I wasn't really impressed with the food at the buffet this time
Connie - We are sorry to hear that. We always appreciate feedback, and hope you'll consider dining with us again in the future.
Our only issue was that the hash browns and the roast beef weren't cooked enough. Other than that everything was wonderful.
PatriciaT - Thank you for the feedback. We'll discuss these items with the team. We are so glad to hear though that the rest of your meal was wonderful!
Better than IRP in Coralville! You must get the cinnamon rolls.
KendraE - Thanks for the review! We hope to see you again soon.
Drinks were not good. First had a perfect margarita and it didn’t even taste like a margarita and was quite sour. Asked for a mojito and it tasted like mojito mix with barely any liquor in it.
Appetizer of Idaho nachos with Granite City sauce was good. Ordered the BLT tower and it came layer out on the plate and no tower…that was weird but sliders were good.
Carrot cake for dessert was good.
All in all the experience was decent but not good enough to go back anytime soon.
JustineG - We're sorry to hear that. We'll discuss these issues with our team, and hope you'll consider giving Granite City another chance.
Some of the noise level came from us -- a group of 70+ Regis girls getting together, some from out of town. Our waiter could NOT have been better - was there when we needed him, kept up with our water refills (superhydrators), gluten free and other special requests, did not bat an eye when we ordered the incredible cookie sundae - OMG - after we had eaten full meals. All in all it was great! My only criticism was the gluten free bun was not very tasty so I took the top off, but even that has a silver lining, I saved those calories for the cookie! Thanks!!
We had the buffet, the food was warm, not hot. Server didn't seem knowledgeable.
Didn't know mimosa cost, seemed more focused on larger group with cute guys. I requested a spoon to stir coffee and cups could have been larger or a carafe of coffee. I had to hunt down the check so we could pay and leave. Not a great experience, very disappointed.
The full Sunday brunch buffet is back! Plus it included Famous Dave’s ribs. 😀👍
CathyJ - Thanks for the review! Hope to see you again soon.
Our waitress was outstanding, anticipating needs and providing extra perks!! The Octoberfest jaherschnitzel was delicious and authentic and the portion was huge at a great price!
Nannienan - That's what we like to hear! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.
Nice little bar. More like a chain restaurant then a brewery. Food was good, service was good, beer was limited, but good. Good for family/friends dinners. Not so much for business.
My meal was fine and my husband liked his. Drink was a little pricy. My original meal choice wasn't available (mahi tacos) so that was disappointing. Waiter was EXCELLENT! Would go back.
I love the Northern Cheddar Soup. It is the main reason I love eating here. The Service was great and the food is very delicious. This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at.
Food was horrible. Over cooked (rubber) chicken, under cooked (raw) bison and to top it all off an under cooked dessert cookie. Manager was no where to be found. Will NOT go back.
I made a reservation weeks in advance and when we got there, our wait was practically that of not having a reservation. I just didn't understand what the point of making and confirming a reservation if we were still going to have to wait as long as we did for a table. Our server's name was Marcus and he was great! We miss the omelet/egg station and were disappointed that donuts are no longer served.
The Brunch is superb. Prime Rib, fried chicken, fruit, salad and other goodies are fresh and available. The pricing per person is very reasonable
Granite City brunch has always been a favorite of ours! It's been a while since we've been to one, but it's exactly as we remembered. Good experience overall.
First time at this Sunday brunch. Many items advertised were not available. I am a big biscuits and gravy fan and the gravy was not fit to eat. Saw many leftover on peoples plates. Deserts were scarce and was rarely brought out.
Sat for 10 min waiting for a refill drink.
Omelette took 30 min to get and did not dare ask them what kind of breakfast sandwich i could get. Definitely not a good time or value to go at this time.
Good food. Idaho nachos rock
Great place to go for a birthday! I like spicy and most restaurants say it is, but it's not. Granite City nailed it! Spouse had the meat loaf, loved it and brought enough home for dinner for her the next night. Food was great and the service friendly. Would recommend to anyone. A great evening!
We felt very safe with protocols that were in place in the restaurant. Always enjoy the food.
Our food was good, our waitress was excellent, and the new seasonal beer was tasty!
Went for Gluten Free optiobs for ny daughter only to be told they didn't have any buns or flatbread, but she ciuld have a salad. Really!!??
Not impressed at all!
Good food but definitely not social distanced or following 6 ft apart in anyway. So take out until pandemic is over
All was good for our lunch at Granite City on Sunday.
Got a burger that’s was over cooked the bacon on the burger was undercooked if it was even cooked
Not alot of food choices and sticky buns were doughy
Service wasn't terrific. We asked for a side of ranch twice (2 different servers) then watched him stand in the kitchen and talk instead of bringing to us. My daughter's fries were cold by the time she go it. He brought our ticket without asking if we wanted dessert, then brought the cake without the ice cream we asked for. The alfredo was pricy considering it did not come with a salad or even a side of bread.
Daily special incomplete (meat but no side dish available. My dinner arrived cold. Sent it back. Came back fine. Of 20 mussels, 5 were unopened and should not have been served.
The food was great but the server was not very attentive or friendly.
Worked just fine for a quick lunch.
The meal was great and the outdoor dining experience and service were excellent.
The food was excellent! We felt safe due to servers wearing masks and gloves.
Everything was great
We sat outside was a little noise but I knew that. It wss nice outside dining
the meat portion on the sandwich was a little light on the roast beef and if we had to order a dessert again we would not order the iron skillet apple pie it just I don't know whether it's just poorly executed or a bad design but it's just not a very wasn't very good dessert overall the experience was adequate but not great
I really enjoyed my meal and the conversation, which I was able to hear!
This was for the Sunday Brunch. The rib roast was inedible. The rest was a typical mid-level buffet. Service was good, tho, and they let us take some cinnamon rolls home. Also the decor is always nice at Granite City. Stick to the beer and sandwiches.
It was Valentine’s Day! We did the special for $44.99 and we added a bottle of sparkling Wine for $10. The atmosphere was fun and laid back. Food was delicious. We had the Idaho nachos, sirloin dinner, salmon dinner m, and a carrot cake to share. It was lol very good. The potato’s on the steak dinner was way to salty but apart from that it still had good flavor.
They were very accommodating and pork nachos were awesome
Everything was great
Waiter was a bit slow but the place was busy
Had to ask for water refil
That’s always my tell for quality service
