for the brunch because the food was delicious. Just keep in mind you better have half a day set aside in case you get the bad server that we did.
We enjoyed the BroadAxe stout, it hit the spot on a cool rainy evening. Made reservations on OpenTable, got there a little early, waited a little, checked out the deserts & beers were seated right at our reservation time. Enjoyed the meatloaf (thick & large) & short ribs with horseradish potatoes, Tasty!! Nice friendly service
I have not dined at Granite City in a while. The overall quality of GC has declined. I specifically requested that my meat loaf meal be served hot rather than warm. It arrived barely lukewarm! The menu is dramatically limited in comparison to the past. I would not return again.
OMG Fabulous Experience. Had a get-together with friends and had such a great experience. Katie, our server, was fantastic and fun. She contributed greatly to a fantastic, and much needed, night out. Granite City may become our "monthly night out with the girls" go-to.
We went with a small group of 6, for an anniversary dinner. The food was fabulous, our wait staff met all of our needs, and even brought us a free cookie dessert on a platter which had "Happy Anniversary" hand written in caramel sauce. This was above our expectations. Good job! We'll be back.
Wait staff seemed sparse compared to size of the crowd. We had a lengthy wait to have our beverage orders taken. Another wait for food order to be taken. Lengthy wait for food to be served and server was fairly unavailable with check back with us only once. No refills were offered on beverages (water and iced tea).
One of our guests commented on how delicious the salmon was and the other stated that the 10 oz top sirloin was the best he had ever had. Chicken limone was very tasty. Burger was medium when medium rare was requested..
Appreciated the gluten free !menu. Portion size was perfect.
