The food and service at The Grange are consistently excellent.
Been once each for lunch and dinner. Great seasonal, locally sourced food; friendly service; nice atmosphere; good overall value. I will definitely go again.
Food was bland at best. Disappointed because I’ve had good experiences here before. Our waiter Roger was great tho.
Once again, Grange delivers superb food and impeccable, low key service. Caesar salads with grilled salmon add on is a terrific protein/veggie option. Raspberry lemonade spritzer sounded good...and it was.
Valentines Day celebration
Both the food and service were excellent. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and the preparation of the food and was highly professional and personable. The food was locally sourced and seasonal. Highly recommended
Went for Valentines Day, my partner and I didn't like the 3 of the 4 plates. We definitely would not come back if Grange is serving a four-course meal.
1. beets - very good!
2. Squid ink risotto with lobster tail was bland and didn't have much flavor
3. Prime Rib was very chewy and fatty
4. Ice cream cake taste like a commercial refrigerator
I reserved a table for two back at the end of December, for Valentines Day. I’ve always experienced limited options for reservations around V-Day and wanted to get the jump, it worked because our dinner at the Grange was the best V-Day experience we’ve ever had.
Upon arriving the hostess seated us quickly, we sat at a 4 person table, even though it was just the two of us. I don’t know about you, but not being crammed in on V-Day is unheard of! At this point we were definitely excited for the experience, ambiance was relaxing, tables were full and lively but not loud and annoying.
The food was perfection, everything was delivered with great presentation and flavors that covered your palette. Finishing with two perfectly crafted ice cream sandwiches, with two glasses of Clicquot, was really the icing on the cake!
If you’re looking for a great, fresh, and relaxing evening on V-Day, you need to go to the Grange.
Great get together with friends and we kept seeing other friends walking by and invited them in to join us. Great fun!
Food was OK but overpriced . Service was TERRIBLE. It took a long time for drinks to arrive. Unwisely I ordered a second martini which didn’t show up until I was nearly finished with my entree. Waitperson no where in sight.
We had a group date night. The ambiance was on point and the food was delicious.
This place never disappoints. This is a stellar example of Farm to Fork. I've never had a bad meal. It's fine dining, but in a casual atmosphere. Menu changes frequently. Make reservations, they get busy.
Great food, great service and really appreciated their extra effort for our birthday celebration. Will definitely return!!
The food was really spectacular, the 4 cheese plate appetizer was great, as was the Honey Sriracha Brussels Sprout side, which was enough for 2 to share along with entrees. The bench seating is really comfortable. Looking forward to returning.
Food and staff great. Can't wait to return.
Beat meal ever at the Grange. Service was first class. Setting was nice. Better than when this was a JDV property
Great place to go, farm to fork, great service.
I work the farmers market selling my husbands family’s pears. Oliver, the Grange chef, regularly bought our fruit. I’ve been telling him for the past 5 years that I wanted to bring my mother to lunch. A few months ago we thought we were going to lose her. Now she’s well enough and I made goodon my promise. V we had a very nice lunch. The ambiance was great, the food was very good as was the customer service!
Thank you, Tim for wonderful service and friendliness.
Service was great as always and food was delicious!
Ridiculous over priced food and wine. Nice ambiance, and very be attentive staff. But, food very poor quality.(had better steaks at the outback). Humongous wine selection, but, absolutely ridiculous prices.
This was our first visit to The Grange. We were excited that they were a part of dine downtown. We even brought our 20 yr old son with us. The service was very good. We really enjoyed the carrot ginger soup. I chose the hanger steak for my entree, it was a bit chewy, not tender, over all flavor was delicious. My wine choice was very good, the Boeger grange blend. We were just a bit disappointed with the steak. Other than that, the experience was amazing.
Great food and service. It's a little loud and the vibe seems a little state Capitol centric.
We have eaten at the Grange on several occasions and have been delighted with the experience each time. The food is among the best in the Sacramento area and the service is attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant. Both my wife and I strongly recommend it.
All of the food was delicious and the service was excellent. My main dish was served luke warm and although the server said it was an easy fix to heat it up, the kitchen insisted on making it over again (quickly) saying there is no excuse for serving an item luke warm.
Great preparation on all dishes. Great personal service and love the venue. We come relatively often and will continue!
Amazing food. We ordered three different dishes - each with its own unique hollandaise. Sooooo yummy. This quickly became the best breakfast place in all of Sacramento. Our server was also Uber on top of it. Highly recommended.
Went to Grange as part of Dine In Downtown so had limited menu choice but were thrilled with quality of food, the ambience, and especially the service from Melissa. Certainly will return. Must eat there if you stay at the Citizen and a top choice for Sacramento residents as well.
This is a cool spot. Bit pricy but inventive dishes.
I got there 15 min prior to the reservation but was given the choice and was promptly seated. My companion arrived around 30 mins after the reservation due to traffic. We were never rushed and all aspects of the dinner were great.
