Had an 11:15 reservation, didn't get seated until I questioned the host, I was told I was still 2nd in line, next thing I know they took us to be seated at 11:34, so I'm not sure who we jumped in front of. The manager did apologize and take responsibility for our delay so I found that to be great.
Our server did not inform us of any of the covid processes to follow. We got to the food line, had to read the signs, then return to our tables as we had forgotten our masks. The only food that was cooked to our preference was the omlet.
All other food either seemed to be under or overcooked to include the carmel rolls, which are usually our favorite. Including the drink and tip, this meal was not worth the money we paid.
The food was good (Chinese chicken salad), chicken tortilla soup, fries, brussel sprouts, wings were all good. Our order was goofed a little, but I think they are still recovering from being busier as the Covid restrictions ease up.
Usually we love Granite City, but not on this visit. When I reserved lunch for 2:30pm it was not made clear that only the Mother's Day brunch was available. The food was OK, but standing in line for limited choices was not what we had in mind.
We had such a great time at the Mother’s Day Brunch! The food options were awesome, and the mimosas were great! Our server was so kind and polite, he really made the experience for us
Went for their buffet. It was too expensive for what you got.
Mother’s Day Brunch was absolutely wonderful!!!!! From the food to the mimosas! Everything was delicious! No complaints!! Oh and great service as well!!!!!
The food is always delicious!! Mother’s DayEvery year!!
Great food, great variety in a brunch buffet. We didn’t get a lot of direction with how the buffet worked but the servers were helpful and nice. Wait staff was slow but very nice. Overall a great experience.
Restrictions due to COVID ruined the great brunch they used to have. Had to order my 'made to order' omelet through the waitress and had to ask for it 3 times. Manager came over to apologize and said he would take something off the menu but then never did. Food selection was nothing like it used to be.
Amazing service, good food and great drinks! Will definitely brunch here again
We have been here in Omaha and KC before and had really great experiences. We went through 3 servers that were being “cut”; slow service; our pretzels were dropped in the booth and they brought us “a new one” not a new order; they didn’t know what beers they served; and the tables were super gross but the servers swore that it was because of the sanitization process and Covid. Just overall, not good.
Great food great service!!
As usual, great food & service. When I made reservations, I asked for a table in a quiet area (due to hearing impairment). Again, this request was honored. Always a delicious, fun evening at Granite City!
Great food and wait staff!
The Saturday and Sunday brunches can't be beat! Prime rib and shrimp cocktail...what else could you want for a Sunday brunch. Eggs! All kinds and sammies. Enjoy
The restaurant was clean. The people were friendly. The server was friendly but wasn't real helpful. The food had a lot to be desired. I ordered the prime rib and it took for ever. Finally came after I had finished my buffet food. Wasn't that great.
We went to the Sunday buffet. The set up was safe and efficient. Service was excellent, and you can't beat their prime rib!
Easter Brunch was nice. The majority of our food was not at a temperature expected. Usually eggs Benedict normally comes at a warm or hot temperature and ours came so cool the Holland side was gelled. Sausage links were refrigerator cold in the center. The server was wonderful! She was so attentive despite running everywhere trying to serve her clients.
Buffet was not good. That was all they were doing for Easter.
I love their brunches. I would like to see more variety in breakfast beverages.
Granite City lawless brunch on Sundays is absolutely the best. We eat there every time we are in town!
My date was a bore, so the meal was just ordinary... probably had nothing to do with the place! 😂
First off, the server we had was to impatient as we ordered.
And then we she brought us the ‘not-so good’ cinnamon rolls, she scraped her shirt on top of our food and drinks.
If we didn’t have to wait for 15 minutes to get our, again...’not-so prime’ prime rib and eggs Benedict, we would have had them remade.
But at least we had 4 $3/off coupons to use.
Not sure we will eat here ever again.
Used to be a place our family liked going too.
Manager fixed the allergy issue with the food in a very timely manner.
When I sent an email to get reservations, I requested a table in a quiet area. Upon arrival we were given a choice of 2 & told that if the table we selected wasn't quiet enough we could change. I really appreciate the fact that our concern was taken seriously. As usual, the food & service were both outstanding!
My mother-in-law is a very demanding person for lack of better words. Our server and other staff that helped us were phenomenal at making sure her high expectations were met. Thank you all for providing us, and especially her with an outstanding dining experience!!
First time I had ever been to Granite City for Brunch. It was really good. Our server was awesome and so was the staff.
We were there on a slow night so it might not be as quiet on a busy night. I was very pleasantly surprised by the buffalo shrimp appetizer. Much larger shrimp than at other places and had a great blue cheese sauce with a nice kick to the buffalo sauce.
Arrived for brunch. Seated immediately. Table was dirty/sticky. Waited 10 minutes for a server, several passed by but never stopped. My brunch date was complaining about the service and process of the brunch line and pre-ordering items certain items from the server. It was too much for me so we left without eating. Disappointing.
Great food and local craft beer. Their Wicked IPA is the best!
The food was burnt. I told our waitress and she did nothing. The restaurant was playing awful music that was very loud. I will never return and will tell everyone
Birthday wait staff was great thanks Sophi
Greeted immediately upon entering, taken straight to our reserved table by the tv as requested in my reservation request. Food and service was amazing. The prime rib was great!!
Wonderful time here . Will definitely be returning!
Got stuck in a corner booth, no visible TVs, felt dark and cramped. Felt rushed to eat, waiter checked in us every 3 minutes, hard to have a conversation. Food portions noticeably smaller.
It had been awhile since I was able to get out and enjoy a meal at GC. I always enjoy the Lawless Brunch. Even there were some changes the food was excellent!!
Got table right away and had a great waitress (Patty).
Food was great as well as the service. Especially during this crazy time.
Seated right on reservation time but in the bar.. I didn’t know bar tables were reservable but it seems they are. It took quite awhile for our server to arrive but it turned out ok because the menu had quite a variety of items. Our server turned out to be excellent though thru out the evening. Food was good even though the sides were less than hot. Prices were very good and parking great. Not quite five star night but no real issues either. We would return to try some other items on the menu.. the staff members were all practicing safety guidelines and tables were well spaced.
The Prime Rib sandwiches were outstanding and our server, Tommy, was terrific. His suggestions and personal recommendations were perfect. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Many thanks!
