We had a wonderful time celebrating two birthdays. They had reserved a table for six during a busy time. We had good, attentive service. All together a great time.
Great place to meet family and friends. Good food, great variety, excellent service. We love Grand Street!
Our Waitress was SUPER with a Great personality!
Got there at 9pm with a reservation from OpenTable. Person who greeted us said the restaurant was closed, but actually it was the kitchen that closed at 9pm (oops). Perhaps this restaurant should not be offering 9pm reservations? Anyway they let us in, we ordered right away, the food was good, especially the carrot cake dessert. I had a filet that was delicious. My spouse had the salmon, also good. Waiter Jorge was excellent. Decor is modern and pleasant.
We really enjoyed our experience here! The food and atmosphere were both outstanding. The service was exceptional! Not only did Sharon take great care of us, one of the owners took the time to visit with us as well. We were very impressed with the attention to detail at this restaurant. Not only was the food is fabulous, everyone on staff was super kind! We wish we had a restaurant like this in our hometown.
The waitress was terrific!
We had reservations for 2 and at the last minute, some out of town ended up joining us. Grand Street was very flexible in expanding our reservation up to accommodate the party of 5. We so appreciated it.
Great lunch spot on the Plaza with guaranteed parking, great service and fantastic food! Always have a man ahi tuna salad or
I brought my team here for our monthly lunch meeting. Food was excellent and the service was great!
Another great meal at Grand Street. Great service from Michael, excellent food.
We had a party of four - each couple shared an appetizer (tuna tartare & mushroom/cheddar spring rolls) allexcellent. for entrees, one couple shared Garganelli, another had Pappardelle, & the 4th had the Pappardelle special that night. All excellent!
We went on Thursday, which is half-price wine (under $50), which we availed ourselves of. Very good wine selection.
Really excellent in all aspects! Also really convenient location on the Plaza and a great parking lot made it all a nice pleasurable outing!
This has always been one of our favorite restaurants since it opened. Have lots of wonderful memories of meals with family and friends. Very special!
Fabulous food and service
Our lunch, for six of us, was a farewell get-together for one of our group. The guest of honor remembered the time incorrectly so was a half hour late, but our waitress was very patient and understanding and did a wonderful job. The food was excellent, too. We had a very enjoyable time.
Good food and excellent service.
I planned this gathering for a group of college friends. Some had never been and really enjoyed.
Food was delicious and service was above reproach! Our server Sharon was absolutely beyond amazing. Did all kinds of little things that we didn't even know we're possible. She anticipated our needs and was absolutely perfect.
A bit hard to locate for the first time, but a lovely restaurant with amazing food!!
Hosting friends in town from East Coast, thought Grand St. was good fit for Friday evening. Appetizers were great, deviled eggs and spring rolls for our table. Service was adequate not pushy or hurried, had a waiter switch before first round of drinks was delivered. Seems that starting fresh w new waiter could have been better executed. Never felt rushed to turn table, allowed us to catch up on conversation. Water glasses and drinks were kept full, meals were delivered to table together, presentations of plates were good. Biggest problem occurred w the short rib pastrami. Have had the pastrami skillet at brunch and felt it was a standout meal, assumed dinner option had same potential. Unfortunately, what arrived was a fantastic supporting cast of jus, asparagus, sweet potato, pumpernickel crisps and mustard holding a piece of fat disguised as short rib. The piece of short rib should have never made it to a plate. There was barely a discernible piece of meat in the chunk of fat on my plate. I realize short rib is a desirable cut because of its marbled fattiness, however this particular piece lacked any protein to cut the gelatinous fat. I expect the quality control of a kitchen like Grand St. to prevent this. I would have sent it back, but wanted to save face in front of my out of town guests, not to mention I kept expecting to get to the meat, until it was too late and I realized there was none. Will I go back? Not sure, I live on a tight budget and throwing $140 at dinner w this kind of risk isn't really my thing. I hope this was a one off deal, rather than a classless move to get rid of stock out of the fridge on a Friday night.
Everything was great. Will be back.
Ethan was the best! He gave us exactly the right amount of service and did not be overly attentive interrupting us. Very good waiter.
My experience at Grand Street was great! My girlfriend and I booked it last minute for Valentine's Day with no previous experience with the restaurant and we were very impressed. The service, particularly our waiter, was phenomenal and our food was served very quickly. The atmosphere was ideal for an intimate dinner. I would definitely recommend.
Very good meal and the service was excellent as always.
Great place to take yo girl
Great food and server as usual
Steve was our server and he was exceptional. Joe, the manager was also extremely friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Excellent experience.
The food was great, as always! It’s been a while since I have been to the Plaza location. The service by Steve was excellent. He was attentive and engaged. I will definitely be back and request Steve! My daughter (who is 12) was highly of entertained by him as well; he made her laugh! Thanks Grand Street!
Dine here about once a month. Dishes usually quite delicious. I should not have selected spaghetti & meatballs at a non-Italian restaurant. Could barely cut meatballs.
The shrimp and grits recipe has either changed or maybe a different chef is preparing it??? Not sure....it used to be Spicey...:(
Our waiter, Steven , was great....very interactive and informative. Diner was great. Salmon special was great, as were two of the pasta entrees.
Nice, comfortable atmosphere.
Great. Quaint and well done.
A co worker’s birthday luncheon was the most recent adventure to this treasure of the Plaza. The team at Grand Street was accommodating and respectful of the event. We were not singled out or embarrassed by a communal rendition of the Birthday song. Very interactive and attentive waiter. If you have a private occasion and need a place to celebrate this should be on your list of options.
Love the Bill's Chicken Salad. Nice atmosphere. Always professional and friendly staff.
I've eaten often at Grand Street for lunch and happy hour twice and for events. Was great to see my lunch time favorites were on the dinner menu and at the same price! My Mother does not eat out frequently, she told me this was the Best place that we've taken her. That says a lot about your restaurant. We now have a place we can take her and know she will be willing to go for a meal
My husband and I always enjoy dining at the Grand Street Cafe. We dined with friends of ours. Food and service was great as usual. It is nice not to be rushed to take an order. Given time to relax with a cocktail before deciding on appetizers and entrees. We will be back again.
Nice waitperson who provided great service.
They were none too pleased with the mess our baby made, FYI for this with small children.
Menu is somewhat unusual but the food is prepared well and tastes great. Ambience is very good and amenable to quiet conversation. Service was attentive to our needs without being overbearing. Entree pricing was fair for the quality of food provided. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The wine selection was good and well priced - with something for all palates. The menu was well balanced and easy to follow. The description of the night's special was soft, but interesting. It turned out to be spectacular and a highlight of the evening. The noise level was low enough to have a conversation without straining to hear or talk. Servers were not consistently readily available but very attentive when at the table. We will enjoy several more trips to this restaurant.
We were six ladies....great food, super service, but very, very noisy. Hard to hear and talk at a rectangle table when noise level was so high.
