The Grand Terrace Igloos
The Packages are as follows:
---- 1) Grand Igloo Package | $250 | 6 guest maximum - COVID restriction 1/11/2021
---- 2) Grand Igloo Premier Package | $300 | 6 guest maximum - COVID restriction 1/11/2021
Once you make your reservation, our Igloo Team will call you to confirm which Igloo Package you would like to book, how many guests will be attending, and if there are any dietary restrictions. All ages are welcome. Reservations are required. Our igloos are heated, but we also recommend bundling up to stay toasty & warm during this fun winter experience!
A cool new experience during the COVID winter month. Great food and wine options!
Overall this was a great experience but I think the timeline should be at least 2 hours for the price.
Great atmosphere, fun place. Nice seating. When called prior to our reserved time to see what package we wanted, told them we were celebrating birthdays and wanted to order dinner after Hors d'voures. They said ok but they never offered dinner & when we asked for menus they said it was too late to order dinner as it would take too long to make. Server was not friendly.
We were disappointed in the overall experience in the Grand Terrace Igloos. We expected to have a nice meal while we were there. Due to their current COVID practices, all food was served in disposable food containers with plastic silverware. For a $300 entry price, you certainly expect better than this. Due to recent dining experiences in other restaurants in Washington, we know this is not a department of health policy but a Davenport policy. There were no other parties present in the other igloos that night and no parties to follow ours, but we were kicked out after 1.5 hours when we would have definitely spent more time hanging out in the igloos and ordering drinks. Overall, for the quality of food and experience we had, I would definitely not recommend spending the money to dine here. We recently dined in the Luna Igloos and our experience there was EXPONENTIALLY superior. Nicer decor, a table with real china and silverware, hot food coming out of the kitchen, etc. Spend your money elsewhere.
The igloos provide a fun winter spot -- especially great with any Covid concerns. The setting is great -- the food and drinks are good. It's expensive, but a nice splurge after not going out much recently.
Our server seemed very impatient with us & did not listen very well to drink orders.
Ridiculously priced. Also they offer the “full menu” of food but serve you in styrofoam to go boxes. Just a heads up the igloo is freezing. The temperature with 4 people inside of ours had to be about 40 degrees all night.
We know you can have up to six people - we had three and it cost over $400. $150 is the "rental of the igloo". We added the extra $50 for the appetizers which were all cold, crackers and basic cheese (not even a brie), some hummus, veggies and six prawns. Nothing special and nothing warm. You get $100 credit for alcohol but the wine was priced high so we went over with just one bottle. Service was lacking. One server for all the igloos. Water came in personal bottles and then you get kicked out before your 1.5 hours are up. Wouldn't do it again.
These igloos are pretty cool! Literally. Granted, it was a cold Valentine's Eve night, but the little space heater couldn't really keep up with the opening and closing of the zippered door. The seating is comfortable, and the blankets help a bit, but for a 90-minute reservation (at $100 per half-hour), the last 30 minutes saw us bundled in our coats and hats. The food was ridiculously delicious and ample, and at least our drinks stayed cold, and they even threw in a little Bluetooth speaker. As a small group, lots of fun, but I'd recommend a night warmer than the 30s.
It was such a fun experience! It was chilly outside (22 degrees and windy) so we were worried, but with the space heater (and all of us wearing coats!) we didn’t need hats and gloves. Fun ambiance!
Soooooooooooo soooooooooooooo much funnnnnnnnnnnnn
We came on the coldest day of the year so could have used another heater. Otherwise it was very special place to have an intimate gathering. The decor and layout were excellent for that, the food was excellent as were the drinks.
For $250, catering to vegetarian requests by chopping up even more raw veggies wasn't what I'd expect from a place like The Davenport Grand. Plus, I said a couple in our party had garlic allergies, so since they wouldn't replace the garlic hummus, there wasn't anything to dip this mound of veggies into. In fact, there was a jam and some feta, but as we sat down we were told that those had garlic in them too.
The garlic hummus, not that anyone was touching it, was slightly dry around the sides, looking as if it had been sitting out for awhile before we arrived.
So we ordered from the bar menu, and out came to-go bags with the food in plastic containers. This was unexpected and took away from the general igloo experience.
The igloo was extremely cold, with the heater having no real effect. Even for my mother, so was sitting right next to it.
When the server came to say our time was up (she actually said we were 10 mins over) she left to get the check, but didn't close the zipper this time, as if a passive aggressive reminder that we really did need to get out of there. The irony is that this is exactly what we were thinking too because it was so cold -- even more so now that the door had purposely been left open as a reminder. Such an acting just felt completely unnecessary.
So, all in all, I left with a sick feeling of spending so much money on something so mediocre, when I had been excited to experience this with my mother and good friend who was visiting from out of town.
Food was great! Service was great! We got there at 5pm, free parking. It was an amazing time. Would definitely do it again.
Wonderful experience at the igloos. Wish there were more variety of options to eat. But in COVID times it is understandable
This has now become an annual tradition for us on my wife's birthday. The service and ambiance are outstanding. The food is good but a bit pricey for what you get but it's fun to splurge sometimes.
The surprise $100 charge for dining in their plastic tent was nice, but the auto gratuity for a party of four was the icing on the cake. Apparently gratuity is no longer earned, but required these days. (Stated by the 35 yr old who worked in fine dining for several years).
We had 2 igloos.... and sadly due yo the materiel, the zipper on igloo #3 kept getting stuck so it made it tough to go in and out... also since it had snowed and rained... there was a giant puddle in our igloo.... wish there had been a way to take care of that
Wonderful experience - specialty drinks, charcutier board, etc. were amazing! The atmosphere was wonderful. A bit chilly, but the blankets helped. Our family wishes to make this a yearly tradition.
We had a great experience celebrating my daughters birthday. It is outside and you need to dress for the weather if it's cold. There is a heater that takes the chill off and blankets are provided. Our server was very friendly and prompt! Felt very comfortable with the covid protocol.
It was so much fun hanging out inside these igloo tables, they were warm and cozy. The food was delicious. The server was very attentive. They even had a bluetooth portable speaker so we can set up our own music. I would highly recommend it for date nights and small group get together.
Loved the experience! It was a beautiful, private getaway! Very impressed with our server, as well as the decor, and food package. Because we are not heavy drinkers, I appreciated the staff letting me use our $100 beverage credit toward additional menu items! The chicken fettuccine wasn’t very good, just bland. However the food included with the package was amazing, would just get something different than the fettuccine next time! We drove three hours for this and would do it all again! Very beautifully put together!
Not worth the money spent! Food was already on the table when we arrived, cold and dry. Premier package really has no tasty options: prawns, salmon spread and Teriyaki Poke^
Was so nice to enjoy an evening out without worry of coming in contact with non compliance, servers were fantastic as well as the food and drinks. Made for a awesome birthday for my husband.
Great food. Knowledgeable attentive server.
Amazing service, amazing food, amazing atmosphere....absolutely the best date night we've had in a very long time!
A very special experience to celebrate our anniversary!!
Great waiter, great service. Food was good, but not spectacular. I would like to have had more options on food or snacks. Maybe even offer some nice flavored hot coffees or cocoa. You had to search for the entrance and then search where to checking, which was completely at the opposite end of entrance. Enjoyed my visit with friends, but went by quick for so little offered.
Do it for the experience and to enjoy the company of your group!
- Intimate setting, did not hear the other parties (igloos)
- They have a Bluetooth speaker you can connect to while you are there
- Great service
- Limited menu, good food and beverages
- It was warmer than anticipated inside the igloo, bring a coat just in case
- Family friendly
An upbeat family outing during the grey freezing rain of January. The igloo welcomed us with cozy seating, warm blankets and fun decor. Our wait staff was very attentive and the food and drinks were ample. A boom let us stream our own music. I would book this again.
This was a special and fun way to celebrate New Year’s Eve with family members!
New Year’s Eve
Wonderful ambiance and outstanding care from staff.
Unique experience, excellent service and food quality.
What a very special night! We had so much fun! great fun great service we were warm and cozy
Would not do this again, igloos are cold with only a very small heater, food is nothing special when we arrived the food was already sitting out in the igloo, the cheese board tasted like it had been sitting out meat was rubbery and so was the cheese. The drinks were the best part. The service is great but overall lacking anything special. The view is OK you can see the park lit up. Not worth the money, and to me not to Davenport standards and expectations.
There was a barely working tabletop heater, bluetooth speaker didn't work, they didn't have the first 2 wines we wanted. Beware the 18% tip that's included is on the entire igloo rental, not just the food/service. Do not recommend especially since many restaurants now have igloos trying to stay afloat and don't charge for them.
Lovely experience.. higher priced compared to some other igloos around town. The service and staff were very friendly and great.
Everything about our experience was great. I highly recommend it for any special occasion.
A great holiday tradition we will begin. It was so much fun.
