Overall very good. Was a draft from the door and my wife’s meal was a bit cold.
We had dinner here on a snowy evening in February. The restaurant is located in the Legends Shopping Center across the street from Nebraska Furniture Mart. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express close by; so this restaurant was a good close choice due to the bad weather. The place was not crowded when we arrived, so we were seated immediately in a booth in the bar area. They do have a large dining area that is separate, but the bar area was fine with us. The place did fill up with customers over the next hour, which is a testament to its popularity (and location) given how bad the roads were. The have many microbrew choices and I tried The Hustle which was a relatively new creation and it was excellent. For an appetizer, we had the Onion Ring Tower (very good). My wife had the Crispy Shrimp Tacos and I had the Major Miso Chicken and Pork. Both were very good. We decided to take dessert back to the hotel for later and ordered the Salted Caramel Tart and Mini Berry Cheesecake to go. Both were very good. Our server (Jennifer) was very pleasant and helpful with menu choices. We would recommend Granite City for lunch or dinner if you are visiting NFM, Legends or the Speedway.
Food is expensive for the value, steak was over cooked,
But good overall.
Very courteous. Food was great. Zero wait time since we reserved online.
Tammy our server was funny, friendly and very attentive she was very busy, but always found time to stop and check on us
I like the omelet bar and my daughters enjoyed the donut bar. We all love the hash brown casserole and mashed potatoes. We did miss the salads they normally have. I thought the mimosas were very reasonably priced. We got there at 9am and they weren’t quite prepared though. We had to ask for serving utensils for certain stations.
We made a reservation for a large family gathering and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. We had three little ones and the selection on the children's menu made them very happy. The rest of the food was good except my husband did not care for his tacos. This is a favorite place for us to come with family.
I can get a better quantity and quality food for half the price elsewhere, and have. The place is cute, but the value isn’t.
One of my best time here lots of fun great beer super fun love the food
Our 0pen table was ready when we got there. The brunch was delicious.
This was the first time I had been to a GC for Sunday brunch. I had been to a different location for lunch and once for dinner and thought it was an okay experience - you know nothing to write home about. BUT - brunch? They have it figured out. The food was excellent with a great variety including an omelette bar, meat slicing stop and a donut station. They kept everything full, fresh and hot.
We walked in and were seating right away due to our Open Table reservation, which was fantastic! The food was delicious but the service was not great. Perhaps we had a new server. I would definitely go back again.
Enjoyed the special deals they had for the NFL playoffs.
Waiter was excellent, very helpful and friendly! Five stars!!!
We have been 2years for my daughter and nieces birthdays. I think it will be a tradition for their birthdays!
Spent a great time watching the chiefs game with friends and regulars. Nice bar area with great TV views. The staff is always ready to serve and food is delicious!!
I would have rated the food higher, however there were no vegetables among the food offered.
We love Granite City. The food, the staff, the proximity to work and home can't be beat. It is the place to unwind after a hard week. Meeting here with friends to relax and decompress is just what the doctor ordered. Couple that with fabulous servers like Alissa, Josh and others the night is TERRIFIC!
We went here to celebrate my 35th Birthday with my family and my parents. The menu was kid friendly and the food overall was excellent. Our waitress was always around and friendly. To top the night off she brought out a mini cake with a large candel. If we are back in the area again I plan on going back.
Over an hour wait after food was ordered to get our burgers, and our sweet potato fries were cold... :( 👎
The restaurant was running 40 mins behind on reservations. They were short staffed and took over an hour from the time we ordered to when we got our food. When the food arrived - it came out in two phases (so our group didn’t even get to eat together). The order was also incorrect. There wasn’t a manager in sight all night. It was a very poor experience.
We made reservations for New Years Eve. Had 7:15 pm reservations for 3. At 8:15 we were still sitting in the bar waiting to be called. Lots of angry patrons waiting over 1 1/5 hrs. People with kids. Its seemed to not be staffed for the night. Lots of empty tables when we finally got served.
No sign of Mgmt. No apologies other than from the 20 year old server. Will think very hard before returning.
first time visit was an experience. We had reservation new years eve and got there had to wait in the lobby 20 minutes then after being set at our table took another 30 minutes before we placed our order. Then it took another 30 minutes to get our food. It probably would have been longer, but I told the waitress I was a diabetic and needed to eat. Took her 10 minutes after that to bring out our food. we were there 7-9 pm. NOT GOOD
NYE with friends
Waited over 30 minutes to receive our drinks and almost 2 hours to receive our food.
They were understaffed for New Year's Eve and our meal took two and a half hours to be served. They kept seating people, and people eventually got up and left without food. So sad! Hope they become better managed and get staff. I felt sorry for our server who tried her best.
This pains me a little as this has been one of our reliable favorites for years. This New Year's Eve dinner was a fiasco. Made reservations and still waited an hour to get seated and we were not alone in this experience. Long wait for entree and even longer for desert. Our server was working herself to death. It was obvious the place was not prepared - too few in the kitchen and too few servers. The manager was not ready for the night and it showed. Lots of angry people.
We had dinner at Granite City on New Years Eve. Service was very slow, and our server was sullen and cranky. He obviously didn't want to be at work that night. We ordered off the special New Years Eve dinner menu, and it took over 2 hours for a simple dinner.
When our server brought our check it was over $12 more than it should have been. I questioned it and he immediately blamed some mysterious 'she' that rang it up for him, but after checking into the problem he suddenly changed his story and admitted he rang it up wrong. We will return to this restaurant, but if seated in this servers section we will immediately ask to be moved and if that's not possible we will leave and go somewhere else.
Meal was very good.
Sunday brunch was an excellent experience. There was something for everyone. Food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend it!
Service was rather slow at the beginning, but got better. I ordered my burger medium well, and it came out very well done. Also bummed to find out they got rid of the skillet cookie dessert. Everything else was good.
Might want to think about getting rid of the awful donut bar and bring back the waffles.
The Sunday Brunch never disappoints, it's always delicious and reasonable. The variety of food, the quality, and the atmosphere make it one of our faves.
It’s a bit pricey for what you get, but it was delicious! And get their cookie it’s to die for!
Loved the gluten free menu options! It was very busy, our waitress was working hard to keep up.
Food and service very good
No silverware even after food there.
Flatbread seemed too dry
Food was good and we didn’t have cold air from overhead blowing on us. Nice quiet lunch with friends
I was glad I made a reservation on open table because they were on a wait when we arrived with a couple of little people in our group. Imagine my surprise when the lobby is full of people and at least 1/3 of the tables are empty, clean and set up. It appeared to us that they were controlling guest to the dining room because of staff shortages ? who knows why - but they do that in the Omaha restaurant as well ?So now I think it must be a company culture thing ? its troubling, it makes us think twice before selecting Granite City for dinner- who wants to sit in a cold lobby when tables are available. Too bad because the food and service were certainly good.
