Our server, Mitch, was fabulous! Very thoughtful service and food was delicious.
Always great food and great service at this GC location
We had a good experience. The food was very good. There is not a dedicated gluten-free menu and navigating food choices was a little difficult. This of course happened during Covid-19 reopening and may not be indicative of the normal experience:)
Everything was delicious except the apple pie. I got the pie to go and it was a little undercooked. The crust was doughy and the apples tasted raw still, but loved my dinner.
We had five people and everyone was VERY happy with their food.service was great. Thank you!
We eat here quite often always have a great meal with quality Staff
Food was wonderful. Enjoyed that it is not too crowded when we went 3 pm. Service was good. Made sure everything was the way we wanted and came back several times to check on us.
Met with three friends. First time to a restaurant to dine in since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared. Decent food, wait staff were accommodating enough, table top was sticky, but mostly due to the surface being scrubbed hard I suspect, resulting in degradation of sealant, floor grout was bright white showing thorough cleaning. Was told that the full menu will soon return. Bun on chicken sandwich was tough/old. All staff wore masks and gloves and maintained respectful distances. None of the patrons wore masks. I think I’ll go back to ordering takeout/delivery, but overall this was a good experience considering the new normal...
Enjoyed the brunch as always! I know it’s a change in business to serve buffet-style to tables directly. We didn’t eat too much and there was a ton of wasted food. I’d like to see this model change somehow, or at least let the family take home the leftovers, especially if they don’t ask for extra food.
Thank you! We had a great first night out since early March and the shelter in place order. My husband’s steak was near perfection, and my salmon was great. Our growler with The Bennie was a wonderful take home treat.
Food was great drinks were great employees were very nice and prices were great to.
We were told they had a cotton candy station and my boys were really excited but the machine was broke
The service was outstanding! The kitchen missteps were headed off by our server who made the evening enjoyable.
We have always been very happy with Sunday brunch at Granite City, but this experience seemed... off. The lady and gentlemen working the "creation station" were not knowledgeable enough to be working on their own. The man didn't have enough working knowledge of how to best slice the prime rib to best showcase its flavor and as a result, some of the slices were fatty and not as flavorful as they could/should have been. The young lady making eggs benedict stated that the meat that she gave was Canadian bacon, but there's no way that it was. I'm fairly certain that it was turkey. In addition, there were several times that I went to the buffet and some of the chafing dishes were empty or the food inside was cold because there was so little left and the tops had been left open. The latter is certainly not the restaurant's fault, but replacing the food a little sooner or having a passing waitress close the tops would help with that. That being said, our waitress was wonderful. She was very personable and attentive. We had three completely different bloody Marys at our table and all were delicious. The food was very good, minus what I already talked about, and the variety is always top notch. The reggiano potatoes, the mac and cheese, and of course the cinnamon buns are absolute standouts and the bacon was cooked to perfection.
Our server did a nice job. Unfortunately, both of us thought our meals were quite mediocre. The tuna dish really had no flavor except a very strong green bean taste. I added soy sauce which made it okay. I remember it being much better the last time I ordered it. My husband's chicken and biscuits were also bland and the biscuits were not light & fluffy. It's disappointing to spend over $50 on a meal and not truly enjoy it.
Emily is fabulous as ever, food was great, salmon done perfectly
Everything was great!... except the food. At least the buffet for brunch. It was dry and just didn’t taste good at all. Even the donuts were a disappointment, and to be honest I don’t know how you can manage to mess up a donut. Oh well, you live and you learn.
Food was not stellar. Beer was great! Service was good. We were a large party (10) but server did a nice job keeping up with us.
Best ribeye I’ve ever had. Food was amazing and loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back again.
Exceptional food. Waiter was outstanding. Beer was decent. Only issue was the delay in being seated. Overall great experience.
I was very impressed with the food and the quality of the brews, as was my wife. She was underwhelmed with our server, but in her defense, she seemed to have quite a few tables to cover. Overall, I was more impressed than my spouse, and if you take an average between us, they earned a 4.5 stars. My wife had salmon and loved it. I thought it was excellent. I had steak that was prepared exactly as I asked and was heavenly. We sampled three of their brews and each was very good. I particularly liked the Whiskey Barrel Stout.
Went on Valentine’s Day with my fiancée, had made a reservation online and it only took about 10 minutes to get us seated. Server was nice and patient and the food was amazing! Would definitely return!
Everything was really good except the truffle fries. They missed the truffle oil part of the fries. They were literally fries with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on
Our group of 6 was given a round table with the extensions up which was a bit crowded for us. We should have asked for 2 tables to be pushed together. We enjoyed our food. I did not like the Italian flatbread I received, but I liked the other dishes my table mates had. We enjoyed taking advantage of your Happy Hour options. Several enjoyed the beer samplers.
We had brunch here for a friend’s birthday. The food was good and the service excellent. We’ll definitely be back!!
Our party of four, whose reservation vanished off of Open Table, had a fine time. We ate in the bar at a large booth. The bartender waited on us. Food was fairly quick and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Delicious hot food at a great price.
Great choice for families across generations and pallets.
French onion and clam chowder soups were very good. The flatbread was just ok.
Haley was delightful as always, remembered me from a month ago and that I'd be hurrying to catch hotel shuttle
Although the the bottomless brunch selections were slightly limited, all of the food was good. The ready to order omelette was a major hit for me. Also the bottomless mimosas at GCB are THE cheapest you can get anywhere in Kansas City. I spent less than $30 for a brunch buffet + bottomless mimosas. I’ll definitely be back.
It was a good experience having Thanksgiving dinner at Granite City. The staff did a really good job. The salad was very good, the pot roast was wonderful. They were out of Sweet Potatoes and I didn't care for the corn recipe. Also would have been nice to have enough pie for those who want seconds. The waitress said no seconds on pie.
Granite City team did a great job on Thanksgiving Day. Both food and service was excellent. The team members were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return!
A wonderful holiday meal! Delicious food and great service. The music was far too loud! And it was pretty pricey for just two people.
Great Sunday brunch with food stations including make your own donut and Eggs Benedict
Great place to watch sports & Friday night date night! Good craft beer selection made in house to beer connoisseurs. Would recommend!
Always great for lunch! Food is good and consistent service is friendly. Good place to take clients for lunch.
We had a great happy hour. There's a good variety of drinks and small plates available. We loved the risotto balls, salmon spread, and meatballs.
