Pig ear salad was terrific!
The Halibut was terrific! Excellent service and nice ambiance
I like going to Grange but it can be noisy due to the high ceilings and spare decor. Food is good, very farm to fork, but one friend doesn’t eat pork so she felt a bit limited. But I’ll still go there for special occasions. Entrees are a bit expensive, maybe even overpriced.
Lovely setting for our 30th wedding anniversary. Food and service were outstanding!
We stayed at the Citizen Hotel for 2 nights and we literally ate 5 meals here because we were too busy/tired to go elsewhere. Luckily, the food was really good, but it is $$. The portions are not super big, which worked for us, but others might be disappointed. The quality of the food was very good, we had lamb chops, steelhead, chicken, and breakfast items and enjoyed them all. Unlike many hotel restaurants we have been in, the place was hopping for dinner and seemed like a destination for locals as well as guests. I would definitely recommend it.
Both my wife and I have eaten here several times for brunch and lunch we love the atmosphere and the food is awesome
Incredibly awesome food and incredibly awesome service. Love this place.
Food was great but the service was awful. The hostess was absent from the check-in podium for 10+ minutes. When we asked the bartender he said she was seating another table and to wait for her. Once seated we waited almost 20 minutes for our drinks and the food arrived before the drinks. We had to ask 3 times for our drinks. We ordered simple drinks from the menu. It also took a long time for us to get our check. Won't recommend this spot unless they have a service change.
Very nice restaurant, but both appetizer and main course were quite over-spiced. Made my eyes water and, more importantly, masked the flavor of the dish.
Basically okay, but grossly overpriced. $17, gor instance, for an unexceptional glass of wine, and a fairly skimpy glass at that.
If I could knock half a star off for the overall value I would, but it still was 5 star experience.
We were on a road trip and stumbled upon Grange through OpenTable but in the future I will plan a stop in Sacramento to visit this amazing restaurant! The food was exquisite and the service as well. I am sure that the menu is always changing because the vegetables tasted like they were growing the day before. My friend and I commented about how pretentious it is to not even have salt and pepper on the table but we did not ever ask for it, everything was absolutely delicious!
Great food, priced well, very limited wine selection though. Brought a bottle, only 20 dollar corkage
Wonderful vegan dinner! Thank you!
Innovative menu, with fresh ingredients. I had the citrus salad with creamy pistachio dressing.
Excellent breakfast and service!!
The lunch menu is great and I loved the lunch special. Our server was pretty busy as he was handling the bar and bar tables, so that was a downside as we waited for a while for the check and he didn’t get a chance to refill drinks for a while. Otherwise, the food was good and the price was decent.
Drinks were great. Ribeye a bit salty.
The food was incredible! Next time I’m in Sac, I will go back!
Our meals were all very unique, fresh and absolutely delicious. The Tusk is a unique and delicious whiskey drink, my favorite!
The steak i ordered was a little tough and not very flavorful for 50 dollars I expected better. The side vegetables were very good. My wife had the chicken it was very good. Desert was also good.
The Grange has become my go-to place in Sacramento. Food and drink is always creative and high-quality. Crowd is always interesting. Something fresh is always coming out of the kitchen and the waiters' recommendations are typically right on the money.
I have been to The Grange several times for brunches and dates. My girlfriend had never been and I wanted her to try it. The cocktails were excellent, my first and second course were outstanding while my girlfriend found the vinaigrette forthe Red Snapper a tad salty but was overalll very pleased. It is pricey at The Grange but you get outstanding service and some of the freshest ingredients around the city of Sacramento.
The seating at the bar looked good. We sat at a table and really didn't get even asked if we wanted a drink for 20 minutes. Service throughout the night was slow. Best bread and butter though.
We went for Brunch. Some very creative choices on the menu. The food was very good, but beware the portions are huge. Sharing would be a good idea. Great cocktails. It took a very long time for the food to arrive.
The whole experience was outstanding- from the service to the ambiance to the incredible food - bravo!
We were seated at 5:30. Appetizers came relatively quickly. Then nothing. We didn't get our main course until almost 7:45. Lots of apologies but no explanation as to why. Watched all the tables around us get seated after us, eat, have dessert, pay and then leave before our main course arrived. It took us 3 hours to eat dinner. Food was good but not worth the wait. Don't think we will go back again.
Loved the decor and food. Great restaurant in a cool hotel downtown. Accommodated my gluten free needs.
The Grange is consistently good ... fresh ingredients and nice presentation! My only complaint is that the menu changes so often that some of my favorites are gone before I can enjoy the again!
We've dined here before, but this time were seated in the more noisy-busy downstairs. Food had terrific fresh ingredients, but the sauce on the snapper overwhelmed everything with salty oil. The wine was only fair--just luck of the draw. The lemon sorbet was reeeely sour. The service staff was attentive, overall; we did not connect with our server to communicate as clearly as we hoped. Perhaps an off nite?
Excellent meal, friendly service, great atmosphere. Valet made downtown location hassle free OpenTable reservation worked like a charm.
There for business.
WHY WAS HOSTESS RUDE TWICE? TWICE!!!!
PLEASE HIRE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT RUDE DIVA S WITH RUDE TUDE!
The service and the food were both wonderful. This restaurant is a little pricey, but well worth it for a special meal out.
Great place in downtown for lunch, with valet parking. Nice atmosphere!
My boyfriend and I were looking at $ (2 dollar sign) restaurants in downtown/midtown Sacramento. We found Grange under this category and decided to give it a try. To our dismay, the prices were very high; a single glass of local wine was more expensive than an entree', the least expensive entree' (chicken) was $24.95. A group of four professional women sat down next to us, looked at the menus, commented on the $ sign that was advertised an promptly got up and left the restaurant.
There is no getting around that dinner was delicious and the bar is fun to sit at; however the $ should be a $$ or $$ and not advertised as a $, because the Grange defiantly is not. We were not prepared for such an expensive dinner.
The wait staff provided excellent customer service.
I was in town for business and made a reservation. Upon arrival, the hostess tried seating my upstairs. However, as a single, I didn't really want to be isolated up there. I sat in the downstairs and everything was good. But, I've noticed the Grange has gotten really pricey. I had scallops and clams and they were delicious. But the veggies were celery, mushrooms and potatoes. I know seafood is expensive but 39.00 for this seemed high and I'm not sure I would return. Wine prices are also high, but also delicious. It was good and I enjoyed, but definitely a splurge and probably not a place I will come to again.
It was great!
Lovely evening. Food was very good. Excellent service. Very accommodating.
Awesome as always- but this time the service stood out as the icing on the cake. Super attentive and fun service blended with an awesome seasonal Moscow mule which was SO good I was tempted to have 3! But better judgement on my part made me explore the menu instead of drinking my dinner!
