   We attended the Mothers Day Brunch, which was considerably more expensive than the normal brunch price. It irritates me that for $35, a token beverage like coffee or iced tea is NOT included. There was no hot vegetable option and the only salad was out the whole time we were there. The food that was offered was delicious and there were several options, but it was NOT worth the extra cost over an and above the normal Sunday brunch. It felt like a money grab to take advantage of the holiday. The service was good and ordering omelettes/eggs Benedict/ham/prime rib was efficient compared to standing in line for those items. The cinnamon rolls were delicious. For $35 per person, it was disappointing. Also, it would be helpful to have labels in front of the Buffet dishes. One dish was seafood and some people have shellfish allergies. Labels on items that are not readily recognizable would be helpful for diners.

   I understand this was Mother's Day Brunch, but the food kept running out and having to wait for it to be put out especially when you are given a time limit to eat. The prime rib was overcooked to well with no pink at all and my omelet was burned. The ham was good and the cinnamon rolls amazing. Our server disappeared on us leaving the bill with out us before we were finished. My husband had to have another server find ours so we could pay the bill. It was overpriced for what was offered. Will be going back to Iowa River Power Restaurant next year.

   In the past I have thoroughly enjoyed the brunch, especially the mother's day brunch. However, this year was not good. The food did not taste well and there were not many options to choose from. Sincerely, Disappointed.

   The buffet was average but the price was high. The waitress didn’t explain anything and we missed out on some of the food (omelets and ham) because you have to ask for it. The food seemed over cooked. Nothing special.

    Very disappointed. We have been there in the past for Easter and Mother’s Day buffets. There was no carving station so you had tell them him if you want prime rib or ham. They bring 1 slice, it was cold, no horseradish and it was brought while we are in the food line. Then we had to wait for him to come around again so we could tell him we’d like horseradish and waited in that and it was even more cold. Then there was no omelette station, so he finally came back with a paper for my husband to say what he wanted and his omelette, and when the omelette came, it was burnt around the edges smelled awful, and my husband ate a few bites and said “this has no taste” and did not eat it. I guess they do not offer any other beverages except for Coke products. That’s what we were offered. In the past we have had a mimosa or something. This felt very rushed, he brought us our bill right away and we were never offered dessert, which from my understanding was included in the $35 price. I was full, but I would’ve been glad to take a piece of desert home and so would have my husband. As far as we are concerned it was not a very good value for the money. It felt very rushed throughout the whole thing. The buffet food was not anything to write home about. The meat they brought to us was cold and we had to wait to get horseradish which made it colder. It felt like they tried to be stingy. The fruit was very good, that’s about all I can say. I guess they accomplished what they wanted. We were in and out in 40-45 minutes. We will not be back for any buffets.

    Wonderful as always!!! Our server was amazing even when my husbands shrimp boil wasn’t available she made sure she gave the best service even though we were not upset.

    We have had brunch at GC several times, This time it was terrible food warm, asked for med rare prime rib received overly done could not cut it much less eat it! LAST TIME I WASTE MY MONEY THERE

    We have celebrated holidays at Granite City many times, but this visit was sub-par. The food was not up to standard, in selection and in taste. Service was poor...our waitperson never directed us to the omelet and meat station that was located separate from the buffet, in the bar area. (We had to remark to her that we had expected these items before she said, Oh yeah, it's over there.) She never asked what desserts we wanted, rather, she brought plates of whatever she thought we wanted and dumped them on the table. She acted like she was rushing us.

    I had to give 1 star for service/overall due to no response from management from being chest hit by an employee. I’m disabled and use a cane. While walking to the restrooms, a middle aged female employee was working with others taking down the buffet tables. She kept stepping in front of me as I tried passing her. After 3 times of this she aggressively threw/slide a stack of chairs directly in front of me almost hitting my cane. Another employee saw this and ran and grabbed the chairs to pull them to the side. By this time she had moved directly by the restroom entrance. I was walking a straight line to get to the restroom and she made eye contact and charged at me, chest slamming me, almost knocking me over. She then continued to the tables to taken them down as I stumbled to catch my balance from almost falling. The next day this was brought to the attention of the manager and we were only told “I’ll look into it”. There has been zero follow up. Your cameras would have seen everything. With spinal injuries, it caused great pain for the next few days from the hard impact. It appears the woman did not want to be working so she was aggressive and was ready to knock any customer over so she could finish what she was doing. Our dinner server was great. He kept checking to see if we needed drink refills. Some of the food items were consistently out, so there was delays on getting some items. The attack at the end is ridicules. I guess the woman wanted me to dive to the side to avoid being rammed by her. Since I can’t move fast she decided to collide head on to me instead. She can walk triple the speed I can so it was intentional by her to ram me like that. I don’t plan on returning since there was no follow up and they clearly think trying to knock disabled customers over is ok.

    Disappointed in the food overall. No ham available. No ham on Easter? Biscuits in pieces and gravy like water. Salmon dry. Macaroni very runny. Dishes not refilled.

    The Easter buffet had 2 lines, one with the side type dishes and one with all the other, prime rib, eggs benedict, ham, omelet. They were both across the restaurant from each other. The first line went pretty fast, the prime rib line was pretty slow. and no plates were on this line ( so we had to other line across the restaurant for a plate) one guy was cutting ham and roast beef and one guy for the omelets,& eggs benedict. This was too much for one person to do omelets and egg benedicts. That is where the line got held up. With only an hour to complete our meal on Easter we spent at least 15 min waiting in line for food and didn't spend a lot of time enjoying each others company as we were standing in line at different times . The food was very good no complaints other than not real hot by the time we got through the line. I think will go back to cooking our Easter meal so we can relax and enjoy our time together.

    We had a wonderful server - she brought us all water and cinnamon rolls. The Easter Brunch was beyond wonderful. The six of us had an amazing experience at Granite City and this has been our family tradition for years. See you next year! Thank you!

    Our waitress was fantastic, very attentive, but not annoying. The food was delicious, and a decent amount for the price. I would say that there isn't a great variety of gluten free alcohol drinks, unless you pay for a mixed drink. They could carry couple of hard ciders for choice.

    We visited on a Friday night (December 23rd) with a group of co-workers and our spouses for an annual holiday meal. It was not busy due to the weather and there appeared to be plenty of staff for a Friday night! It had been a while since our last visit to this location and the familiar menu items were delicious! Our only complaint was the attentiveness of our wait staff. It wasn't TERRIBLE by any means but we sat for quite some times without any refills on our beverages several times throughout the meal and finally flagged down a manager to get her attention as she had disappeared. We were a party of 8 and could have easily spent another $100+ on beers and cocktails (and were prepared to do so as in years past) had we been given the opportunity. It was a missed opportunity for the restaurant AND wait staff to have a little extra tip money in her pocket!

    I only made reservations here for Thanksgiving because I had read reviews in past years that it was good. My food was anything but good. The rolls were HARD. The stuffing was COLD. The turkey was actually fine. The salmon was a bit OVERCOOKED but if you dug into the middle it was "okay" but not really very flavorable. The mashed potatoes had WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC in it. You could smell it as you stood at the buffet. The pumpkin pie was a nice size & I thought it was okay. My granddaughter said her first time at making pumpkin pie tasted better. I can't recall if the drinks were included or not...they didn't say & so I ordered water. The table lacked any kind of holiday decor. In fact, I didn't find the place to be very festive at all. It was okay but a little bit of a reminder of the holiday would have been nice. If there was anything, I didn't notice it. I won't return. I spent $130 there plus an additional tip for the person serving drinks. She never asked how the meal was at all.

    Food was awful. Like they opened some cans and bags. Not fresh or seasoned, pie was awful too. Granite City has good menu food but the holiday buffet was extremely disappointing. Server was prompt and friendly.

    We ate at Granite City for their Thanksgiving Buffet. We had reservations and we were seated upon arrival—no waiting. The staff was cheerful and attentive checking back with us regularly. The buffet had a great selection of food and all was fresh and delicious. We drove 5 hours to meet up with our son for dinner—no place to cook—and this was a great option.
