Signature GCFB beers are brewed onsite, including: the Batch 1000 Double IPA, the Bennie German Bock, the Broad Axe Oatmeal Stout, Duke Pale Ale, and the Prairie Vixen Hefeweizen, are complemented by a rotating selection of seasonal and specialty brews.
Corned beef on St Pat's was really awful
It was my son’s birthday and though many canceled on us. Christian our server was amazing!!! One suggestion I have is the kitchen staff needs to keep up with the buffers as much of the food ran out frequently.
I have taken many family and friends to Granite City Food. I have never had a bad experience. The food and service is always great and the restaurant is always clean and presentable.
The service was very slow; very short staffed. Many people were waiting and there were 9 open tables. The normally good beer was flat and the food was somewhat warm. It was so difficult to get a server, we got out own menus at the bar. We will not be returning.
Granite City Food and Brewery remains one of my favorite places to go to eat and drink. The menu is broad enough to offer something to almost everyone and I think the beer is great. I like the special occasions and promo's, it adds a little jazz to the daily humdrum. I've brought many friends and intend to continue doing that!
Pork tacos are very good!
We had a business lunch with clients and it took over an hour to receive our food which we had to eat really fast so we could get back to the office for a meeting with our CEO and our clients to rush to the airport to catch their flights. It turned a pleasant lunch into a very uncomfortable environment with everyone looking at their phones to track the time and wondering if we were even going to get to eat. It was disappointing and I am not sure I would book a lunch meeting here again if the kitchen cannot keep up with the orders and deliver them in a reasonable amount of time.
Had a problem from the very start. I had made a reservation at 6:15 at a high top table at the bar. When we got there, the receptionist told us that they didn't have any openings at the bar. Whats the use of having a
reservation if you can't hold a reservation (Seinfeld). Very bad practice of disappointing a customer who spent 170 dollars that night. Probably won't see this customer anymore or recommend this establishment to anyone else.
The registration went very well, as we have a man in a wheel chair, and they could help him right away.
The waitress we had was very good and very attentive to our needs.
The food and mimosas at brunch were great! My only complaint is that there were no vegetables. Aside from the items that can be added to omelets, no other veggies were there. I think corn or green beans or at least a variety of salads should be an option.
Great food and atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and polite.
Meal was good overall. Had an issue with the fish taco smelling like it was old. The server replaced quickly and without issue. Overall experience was fine.
Service was excellent, food delicious and ambience fun and high energy!
Came in town to visit my family we went to this restaurant twice during my visit and I always had a fantastic meal with wonderful service . we really enjoyed coming here ,you have a choice of many different options on the menu
Great place, always consistent good food and service
Nick was an amazing server I always appreciate him! Will be back
This place was ok. I’ve been to a lot of brunch places and this was at the bottom of my list. I went on a brunch Sunday and the service sucked. I had to sit all the way in the back and they had a party of like 30 come and sat them right in the middle so I had to turn side ways to pass all there chairs when walking back and forth. The food was okay. I could’ve had better and the brunch was not worth $17.99
We were seated on time. Noise level was ok. The only problem was they ran out of some foods...biscuits, carmel rolls, rice dish, and some dishes were cold and this was at noon.
Good food, great service from our wait staff Jessica!
Great food, great service! Love the “feel” of this place.
Great visit. Important to go early to avoid the loud bar area. But food great as is the service.
The salmon was over cooked, but everything else was good.
Immediate seating a plus. Hostess accommodated is with a booth instead of a table at my husband’s request Waitress was awesome and attentive my dinner was lukewarm as if it had been preplated as part of the Valentine’s Day menu. It was taken back and I was offered soup in the meantime. New food was hot. Desserts were good. A good Valentine’s Day dinner before the movie close by
Birthday dinner- took long time for our food and it was cold when we got it
Food and service was good! Love the desserts!
Awesome variety on menu. Great service
Our server was excellent and the food was delicious and plentiful.
Everything was great except the coffee
Not sure if it was a bad night but based on some reviews my story might be the norm. Made reservations for 6pm. Got there five minutes early and checked in and was told it would be a few minutes. At 10 after 6 I checked again and was told they forgot about us and can seat us now. Not a great start.
We got seated at a table full of crumbs on the table and the table and the seats. The person seating is took the menus and just brushed a few crumbs away and said there you go. We had to ask her to wipe it down and she did a poor job at that.
Our waitress came right over and she was sweating. Apparently there was a fraction of the staff working that Saturday night. She had a 25 to a 15 top and my 2 top. She took our order.
It then took 40 minutes to get a burger and a salmon plate. Way too long. The burger was ordered medium and came out more toward rare but we were not waiting another 40 minutes.
In the end I don't see the need to go back there. I could find no manager to speak with and the hostesses at the front could not have been older than 20 and didn't seem to care. One of them was the one brushing our crumbs off.
I don't blame the waitress I blame the management or running a poor restaurant and not recognizing when things are falling apart and communicating with the guests.
Finally they charged me $13.50 for a Jameson. The burger was only $12 and you can buy a bottle of Jameson for $19.
We eat at Granite City a lot--almost once a week. They have the best dry-rub chicken wings in St. Louis. I usually get the wings plus the great house salad--with extra house dressing. My husband loves the shrimp tacos. Great service--we always ask to be in Robert's station.
Things started off a little rocky with a longer wait than expected. But the staff, including the manager, more than made us feel better about any inconvenience. Have been here many times and usually the service and food are awesome.
Steaks are a bit pricey, but apparently good (someone else in my party ordered a ribeye). I ordered a gluten free flatbread and got very sick afterwards. I suspect the crust was NOT gluten free. I will not order that again.
From the time that we were seated until the time that we left was 90 minutes. We are a family of four, no appetizers, straightforward meals. My husband did not get the beer samples the server said she would bring for over 20 minutes and the beer he choose to order arrived 45 minutes after we sat down. Our food took almost an hour and I had to send mine back because it was not prepared correctly. The servers looked stressed and disorganized and the overall feel of the restaurant was chaos. The bathrooms were dirty as well. We will not be back to this location.
We go there almost every week. Beside the aforementioned pluses, we like the Mug Club and the coupons.
Awful experience. Service was horrible, had no flavor and forgot food. Manager was awful and needs to learn how to manage.
I’ve been to Granite City Food and Brewery in Creve Coeur many times for lunch and dinner and have had great service and great food every time. However our Sunday brunch experience was far from it. My sister and I went there this past Sunday. Waited 10 minutes for plates. He scrambled eggs were empty, took over 15 minutes for more to come out. Same with French toast. I decided to wait for eggs Benedict, they were out of Canadian bacon. All that was left of the prime rib was scraps. This was troublesome consoder8ng we were there at 11:30, which was only 30 minutes after brunch started. They were very busy but I’m sure they are every Sunday. Our server was very good though. And the manager did come to our table and ask what the problem was. I will continue to eat there for lunch or dinner but never again for Sunday brunch.
Food was outstanding The cook and servers must have been short staffed as it was a little helter skelter
on the ordering and the table service. Clean very full dining room the over all perception was very good!
Worst birthday experience ever. Food was alright. All of the house beers tasted dirty. Really a hard dive downhill and this was our last visit.
Everything was great, it was my second time and my husband's first time there. We didn't wait long, service and food was great.
