Place is permanently closed. How could i make a reservation?! We had 6 people...
Pleasant evening and good food
It was a good thing that we had time. The wait to be recognized and first approached at our table was longer than necessary.
Salad never came until after main course. We did come when it seemed very busy but this was the first time it has happened to us.
We will return because, thankfully, this was not the norm.
We did like the new and improved menu.
The food was great, and we especially liked the Octoberfest menu. Waiter was knowledgeable about the beers.
My wife and I found the staff to be very attentive. The food and beverage options were great. Lots of choices.
Excellent customer service-cheerfully accommodated our family’s special dietary needs and made sure everything was just right. Lots of gluten and dairy-friendly options, lovely staff
We have enjoyed dinner here many times, but never for Sunday brunch. It was excellent! And very reasonably priced.
Love this restaurant but it’s been uncomfortably cold the last few times we were there. Our friends and we had our jackets on and were shivering during dinner. My feet were freezing by the time we finished...and we were sitting by the fireplace!
Perfect. Steak salad was amazing. Service was excellent.
Food was very good. Service possibly too fast in that our server kept leaving while we were still asking him questions. But he was very nice, just had a lot of tables to wait on. Overall I really liked the place: food, quality, service and ambiance was great.
Waiter was exceptional but food not so good
At first we were seated in a room that was really loud, but the host gladly repeated us.
It took a very long time for our server to come to the table (probably 10 min) but once they came the service was subsequently good.
Food was good, the prices have crept up a bit so the value isn't as good anymore.
Great experience tonight. To start, Alexis was our server and she was one of the best we’ve had in ages. Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
We had the beef tips appetizer, which I really liked, more so than my wife. I had the bedda cheddar burger, cooked perfectly and my wife had the shrimp fried rice, which sounds crazy, but was fantastic.
To top it off, they have blue eyed brunette back, which is my favorite beer.
Go for the food and a good kids selection. But hope that the hostess at the front is not the same one as when we visited - very disinterested and bordered on rude.
Thought we'd try it but never again. These people have no clue. First off, a "cheese curd" is actually odd-shaped blobs of cheese that ARE NOT SQUARE! It's not possible to make curds square since they are naturally formed during the cheese-making process. They should call them CHEESE CUBES or something! It's FALSE ADVERTISING! Secondly, the Corn Fritters were WAY TOO SALTY! Couldn't even eat the apps so we decided to just leave and not order dinner. Also, the waitress brought our drinks but never returned so we had to flag down another waitress to get our bill. BYE!
The new menu has truly raised the bar at this restaurant. Great new offerings!
New menu items that were very good. Efficient staff and fast service.
First time dining experience at Granite City Food & Brewery. Great atmosphere and quality food/presentation. The desserts, "Cookie as big as your head" and their layered chocolate cake are excellent choices. Will return in future with colleagues to enjoy a meal.
We have been here many times and it has been good. But Saturday night was terrible. We waited for our simple dinner while 4 tables around us got their meals. The food was terrible and when our bill arrived it was wrong.
The new menu is interesting - our tuna (rare) was delicious -
Jennifer, our server, is very special - as is Steve!
We asked four people at different times if the fans could be adjusted as the room was very cold. No one made the effort to even try.. For most of the evening we were the only ones in the room. The good part was my rare burger was well done and cheerfully replaced.
Food was just ok. Service was lacking.
Overall a disappointing experience.
First time here and to be honest, I was a little apprehensive after reading some not so stellar reviews on Yelp. However I was pleasantly surprised for the most part. I did have an issue with getting seated. The man up front placed us in the bar, and its real noisy. We were meting another couple and we do not like to shout. I went up and asked to be seated elsewhere, He told me there were no open tables. I went back to the table and the place was half empty. I then had to demand to be moved elsewhere. He was a Jerk. And from reading some of the reviews perhaps he is the problem. The rest of the evening was great. Our server, Sheryl, was absolutely outstanding. She was engaging, funny and attentive and she knows the menu front to back. She was also training another new server and I can see why she was tasked for that. Just wonderful.
The drinks and good came out in a timely manner. The food was really good. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Service was great, the host and the waitresses were very nice, but the place was kind of dirty and the food wasn’t good at all.
Big menu. Food was very good. I would recommend. gooooooooo
My son very much enjoyed the top your own doughnut station!
Went for brunch. There was a good variety and an omelet station for my husband and a donut station for my son 😊
Ahi tuna tostados were good, but left us wishing they had more substance. Wings and flatbreads had too much sauce and cheese (flatbread only). Server was very nice and helpful. Outdoor patio was great, but difficult for service being far from bar and kitchen.
Love the new menu. Enjoyed the Small Plates.
Wonderful experience. It was our first visit and our server Cheryl was excellent. You can really tell that she loves her job. We will be back 😉
nothing special here, food is overpriced... just like any other brewery/restaurant popping up... service was average
friendly staff and abundant choices (even custom made donuts!)---a great Sunday brunch at a great price-
The food and service were great. Our server Yoishe made it a very enjoyable dining experience.
Good food. Good Service.
When here for brunch and the food amazing.
We have been here many, many times. We came today to celebrate my birthday with my little granddaughters.
It was half price appetizers and flatbreads.
However, there was a very large private function going on.
We ordered the Asian shrimp and two flatbreads. It took much longer than usual to get our food and when we did it was barely warm.
The taco flatbread was scorched on top of it.
Normally, I would have sent it back, but with a 4 and 2 year old, you know you’re there for a limited time only.
I think this food had been prepared for the large party and they just gave it to us.
The server did give us a few coupons to try to make up for it, and it was not his fault.
So disappointing when one of your favorite places falls flat.
I really like this place as a bar/restaurant. The food is probably just OK, but the atmosphere is really nice, fun but laid back. The Happy Hour specials are a good deal. Lots of TVs for sporting events. The outside patio is nice. Landscaping makes it feel a bit secluded which is great. I had a steak which was OK. A little salty.
Cinnamon rolls on the table is inspired. Well done. Good food and reasonable price.
This brunch had a variety of wonderful selections, from the must try reggianno potatoes, the thick cut cooked to perfection bacon, outstanding scones and the top your own Donut Bar! to name a few. Why would you pass up the champagne bottle mimosa with 3/ choices of orange, pineapple or cranberry mixers? This is definitely a place to put on your list for Sunday Brunch. Enjoy~
We sat outside and it wonderful!!
