Very dissappointed with Thanksgiving meal, turkey I had was over roasted and dry, I did see another batch that wasnt as dry, but I already had my fill by then. The rest of the meal was ok, but not what I would expect for a nearly $40 a plate Thanksgiving meal.

This was our second Thanksgiving at Granite City. Pre-COVID they offered family style service and the food was fantastic and felt special for the Holiday. This year it was buffet and they had great selections. The food was just better when served family style. I'm guessing they had a larger staff pre-COVID, so maybe the family style days are over?? They had a great holiday drink selection!

Amazing buffet with lots of the usual Thanksgiving must haves. They mix in a few special selections and let you take dessert to go if you got too stuffed.

We visited Granite City based on a gift from a friend. We had to wait over 40 minutes to receive our simple order and were seemingly disregarded as guests. The manager on duty loudly complained to the table next to us about how “busy” they were, all while seemingly doing nothing but shmoozing with said table and people at/around the bar. The manager also didn’t seem to be doing anything to help her “struggling” servers while she continuously catered to those that were already served and taken care of. There was no table touch by management after the ridiculous ticket time (just butt kissing to who seemed like close friends eating on her dime), nor any genuine apology or courtesy given for the inconvenience. However, the food was pretty decent and if it weren’t for the slow and poor service, we would likely return. We’re grateful to have had a nice meal via the courtesy of a friend who wanted to spread some love. Unfortunately we won’t be back to this location, and wouldn’t recommend it to others. Thanks again to our friend for the gift.

We had a fantastic brunch. The prime rib was so tender, you could cut it with a fork. The kitchen really had it going on last Sunday. Our server was also great. We had a lovely family meal.

Our waitress was wonderful. Our spinach dip was cold and we got the bottom of the bag on chips and bread. Asked for more as it was basically crumbs and three very small pieces of bread. We waited a very long time for our Margarita flatbread, only to have it be so cold the cheese was hardening. We then waited again for a second flatbread which by that time we boxed up and took home. Very dissatisfied with the food, particularly since we came from Omaha specifically to eat at Granite City. Again, waitress was wonderful and extremely apologetic. She indicated the manager would be over and they never showed up. Won’t make the drive again.

There was a large table in the same room as us which is totally fine, except they got up to leave and then didn’t. Stood over us talking and at one point had their butts in our faces as we were trying to eat. Totally not the restaurants fault but kind of ruined our lunch.

Food was excellent, but slow coming out. Manager came out to the table next to us to let them know they were out of the meal she had ordered, even though it was only 6:30 p.m. This is very different from what we've experienced in the past, so maybe they were having an off night.

At our request, we were shown to a quieter section of the restaurant. It was very nice to be able to converse and hear our ladies without raising our voices or asking to have the conversation repeated. Of you don't ask, you don't get.

First visit did not disappoint. The Perfect Margarita was worth the price. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Brussel sprouts are delicious appetizers.

First glass of wine was from a bottle that had been opened for days--vinegar. Waitress hesitated to replace the drink after just two sips, but my dinner guest had an immediate drink replacement when a big, dark hair was attached to the lime in her cocktail. Eeew. Restaurant was about 30% capacity and calm night, but waitress seemed to want to get us in and out fast. Never clear the plate and bring the check until the last guest is done eating.

Server was on top of it....to a fault. she did take away appetizer plates too quickly. She was a little hyper working our section alone. Food was good. She kept filling kids drinks without asking parents. It was pop. Calmer service would have been a better experience.

Our waitress was trying, but it took forever to get our food. I would recommend Granite City to a friend, but I'd need to tell them our food took a long time to get and it is expensive.

Food was good but unfortunately our waitress was very slow in getting us our drinks. Didn’t receive drunks until our food arrived. And that was too long too Food was good. The kids really enjoyed their food also
