The menu showcases the market-driven bounties from the state and is best described as simple, seasonal and soulful. Organically raised meats and poultry are complemented with the freshest produce available from the Central Valley, while sustainable coastal seafood is paired with a spectacular all-California wine list. The entrees are presented in a straightforward American brasserie style. Lastly, enjoy the creations from our pastry chef such as rustic artisan breads and desserts.
This Sacramento restaurant’s setting is both classic and authentic. The two-story space combines architectural elements from the building’s rich history with exposed beams and concrete columns to create a surprising and urban, loft-like atmosphere.
Excellent place to dine.
Great choices on the menu.
The bloody Mary’s were so delicious.
Service was excellent
Great food and service
Fantastic food beginning to end. Large portions. Creative. Highest quality. Freshest ingredients.
Excellent food. $150 for dinner and drink for 2. Food was 10. Dessert was 10.
Second time there.... first time, all was great. This time, service was slow and the food obviously on the warmer for a while. I even mentioned that we had a time issue, and that didnt help.
Food was delicious. Menu is a bit different but food was good. Overall, priced like a hotel restaurant and this a bit high for lunch.
Excellent all around.
The food and service were outstanding, however, we were relegated to sit upstairs (practically alone) where there was little to look at and zero ambiance.
Great ambience, good service. We had a nice Mother's Day brunch.
Our family enjoys dining at The Grange. Our meals are always outstanding.
Inspired menu choices at reasonable prices. Interesting architecturally. Sophisticated yet friendly atmosphere. A great find—we’ll be back!
Noisy kitchen dropping several plates (no exaggeration) throughout evening.
Out of key ingredient to make signature cocktail which was disappointing.
I frequently dine at Grange, so I don’t want this to reflect on every time I’ve been there. But last night my husband and I dined there for my birthday. Our server was absolutely the worst server I believe we’ve had anywhere. He was rude, frazzled, we had to ask for everything. I had to ask for bread for our table, then if we could order. It was uncomfortable and made the dinner in a bummer mood since it felt so “tense”. I couldn’t relax and I couldn’t wait to get out of there fast enough..
usually our time at Grange is amazing. But now I’m nervous and reluctant to go back wondering if it’s going down hill.....
Our meal was amazing and the service was first-rate. Our server provided wonderful recommendations...you will not regret trying the carrot cake! We’re looking forward to our future visits already...
Service and ambiance was excellent food was very good but not as amazing as I had hoped (given the price and reputation). But it was very well prepared and presented.
Our waiter was fabulous Mark. He noticed that we all had our waffle girl tShirts on (we go out once a month to find the best brunch and my mom loves her a good waffle). Mark let us know that they could make her a waffle. she almost licked her plate clean. She loved it so much. It’s came with a fabulous mascarpone cream and wonderful maple syrup. I had the Smoked chicken hash. Heaven to Betsy it was delicious, I recommend it. My friend had a mushroom omelette that was fabulous. The service was on point. Definitely worth returning again.
Went on Sunday for lunch. Ordered the Crab Louie Salad and there was so little crab that it didn’t even taste like the namesake. Very disappointing at a restaurant where I’ve come to expect so much more. Going to skip this place on weekends from now on.
Had brunch on Sunday and really a nice selection of items. I had the crab louie and was very good and fresh tasting. One other diner had the lox and bagels and it was visually appetizing and she said also tasted just as good. Even though very cavernous we had no trouble talking. It was not packed so that might have helped. I would return especially for that crab louie.
Excellent service and great food...every single time!
There clearly was some sort of breakdown tonight. When we arrived the hostess essentially told us that she couldn’t seat us yet because there weren’t any menus to give us....weird but ok we can grab a drink and wait. We were sat upstairs and Tiffany was our server, who is fantastic. Our apps came out quickly but we waited over a hour for our entrees. There was clearly some issues going on being on the second floor gave us a birds eye view of the rest of the dining room. Plates were going back to the kitchen, 5+ empty tables with dirty dishes still needing to be bused sat for several minutes. Being in the industry for years and my husband being a chef you notice the little things. It was clear the restaurant was going done, hard. When our food finally did come it was fantastic. Tiffany was on point with apologizing and advocating for a comp with the manager. I had been wanting to go here for some time and it was a little disappointing to be there on a really bad night.
Great attentive staff, wide variety of food choice. Had steak, was melting in mouth and tasty.
We came seeking a quiet dinner and Grange was a good choice.
Great service. Food was a bit underwhelming. The specialty Mule cocktail and the service were the high points.
Our visit to Grange, for our 17th-anniversary dinner, was a delight from start to finish. Our server, Quentin, was in training, but his knowledge, decorum and pleasant style would have never given that away. The food was expertly prepared. My red snapper was delicious and my husband's lamb shank was swoon-worthy. We finished our dinner with the Meyer lemon beignets which were light and delicious. We enjoyed sitting on the street side of the restaurant next to the large picture windows, but there were plenty of quiet, peaceful tables upstairs or more centrally located. I can't say enough about how pleasant our meal was...and an hour and a half flew by (never did we feel rushed). I know we'll be back, and we'll probably bring friends.
Bus staff was excellent, clearing and keeping water glasses filled. Wait staff was also very good in their service and also they actually looked up the answer for our question concerning cocktail ingredient. Menu was small but covered all aspects of desires and the food was excellent.
Wow, where do I start? My wife and I have been going to Grange since our very first wedding anniversary six years ago. Even though the food is excellent, the ambiance spot on, it is the service more than anything that keeps us coming back. Tim our server this year continued the legacy of expert service. Attentive but not invasive, knowledgable but not arrogant, and pleasant to chat with. But the service does not end with Tim. I left a note in the open table app that simply said we were celebrating our sixth anniversary in a row at their establishment and were looking forward to our reservation. Front of the house staff obviously take their hospitality seriously because when Tim first arrived table side it was to offer us two glasses of champagne courtesy of management. We were also so appreciative the manager on duty came by the table to thank us for celebrating with them year after year.
The kitchen was firing on all cylinders because they were delivering hit after delicious hit all night long. The ahi appetizer had all the right traditional notes but was crowned with unbelievably buttery uni that took the dish to the next level. Flawlessly executed soft boiled eggs made the asparagus salad downright divine. The plating for the New York was perfection with those cubed confit Yukons supporting a perfectly executed cut of medium rare heaven. With a little bit of the velvety Casa Piena cab still in our glasses we decided to go with the S'mores dessert pairing. The deconstructed S'more was served so elegantly that it was almost unrecognizable as its campfire counterpart. Our sincerest compliments Chef!
We always have high expectations of Grange but to execute like they do, as individuals, and as a team, year after year is just remarkable. That kind of consistency, at that level of cuisine just isn't something you find everyday, and it's for that reason the night always ends with "see you next year".
'Till next year,

Food was amazing and the service was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I think that this had to be the very best pork chop that I’ve ever had! It was seared to perfection while still very moist and perfectly “medium” cooked. It was served over thumbalina carrots and oat risotto. There were balsamic braised trumpet mushrooms as well as micro greens. All very delicious. The restaurant was well appointed in tasteful, rustic decor. The service was friendly and very professional without being cold or pretentious. I will definitely return... good beer selection as well
The snapper was very good, as was the rolled oat risotto. My wife’s pork chop was cooked to her liking. This was the first time in many dinner outings that we can say we both left happy and satisfied.
Our meals at the Grange are always excellent, and the service is very good.
Service and food excellent. A bit pricey especially for alcohol.
Serving persons smart, kind, attentive and very patient. Will go back when in Sacto!
Staff were very accommodating - thank you!
The restaurant is very modern inside, very clean and inviting. The coffee was good, and so was their twist on a mimosa (bubbly and bright!). Our waitress recommended the brunch burger and it was delicious! Both the meat and the egg were cooked right, and the fries were crispy golden outside and soft inside! The affogato for desert was simple, not a strong vanilla flavor from the ice cream, but the espresso was fresh and a great balance to the ice cream. Definitely coming back to try something else!
The Grange is one of the best restaurants in the sac downtown area. The food is fresh and delicious. Everything is good from the menu. Highly recommend the Grange.
The filet mignon was perfectly prepared. Service attentive. Consistently excellent.
Excellent service and wonderful food.
Mary’s chicken was superb!
Loved the food and atmosphere! Looking forward to returning in the future!
We had to change our reservation twice because we were delayed. Each time I called they were very accomodating. We finally made it there and it was worth it. The service was a bit slow but the ambience and food were delicious. It's an open space so I thought it might be noisy but it wasn't. It has an open friendly feel.
Nice place with great atmosphere. Service seemed sort of slow, at least for cocktails. (was in there for late night drinks; then back in the AM for breakfast.) Bathrooms are sort of a hike.
