We throughly enjoyed our dining experience. There were no complaints in our group and some nice surprises like the scallops and filet. Our food reached the table fresh and cooked to perfection. We were impressed to say the least. Highly recommend.
This was our second trip to The Grand Taverne. Who couldn't love this place? It's historic, has great ambiance, great food and great staff.
Never disappointed. 😋 like the new decor. Hope they never get rid of the goat cheesecake.
We really enjoyed the meal, my husband loved the filet, I had the pork which was also outstanding.
The service was very good also, however they seated us next to the noisy bar, and to another couple, when there were many open tables. Also they had a grand piano in the dining room, but no pianist, surprising to us since it was a Friday evening. We would have really enjoyed that. It was our anniversary, it would have been nice if they would have asked if it was a special occasion.
Food was good but not what I would expect for the prices. It would make a better casual restaurant than fine dining. There were no other customers in the restaurant and there was a home office set up maybe 10 feet from our table where an employee was checking in hotel guests. Nothing about the operation felt professional or refined. The food was the saving grace of it, but if I'm driving to Eureka Springs and spending $80-100 on a meal (with no desserts, drinks, or appetizers), I expect more from the food.
We received a trip from our KIDS AND GRANDKIDS FOR OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY. WE CHOSE TO VISIT EUREKA SPRINGS TO SPECIALLY EAT AT THE GRAND TAVERN. WE HAD BEEN THERE SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND LOVED IT. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT THIS TIME. FOOD IS GREAT. SERVICE WAS SPOT ON. THANK YOU.
Local flavor was a very pleasant dining experience for my wife and I. We didn't have to wait on our table. We were seated right away. Service was very good. I ordered the grilled beef filet. It was cooked perfect. This steak was at least an inch thick, advertised as 8 ounces but I know it was bigger than that. It came with asparagus. I normally don't like asparagus but this was good. Excellent place to dine, casual or special occasion.
absolutely the best meal we have ever had bar none
Rarely eat this fancy, but made an anniversary reservation from out of town. Apparently they don't require business casual because several were in shorts; even one guy wearing a ballcap during dinner! Ordered $50 steaks. Could not cut into them; could not chew them. They were med/rare so should have been able to cut them w/ butter knife! Both steaks were full of gristle. Hubby's steak was so bad he had to chop it out like a pork chop. Mine was so bad I had to spit it out. Waiter was nice enough and they took half off, but it ruined our experience and anniv for sure. Extremely disappointed and will never recommend or go back.
Everything was as good this time as it was last spring when we were there. Thank you!
My only complaint is that you failed to not celebrate our anniversary with a small complimentary dessert.
Service and food were great, but thought since I had mentioned it with resvn and that night, you would do
something. I guess I had to pay for that. Bill Steben
Great Place.. Absolutely Loved It.. and Will definitely be back!! The Chef was AMAZING!!!
The food and service was outstanding. They have a very good selection of wines.
We were disappointed in the condition of the dining area. Green plastic covering on one wall and hole in wall where our table was . Tea was not offered sweetened , food was ok but overpriced. Would have liked to have had more down to earth menu options. As far as the waier he was prompt and served us well.
Food was delicious, service was above average, ambience ok, a little over priced.
The food was excellent, the service impeccable and the ambiance was perfect.
I’ve been on 10 cruises I’ve been over half the United States I love gourmet food and sampling new food all the time this is the most etiquette restaurant and has the best all-around food That I have ever eaten it is a restaurant everyone needs to check out at least once
Special was Chicken Parmesan and wow!!! It was amazing!’ So delightful.
Of course my husband got his normal, the Big Steak and as usual it was perfect!
What a great place!! We love coming here!
Currently they are doing some remodel work, but it is not distracting from the experience.
Excellent food and fabulous service from mark !!
5 star all he way p
Have eaten there many times and the food and service are always excellent. Have recommended this restaurant to many people over the years.
We had a fabulous dinner in a wonderful atmosphere.
Expectations were to high, sad, there were a total of six patrons in the restaurant, and one poor guitarist and singer.
The warm sourdough bread was the best part of dinner, the Walleye plate was very disappointing,
The Open table pictures, etc, were quite misleading.
We had an evening meal there while on a getaway trip to Eureka Springs Arkansas. The meal was exceptionally well repair and would feel like music and quiet atmosphere it was a special place for a final meal hartranft.
More of a formal setting with causal attire appropriate. Waiter was excellent
This was a very classy restaurant. Excellent food and service. We went the night they had live music. Very impressed.
Our favorite restaurant in Eureka Springs! Wonderfully talented chef, who is also very personable. The live music is always so nice, but not so loud that you can't carry on a conversation!
This went far beyond our expectations!! Will definitely go back next time we’re in Eureka Springs. The food was AWESOME!!
Excellent service and food! We were a group of 6; 3 of us had the scallops, 3 had the red lentil crusted cod. Both delicious!
My sisters and I really enjoyed our evening here. The food is amazing. There was live music which really added to the whole experience. I have eaten here a few times before, its always beautiful food. Staff are wonderful.
The new seating arrangement allowed us to sit in a nice spot in the front window—always a plus in ES so sights can be seen. We ate on a weeknight, so it was quiet and laid back. Scott was our server, and he was attentive and helpful in wine selection. Our meal was perfectly cooked, and the dessert (goat cheese cheesecake!) was heavenly. As part time locals, we’ve found a new favorite weeknight high end restaurant!
Very nice and friendly service. Food was excellent.
Great as always
We had a very pleasant dining experience at the Grand Taverne in Eureka Springs. This was intended to be one of our fine dining experiences on a May-2018 vacation to NW Arkansas. We were not disappointed. Decor was classic with a relaxed and comfortable ambiance. Waiter was attentive and very helpful without being bossy. Had an amazing pan seared scallop appetizer on his recommendation. Menu was interesting and creative. We had the red-lentil encrusted fried walleye and the "Arkansas Ribeye" pork chop. All food hot and fresh, with great flavors and well matched side dishes. Food came quickly possibly due to our week night seating. Dessert menu was short but well balanced. We had the goat cheese cheesecake and a chocolate fudge with ice cream dish ... wonderful. Not a wine connoisseur but I was very pleased with the Merlot I ordered. Go to the trouble to find Grand Taverne in Eureka Springs!
An absolutely wonderful meal in a beautiful, old hotel in downtown Eureka Springs. We were truly surprised at the quality of the food and service. We had the filet which was cooked just right and plated with really good potatoesw and some fresh vegetables. The bread was clearly homemade and really added to the already great meal.
Pricy for the meal, décor was seriously dated. I get the homey antiquey feel, but the price reflected a higher end place.
Service was homey, friendly, but hard to overcome the décor experience and the office desk two tables away at the end of the dining room with the guy playing solitaire.
We found it to be loud and we had difficulty talking. The live entertainment was too loud.
Wonderful service. Seared tuna was the special and it was fantastic.
My wife and I have been there twice. Once last fall and this April. Fall had no live music. Great food,I suggest the scallops. Rather quiet and subdued that night. This April had live music, piano and guitar with harmonica. Comfy 60-70’s rock. Pork praline was good with my wife,I had talapia, very good. No dessert other than special martinis for us. Was told of change of ownership between visits. Highly recommend for intimate semi-formal dining
My third time here after accidentally finding it on a day trip to Eureka. The service is extraordinary, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is quaint and unique. I plan on staying at the hotel and utilizing the spa the next time I go to Eureka. I highly recommend this place. The live music in the lobby is always just right.
Good prime rib, consistently good service in intimate atmosphere. We always dine here when in Eureka Springs.
