Safe and clean. Proper precautions in place. Same great food and service as always.
Great brunch with social distancing in place!
One of our few times out since Covid hit. GC brewery did NOT disappoint. Our food and drinks were great!
The food was great. The mimosas were great. The service was great. I felt very safe and comfortable in the restaurant.
Scott is the best.
Always enjoy this place. Food is good and service is always great. Glad to see them taking the virus seriously and being extra careful with taking temps at the door and cleaning surfaces.
We always enjoy it there - especially in the bar.
Our server was fantastic! He was very kind and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Their everyday specials make this place a must! I will definitely be back!!
We will definitely go back. We loved the brunch! Our service left something major to be desired from our server, but the food was great and the rest of the staff was friendly and accommodating.
Food and service really good. Nice social distancing. First restaurant I have been to that is taking temps.
My family enjoyed a terrific dinner at Granite City Food & Brewery. They have a most extensive menu, with something for everyone. Every appetizer, entree and dessert was delicious. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable.
The food was good! They should tell you that you’re not allowed to service yourself instead of being rudely yelled at by a worker.
I love the social distancing implementation. Food was good & fresh. Please add some non-pork options for breakfast meats.
Sat at the bar hoping to get faster service as we were pressed for time (we alloted an hour). Despite having a reservation the table wasn't ready. Service was extremely slow even though there were very few people there. Had to ask for the check, then the bartender never came back to run my card. Despite standing up, putting on our jackets still not getting the hint. Finally asked the two bartenders huddled over the register and was told to wait a minute. Luckily I had cash to cover the food and tip. I even left an extra tip since there was obviously no one to make change. Working in the service industry, I don't blame the staff. This is just poor management. I won't be back.
Granite City Brewery has a great brunch! This was the first time I had brunch there as I usually visit for Happy Hour and dinner. I highly recommend for food quality and variety. Definitely going again.
The server had to continually be reminded to bring drinks and items asked for to the table. The vegetables were cold but all other food delicious. The hostess was rude upon seating. Even though we had a reservation we had to wait and so we asked to sit at the bar and was told no, then asked if we could order a drink and sit in the patio seating and she said no then offered us bar seating g which we asked for initially while we waited. Two drinks while waiting cost $30 plus tip which was more than our entrees combined. I would not have minded if the ice cubes did not immediately melt thus watering down the drink before I could get a first sip. Doubt I’ll go back.
Sign on the door says masks must be worn and they take your temperature at the door. But then they sat us at a both between two occupied booths. Our heads were about a foot from other guests heads. Mask compliance and enforcement with the restaurant were really bad. There was a large birthday party near us and they were not wearing masks when getting up to use the restroom or moving about the restaurant. Staff didn’t nothing to enforceable compliance. The staff member who delivered our food had his mask below his nose. We felt very unsafe. Worse than any other restaurant we’ve dined at since covid began.
i dont think they should place large parties by the buffet because while i was there it was a long line of people standing right behind people while they eat an with covid the six feet apart rule went out the window as well as finding a better way for lines at the buffet they said 5 people at a time which is really hard when literally everyone is waiting me an my boyfriend sat for 30 minutes every time we wanted to get up an go to the line it was hard
Great food and service! Would definitely recommend to anyone.
We were celebrating our daughter’s 24th birthday here. This was a Monday night, and there were only other three tables with diners. This was absolutely the worst service we’ve ever had a restaurant. The service, the waitress & the food was so slow, everything came out at a different time, everything was cold, no condiments, took a half hour to get a glass of wine, had to ask 3 times for water & napkins. This should have been an hour long meal, hour & half at the most, but we were there for 2 1/2 hours. I could go on, but I won’t.
I loved the food great social distancing great service
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. Your temperature is checked before you’re allowed to be seated. Must wear masks. They have servers that fixed your plate for brunch to ensure social distances & food not being handled by guest. Wonderful practices in place to limit exposure to COVID. We’ll be back sooner than later 😀
We had an enjoyable dinner here with good food and a fantastic server in Jacob.
Excellent food and service.
Our server Jordan was outstanding. Very kind and attentive, and well-versed on the menu. We ordered a meal to go after we finished dining in and accidentally left it on the table when we left. Luckily she ran it out to us before we left the parking lot. Food was very good and presentation was great.
The servers did a great job with the buffet line.
Great French onion soup
We love eating at GC, took two clients out this past friday for dinner, only real issue was servie was slow. We realize why this is happening but it came at a bad time with the clients we brought in. We will eat there again.
Very good food. Excellent service. Really appreciated their approach to safety in the COVID-19 era - temperature checks, masks and gloves
First--and probably last--time dining here. Went for Father's Day, so we were happy to get a reservation. Felt comfortable with the cleanliness and the social distancing guidelines the restaurant followed. Unfortunately the restaurant was quite understaffed--or the service was just horribly slow! We saw only a handful of other tables, and it took nearly 45 to get our food. When it arrived, most of it was cold. My daughter ordered the sirloin and it came covered in cracked black pepper which made it completely too spicy for her to eat ( had to cut all of the exterior surfaces off her steak so that she had something to eat). The only positive is that my son like the fish and chips, but he was the only one out of the four of us who enjoyed his meal. Overall, it wasn't the worst meal I've ever had, but the food was just "passable," and it certainly was not worth the price, nor worth a return trip.
Brought my husband and the kids in for Father’s Day brunch. This was our first visit to a public restaurant since March. They did a great job of social distancing everyone and having the buffet served to your table family style. We understand everyone is adjusting to doing things differently, however our only complaint was mimosas sat at the bar, bartender had to find us to bring to us, omelettes sat for 10 minutes and were cold when brought to us as well as the prime rib. Our server Jordan was really nice, but seemed to give way more attention to another table and rarely checked on us. We had to wait quite a while for refills. Overall experience was pretty good. The level of cleanliness was excellent and they require masks and temperature checks of guest and staff. Will return if they continue family style brunch.
The brunch was not worth the price paid. Good was cold, over cooked and simply not the experience I’ve had before. Service was extremely slow and we never received refills of water or on my bottomless mimosas. When discussed with Manager was just told that they’ve been told this lately and that they look forward to getting back to normal soon.
So happy to see them open again! The food was great, sanitation at high level, and the entire staff were sooo friendly. Plan to return often.
No one greeted us on arrival and there was some confusion for the two hostesses with walk-ins who were there before us, so we had a bit of a wait, but not horrible. They did a good job of seating everyone at least 6 ft apart. However, the menus were not disposable. Waitstaff wore masks and gloves and we just hoped they changed the gloves between customers but no way of knowing. Our waitress Taylor was excellent: attentive and kind. I had the grilled salmon, which was to die for. My husband had a roast beef sandwich, which he wolfed. No leftovers this visit. Price was comparable to other better dining places. I would definitely recommend GCF&B.
Food was great and the service was efficient and well organized
Great process for social distancing plus a temperature check, which was a first for me. Great service and the food was good as always! I am glad they are open!!
Great service and always consistent food and drink excellence.
The waitress was very nice and attentive.
Usually the food is great. This time just so-so. Maybe because we had a big group but everything came out luke warm. Not their usual standards.
