Took a friend to eat there, hoping it would be a treat. We had sandwiches, they were good, service was outstanding, but it was like eating at Chili’s or TGIF. I was disappointed as I had believed it would’ve been more upscale. Nope
It was my first time eating there and we had brunch and it was wonderful I will go back.
Great after work dinner with colleague; great menu choices as well beer selections for the discerning taste.
Server was great!! Food excellent. Will return for great value.
They were insects flying around at my table and my odor was not complete... terrible service!
Great brunch! Will return! Especially loved the scones and omelette station. Buffet line gets long, so allow plenty of time.
Great place for an afternoon bit & beer!! Service is always friendly!
There seemed to be a problem with tiny flies … maybe fruit flies. Were buzzing around us the whole time while we were there.
Great food and staff. The staff was very friendly, food came quickly and was delicious
I had been to Granite City many times pre-pandemic and loved it. The food was always great and the restaurant clean. This was my first time back since they started doing Sunday brunch again.
Double D. Disappointing and Disgusting. We arrived at 11:45 for a 12:00 reservation. Didn’t get seated until 12:30. No big deal because it was busy.
We went to the buffet and found many of the main items empty. The line was long so I went and ordered an omelet thinking the food on the buffet would be refilled and I would have an omelet waiting for me. NO. I finally got through the buffet line with only a few of the things I wanted just to find that my omelet hadn’t even been started. The guy at the omelet/prime rib station was overwhelmed with too many orders and no help. Speaking of the prime rib. What was there was overdone fatty pieces. When they finally brought fresh prime rib, it was a ¼ piece that was overcooked.
Items on the buffet were not replaced when they ran out. I was told by the person responsible for refilling items that they were out of most items. (This was before 1:00pm when the buffet went until 2:00pm)
The omelet/prime rib station was disgusting. It looked like the guy working it just left everything he spilled/dropped laying where it fell.
The buffet itself was filthy. It didn’t appear that any of the food dropped around the food dishes and on the floor had been cleaned up all day.
Overall, a disappointing experience that I will not repeat.
Enjoyed the brunch at Granite City. The food was very good and I particularly enjoyed the cold shrimp cocktail, prime rib and the sweet cinnamon rolls that our server brought us. Our server Mitch was very professional and attentive. We will be back to enjoy what Granite City has to offer.
We love eating at Granite City. Last night, the beer was not too cold - as something was wrong with the cooler. But the food was great as always! Our server was not very attentive either - which is very unusual. We asked her for a couple of things (lemons and a new coke because it didn't have much of the syrup in it) and she never brought them.
We eat here quite often and always have a good time and great meal
The buffet is very basic and not worth the $20 half the food is cold and it was no different than a hotel breakfast set up.
We did the Sunday Brunch! Great friendly service and good food!
My friends and I met for brunch, not realizing that ONLY the buffet was available but it was fine. Good food overall and service was good. My biggest complaint was when a manager-ish person came over to basically say that reservations were limited to 90 minutes which we were ok with, but then he proceeded to say “you’ve been here for a little over 2 hours” which just felt rude. We were a party of 8, visiting with an out of town friend, so 2 hours isn’t that long considering everyone had to get their plates, eat etc. Managers should learn etiquette if they are going to speak to customers- it was over the top to remind us how long we’d been there like we weren’t paying customers. Not heading back anytime soon for sure.
Very good. I have eaten here a few times and I've never been disappointed. Ribeye is significantly overpriced given what you get, but it was cooked the way I ordered it and I enjoyed it. They are also a little skimpy on the salad dressings and the dipping sauces for wings, so be prepared to order extra. The menus were sticky, which was unpleasant. Our waitress was attentive and cheerful, and we would love to go back and have her be our server again.
We frequent Granite City for Brunch, and its always good!! i love the prime rib station
Air conditioning was too cold. Table finish had been worn off, leaving tables feeling sticky and dirty.
My experience was very good with a bar table. The food was very good and the staff very attentive to my drink refills and my requests. I will be returning with friends next time.
Very courteous staff and no issues with Sunday Brunch Buffet
Good food and good service. The floor was a bit sticky under our table as if something had spilled and wasn’t cleaned up all the way. Our waitress seemed a bit confused about one of our drink orders, but other than that did a great job. A lot of variety to choose from and service was quick.
I will go back again.
We eat here quite often and never get tired of the great selection of food.
Mothers days brunch with infinite mimosas was a hit. Our server was absolutely amazing. Each time I come here, I wonder why I don’t come more often.
Excellent service and excellent food and the beer wasn’t too bad either!
The service was wonderful and our food was outstanding. It was a fantastic experience.
We attended Mother's Day Brunch Buffet. I liked they fixed our plates vs us doing it ourselves. It made the line go faster, less food waste and was a greater protection from Covid. They should keep that after the pandemic is deemed over. I always wanted to attend their Sunday buffet and was not disappointed.
The price for brunch was listed on their website as 18.99/adult and 6.99/kids. It even had this price listed on their wall at the restaurant. When we paid, they charged 28.99/adults and 8.99/kids. They did not advertise anywhere that the price was more because it was Mother’s Day. Some of the food was cold as well. We spent $180 on brunch. 100% not worth the price. And false advertisement at that.
Great brunch for Mother's Day. Great food and the service moved at a good pace.
We had a terrible brunch experience. The food selection was minimal and brunch was overpriced for the options provided. The restaurant was extremely noisy as the buffet line went right through the restaurant's center. Service was okay, but the waitress often rushed off before giving us a chance to answer her questions or ask for simple things like salt and pepper.
Great place to take date for Friday night; great beer selections with regular new seasonal choices. Food menu is broad and will satisfy any picky eater.
The brunch was really nice, and even more impressive was the staff. Very accommodating and provided great customer service. They’re covid protocol was great. They should be the model for other restaurants.
Great beer perfect for meeting with a company colleague and having a business meeting
Amazing food, friendly fast service. Perfect dining experience.
When I made my reservation, it said my table is limited to 2 hrs. Res was for 1045, didn't get sat till 1105, was told at 1210 we had to tab out b/c table time was limited to 1.5 hours. My complaint was the time I reserved my table for was 2 hrs, and that my party and I didn't even get sat till 1105, so I should not have been told I had to leave at 1215. We did not wind up leaving until 105, but it's the way the situation was handled. When I told the server I'd speak to the general manager about the situation, she responded with, well he's not here.....my point is if I'm going to speak to the general manager about the situation, you should offer me their card, and not give a snyde remark.
Delicious food and love the $3 house seltzer’s on Thursday’s. Perfect place for a girls night.
