   We had the Valentine’s special for two. The food was very good and portions were large. We ended up taking food home. The large cookie with ice cream was also delicious. Great service and great ambiance. We chose to sit in the bar area as we usually do.

    The restaurant was not adequately staffed. Our server was busy with a couple of large groups, which affected our service. We did get a discount because of the inconvenience, which was nice.

    I wish there was a way to order off menu for brunch. The brunch buffet doesn’t feel like a good value unless you are someone who overeats.

    We went for dinner and to celebrate my birthday and had outstanding food, drink and service. I have to say our server Ariel was amazing. The drink she suggested was the flying monkey, so tasty and refreshing. Then dinner, starting with the clam chowder soup, so creamy and yummy to the Chicken Tuscano entrée, so full of flavor, tender chicken, rice, tomatoes and my favorite fresh green beans! I'm not a big mashed potato gal so Ariel recommended the rice pilaf which did not disappoint. My husband and mom had the prime rib sandwich which they said was wonderful and my dad loved the all you can eat fish with coleslaw and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Everyone finished their meals with smiles on their faces. There was also a cookie dessert topped with ice cream for my birthday which was warm and gooey. A great way to end the dinner. Thank you Ariel for making my birthday a great event. It was crazy busy last night at the restaurant but you always had a smile on your face and a great attitude. I wish you always worked Friday nights but I'm glad that we were blessed with you last night. Thank you Granite City for a great evening! We will be back!

    We made reservations and were seated right on time. Our waitress was amazing and our food came quickly. My husband had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. I had the Chicken and asparagus linguini. It was fine. Not very flavorful. We will go back to try other things and because he liked it. 🙂

    Food was very good. Big problem that every course came at one time. Spinach/artichoke dip, salads, soup, entrees. All at one time. This isn't acceptable. For one thing, our table was way over-crowded. But most of all, we didn't really get to enjoy any of them. Said something to server but she didn't even respond. Very frustrating.

    Great service, delicious food! We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation and was able to be seated right away, even though there were others waiting. Made it to our concert right on time. I will definitely be back!

    We have dined here several times and choose to sit in the bar area. Great service, however, there has always been one obnoxious guest sitting at the bar each time. This is not Granite City’s fault, but it happens. The food has always been great and very consistent drinks. My wife and I clearly recommend!!!

    The store menu and the internet menus were not the same. We came with gluten free needs for one of our guests and had to scramble to confirm the gluten free items on the in store menu. I had the patty melt and fries. The fries were over done and patty melt was soggy. Average experience at best.

    We had a party of 6 adults. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The drinks were amazing. Our food came out hot and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed all the different flavors that were different from our everyday foods.

    Went to Granite City for Thanksgiving Dinner for the 5th straight year. This will likely be the last , however. The restaurant changed their service to Buffet style from sit down, wait-staff driven family- style, and everything has suffered. More noise, more confusion, and most notably, worse food. Yes, people do get to fill their own plates, and the buffet line moved quickly enough, but in all experience felt more like a mass pig-out at the hog trough, than a significant holiday meal. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I prefer my Thanksgiving gluttony laced with touches of dignity, solemnity, and reverence. Also, there were no sneeze guards at the buffet tables, so everyone was breathing openly into the serving dishes - not the best look in a year when people are still nervous about covid. Bring back several degrees of formality, and we might consider returning next year. Otherwise, not so much.

    Our reservation was for brunch…you get your food. But it took forever for the waitress to bring our non-alcoholic drinks. Put in machines and I’ll get that myself, too.

    The service was very slow. Our food took forever to come out. We had to get our servers attention numerous time for drinks, napkins, and to ask about our food. Once we received our food it was ok. It appeared that they were running low on fries due to our portion on our plates were very slim. Would not recommend go there to anyone.

    Very disappointing brunch experience. We were seated in the traffic flow between two buffet tables, which made our dining experience very un-private. Food was mediocre. Carved beef was flavorless. I would not recommend this brunch.
