Granite City Food & Brewery - Lincoln
Always good food and friendly staff. A little expensive, a little noisy at times, but we love it!
My husband and I had a fantastic experience at the Sunday buffet at Granite City. The server was attentive and the food quality was good. Will definitely come again.
This was the first place I reserved through Open Table that actually read the fine print and asked who had the allergies. I was shocked. In the end they goofed my order and had to redo as GF. I was offered a free GF desert but I turned it down. My husbands order was wrong also. He got a full rack of ribs-we were charged for the half rack he ordered. They did acknowledge birthday wishes to us as we came in.
Always a great place to go. Great food and service!
The beer is always very good but the food is disappointing. I really do not like the food plus it is too expensive.
Loved the new lite menu!! Cauliflower rice was awesome!!
Used to love Granite City - not so much now. The food and service isn’t what it used to be. It’s a shame too, because we used to really enjoy it.
The only comment is that the girl resetting the table behind us was just throwing the plates and silverware at the place settings. Very distracting for a few seconds!! Not a big issue.
Best Sunday Brunch in Lincoln! Many food items to choose from for everyone!
This was my first time at Granite City in its new building. The space was much more conducive to conversation. One of the things we noticed was that there was nothing green on the buffet - no salad, no vegetables. I guess most people don't go to a buffet to eat healthy, but it's nice to have a healthy option available.
It was busy, but our server CC was great, she kept checking on us, but gave us time to converse and she has been wonderful everyone we've come in!
Was on the wait list and then was seated at a table shortly after we got there. Never was given the 100 points for going through Open Table. That was the reason we picked that redo, too!
We came to Lincoln on Easter Sunday to take our son (a freshman at UNL) out for dinner. The wait staff, in particular our waitress, were all so friendly and welcoming. Our server (I wish I could remember her name) mentioned she has worked for Granite City for 7 years and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant, and knew the menu extremely well. The food was delicious and we will definitely visit again soon. Thank you!
The tables we were sat at were very close together. You should consider taking at least one table away. This is in the area where the Sunday brunch buffet is usually at. Normal sized people can barely sit comfortably due to the lack of space between tables. The only other complaint I have was that two of us ordered soups with our entrees. They both came out at the same time. It would’ve been nice to get the soup before the entree came out. The waitress was great. She said she had only been there 4 days, but I never would’ve known. The food and drinks were great as usual.
Brunch was great! Love the changes to the menu options.
It took over a half hour to get our food. The restaurant was slowing down and not very busy at this time. We had a server that started out helpful and then later had a second one assisting her. Service became worse when they teamed up because despite how many times they passed by us, would not check on us, clear our plates, offer water or refills and we ended up stacking our own plates and our uneaten extra food on the ledge behind us as we waited for our dessert , which also took another half hour. We were offered dessert because the manager stopped by and knew that it had been an excessive amount of time since our food arrived and offered us all a free dessert. We would have turned it down if we had known that freezer it would also take the extra half-hour. With our meal we had ordered a wedge salad that was 8 to $9. It came out the size of a large palm. My husband sent it back and the manager agreed that that was not the correct size. He joked that it was probably a side salad but if you look at the menu it only comes in one size . Fortunately we were not charged for the salad but we were however charged for everything else in which he was excited about giving us a 20% discount. That only took $6 off of our bill and did not include any discount on the two beers my spouse had. Because it had become and over two hour event they decided to shut down one side of the restaurant, stack all the chairs and rearrange tables the next day's Buffet. We arrived at 7:40 and left after 10 pm. This was a Saturday night in the restaurant was not closed yet.
The cheese on my oldest child's cheeseburger was not melted and it was barely melted on the grilled cheese my youngest ordered. She requested waffle fries and you could tell she received the bottom of the Barrel in which they were cold and contain several little scrap pieces.
our waitress, Nicole, was very knowledgeable re the menu
and attentive. did a good job
We were passing through Lincoln. When traveling we like to stop at brew pubs and taprooms as they usually have great beer and good food and provide good value. Granite City Food and Brewery rewarded that philosophy. We had a very friendly, knowledgeable server who steered us to some great brews and beer combinations with their beer flights. Food was very good, but like so many places these days, they were too generous in their use of salt - especially on their fries. But when next in Lincoln, we will stop in again.
It was a Friday night and I know that places that are well known can be crazy and busy. The food wasn't great and the server seemed to be so busy that she wasn't friendly, but mostly stressed trying to get people's orders. Maybe on another day it would have been better.
Great place to go with friends or just as a couple.
Everything was good! No complaints. I got a shrimp scampi pasta that was delicious. My husband and daughter both got burgers. And my son and his girlfriend got mahi tacos. Everything was eaten without complaint. Ended up costing about 20 per person. Everyone that was drinking age also got a beer. It is a nice place to go when you want a sit down and a variety of food.
Overall great visit, our server did an awesome job. Food was really good even though it had sat under the heat lamp longer then it should (a guest can tell when their food has been sitting, it starts to form a shiny glaze). Hostesses on the other hand were not friendly at all. Thankfully the the encounter with them is brief. They need to be made aware that they are the first impression of the business - they appeared put off doing their job.
Ashley was amazing. She was proactive and responsive to our needs. Drinks were good and happy hour specials were reasonable. We had a few upset stomachs from food the next day, but could not pinpoint any specific food that caused problems.
We always enjoy any outing at our local Granite City. The staff is top notch and makes every attempt to get to know there patrons. Only disappoint in the brunch was the lack of cold salads.
The food was fantastic. I had the bison burger. I thought it was really cool that their menu said no straws unless asked for but the waitress brought us straws anyways and I wish she hadn’t.
We went to Lincoln early February and when we went back this past weekend, we chose to go there again instead of try a new restaurant due to the quality of the service, the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant and most importantly the food. Highly recommend their brunch on Sunday.
Food and Service was excellent. Devin was great ,he took the time to converse at the table.
Good food. Good time.
The food is over priced and not done to order. My husbands burger was medium when he asked for it well done. The fish tacos were not as good because the fish was way over cooked. The bun on my prime rib sandwich was completely soggy. We had pork nachos as an appetizer. We needed a microscope to find the toppings. It was ridiculous!
Great food, service and price point! Really enjoyed the restaurant.
Love the new Lite menu items! Always great service in the bar area.
Granite City was great for a Valentine’s Day dinner with my love! We had a great time and the manager even came and talked to us! The only thing that wasn’t 100% was that my food specifically was a wee bit salty but I had a Bennie that evened everything out!

Sandwich and mashed potatoes were served cold. Coffee refills were cold.
nice place, good food, good drink and good service. This is my favorite place to go.
Didn’t like the seasoning in the batter for the fish and chips. Food was meh
Really enjoyed ourselves. Food, the service, everything was great! Love the atmosphere.
Great food, great atmosphere. Went for our granddaughters birthday, and the took reservations. Table was ready at the time promised.
Great food, good lunch menus & price, great service. It was nice to have a large table for our big group.
We love your establishment & will be back again.
