Everything was good~ excellent service and food!
The staff were all extremely busy and handled everything pretty well. I believe they may have been understaffed, but everyone was helpful, accommodating and cheerful! All the food was delicious for their Easter Three Course Meal. Thank you for making our Easter family meal so enjoyable.... We love this place!!
I’ve always loved Grand Street Cafe. However, for Easter brunch, seemed to maybe have a lot of temp employees, food varied, service as well. Pretty crowded.
I would still go back, just not for holidays.
We arrived about 15 minutes early for our Easter brunch reservation but were seated immediately. Our waitress brought water quickly and took our initial beverage order while we perused the menu to decide our meal orders.
The menu was a three-course prix-fixe for the brunch, but it was difficult to decide between the tempting menu choices. I ordered the butter lettuce salad, prime rib with mushroom scrambled eggs accompanied by twice fried potatoes, and cinnamon roll apple bread pudding for my dessert. The prime rib was a thick cut and the best tasting I’ve ever had at any restaurant. A friend ordered the halibut eggs Benedict and he said it was also delicious.
Though the restaurant was very busy, the wait staff was very attentive, our water glasses were never empty and additional beverages filled on request.
We will definitely go back again!
The Halibut was cooked perfectly, and the expresso mousse was outstanding.
Great to eat out again. Sat in the courtyard. Great night out.
Server talked more with all of her tables except us . Wasn’t really happy.
I asked for a straw, never bothered to bring me one. I never asked him again, but shouldn’t of had to. Other than that, it was a pleasant evening.
If you're keto or low carb, this is not the place for you. Removing a side usually lends itself to suggestion of another, but not in this case. If you need to remove a side, oh well, that's just one less thing to eat, I guess.
Also, we only saw our server when it was time to order and then time to pay. No check-up, no refills, nothing. For a $100 meal, that was an experience we'll never repeat.
Excellent food, but the smoke from the kitchen (poor exhaust) was overwhelming to the point of making our eyes water.
Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere!
Stumbled upon this place by accident. It is definitely a hidden gem. The food and service was amazing. I had the filet and my date had the salmon. Both dishes were prepared perfectly.
Great food and service! We both left quite full! Cocktails were average.
This place was amazing from the door to my seat, staff was very welcoming. Service and food great!!
always a great treat to dine at grand street. bill's salad is fantastic
Went for lunch with a friend. It was a lovely day and we sat out on the patio and enjoyed the sunshine. Great service!
Always a favorite. Good food and a nice variety. Excellent wait staff.
Grand Street has always had a fantastic menu and the ambiance is fantastic. I ordered the salmon with cacio e Pepe risotto and asparagus, and wow! It was so so delicious. The salmon was prepared perfectly. I have to say though, our server was inattentive, and when he was, he was somewhat curt to the point it was rude. Prior to taking our order, he rattled off everything they were out of before even saying the specials. That was odd. He had an unkempt beard that almost seemed like a hygiene issue, and at the end of the evening, he dropped off our check. We did not see him again for at least 30 minutes, and the restaurant had cleared. We had to find another employee to find him because we really wanted to pay so we could leave.
This is pretty inconsistent with any other experience I have had at this amazing restaurant. I think the management and ownership should know, and I am sure they will set higher expectations.
Great-looking place, great service, and most importantly, great food! My wife and I went for a late Valentine's Day celebration, due to getting COVID and not being able to go anywhere on actual Valentine's day. I definitely recommend, to anyone looking for great food and atmosphere on a date with your special one.
Dinner was good, however, no Covid safety precautions inside dining. Tables were seated all next to each other with no space. There is outside dining available which is a good alternative.
The food was good and portions were appropriate. Service was a little so-so. Waitress forgot to put in our appetizer and brought out one entree after the others. Staff was friendly and apologetic but could have been better for what we paid.
Experience was great. Thank you for everything
This is a KC hidden gem and I'm glad I know about it! The food is always outstanding and the ambiance and staff are five stars.
Great social distancing place. Limited menu, more café than restaurant. Nice happy hour till 6PM.
I would title this 'ambivalent'. The server was only moderately interested in taking care of us, as well as brought us the bill and we had to ask about dessert. The bar filled up fairly quickly making any social distancing inadequate as you had to walk through that unmasked area for the restrooms or the exit. The food was not as expected (other than the brussels sprouts). It had been on our restaurant rotation list, but now make come off for awhile.
Restaurant was very hot, but other than that the food was amazing
Celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday and had a wonderful experience. Grand Street is a staple for us. Only thing to mention that wasn’t 5 star was that the restaurant was rather smokey throughout the meal, seemed as though the exhaust from the grill possibly was not functioning. Otherwise everything was incredible and will absolutely return soon!
Went here for Valentine’s Day and we loved our waiter and the food was outstanding!!
Looking for class, here is the place. Don't let the outside fool you, its quite nice and the food is great.
Great food and service on Valentine’s Day.
Great time, our server Doug was very professional. Service was greatly appreciated!
My husband and I spent went for Valentine's Day. The setup was romantic! Loved, the lighting and decor. I really enjoyed the special menu they had for Valentine's Day. Looking forward to visiting again.
Valentines Day eve dinner. The restaurant was full - unlike most restaurants during this time, their "social distancing" of tables was not like most other restaurants (i.e. every other table/booth). Lastly, the food came out really fast. Each course was on top of the other, so we felt really rushed. Our Valentine dinner lasted just 40 min - that's with drinks beforehand as well as a dessert. Food was not well prepared. My chicken was slightly over-cooked. My wife was not thrilled with her Chicken Pecatta either.
Food was cold, was served the wrong dessert, waitress dropped an entire tray of glasses immediately behind me. My wife wanted the squash to accompany trout and was told they "didn't have any."
GREAT setting to celebrate Valentines Day!!
Tasty food in a nice restaurant at a reasonable price (for fine dining). Great service. I had the trout. My wife had filet mignon. Appetizer was the deviled eggs. Desert was a chocolate-filled filo dough with vanilla ice cream. All courses were excellent!
It was wonderful & warm! We had our kids and they Very happy with their food too!
Food, service, and pricing all great! Can't beat half priced bottles of wine on Thursday's!
Great setting for a nice dinner. Grand Street always delivers a great dining experience.
Food was absolutely fantastic. The service beyond fantastic. Highly recommend, even during COVID.👍🏼
