Beautiful view, delicious food, steak was perfect, service was wonderful.. but I think they need better dessert.. still a 5 star :)
We had heard a lot about the Grand View and were not disappointed. The view was absolutely amazing, they had fun cocktails on the bar menu and the food was delicious!
Early Valentine’s day . Staff went out of their way to meet our needs
Great view. Food was above average and that’s because of the price. Steak was above average, sides were good. Lobster was delicious. Honestly the food overall is good and combined with the view, it’s a great experience, BUT the food is not worth the price.
Good times. Amazing view! Yummy food. Long drive, but worth it!
For the price, the food was fine, but could habe been better. We ordered the prawn cocktail and charcuterie to start. For $15 we received 6 prawns served on a plate. It was good, and then the charcuterie came, served with meat, some great mustard and jam, and some simple cheeses. I had a cocktail that tasted like lemonade, which was fine. The main course was to be a medium rare filet mignon, but it took a long time to arrive, and when it did, it was well-done... I let the waitress know and she immediately took it back to have another one sent out. The manager came out and apologized and delivered the next one himself. It was perfectly done, but not a spectacular steak for ~$50. My wife's pasta was better than most I find in this area. Service was excellent and the view, unbeatable.
Very courteous waiters. Great live music. Good drive and of course the view itself.
The Grandview was a fantastic final destination for our dinner date. We sat outside where the namesake view was remarkable. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the available dishes. One of us had a glutein allergy and we were able to exactly pinpoint acceptable dishes with their help! The food was top notch, however it's rather expensive even taking into account the view and ambiance that you're paying for. Nevertheless, I would recommend the Grandview to everyone for at least one night! My one caveat is that their glutein free selection is not fantastic, and severely limited the menu, so you may want to avoid if you have Celiac disease.
Set between heaven and earth this historic restaurant makes you not want to return to level ground. The food is delicious the service outstanding and the view makes it out of this world! You can taste the freshness of their homegrown vegetables. You don't want to miss this experience, with the drive!
Outstanding. Will go back. Was able to talk to my wife in a normal to hushed voice and still hear the piano. Drinks were will made. Recommended both the Manhattan (mine) or chocolate martini (wife). Tiramisu had way too much cocoa powder making it a bit dry for my taste. Prime rib was cooked to perfection. Wait staff were outstanding.
