This is my go to restaurant anywhere to meet friends and family for lunch and dinner, or evening on the Plaza with my husband. The servers are always wonderful. The food is always exquisite. It’s quiet. I like to sit inside. This visit was as great as it always is.
Nice patio but none of the food had any seasoning it was very bland I ordered a filet medium and it came out rare the server didn’t offer to take off the bill or have cooked to medium she just said she was sorry and walked away she came back with the ticket and left it on the table and left. I didn’t take one bite of my meal.
We had a very thoughtful server.
An old favorite. Reliably great service and good food.
Our server was the sweetest girl, she regularly checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and absolutely worth the money, especially the white cheddar fondue with the pretzels.
Grand Street consistently has excellent food and service.
Everything was great! I only wish the Bloody Mary was bigger, but that’s because I could drink a gallon of it.
Wonderful Sunday Brunch! Couldn’t have been any better! Great ambiance, food, drink, and staff made it the perfect place to celebrate the end of pandemic isolation!
This is our second time here and it was rather disappointing since we had enjoyed our first time here. The pork chop was nothing like the first time. It didn’t sit well with my wife which made her go to the restroom. I on the other hand had the chicken piccata but it wasn’t anything special at least not for the value. Based on these events, there most likely won’t be a third visit which is sad because, again, our first time was great.
We were seated immediately at 1230 on a Friday. . Our waiter was very attentive and seemed to easily take care of our needs. The food was very good and good portions. We were able to have a regular conversation even though the restaurant was full. Prices were very fair. I recommend this restaurant.
The patio was nicely shaded with a slight breeze which was perfect, 85 degrees felt like 75. Great service, great happy hour food + drinks.
it was a bit loud but the food is always good. we would return
The ladies bathroom needs more attention. When I first arrived there were no paper towels and I overheard a guest telling the hostess that she had previously told someone the ladies bathroom needed paper towels and it did not happen. After dinner which was delicious, I and my friend went to the ladies bathroom and it had the most unbearable fishy, shrimp smell. it was REALLY bad, it may have been coming from the kitchen but it stunk horribly.
Also I prefer the previous sour dough bread that you used to serve, hot, moist inside and crispy crust and it was complimentary, now the bread is $6. and not as good. I have been coming to your restaurant since 1995 and have even held some private events at your restaurant. I will continue to come back but maybe not use the restroom.
Absolutely delicious! Great service from Charlotte. We sat outside on a Saturday morning in the shade, with a beautiful breeze. We were able to take our time and enjoy a nice leisurely brunch. Food was amazing with perfect portions. Highly recommend this spot!
We went for dinner and had great food and service. We had outside seating nice and shaded.
Welcoming outdoor patio eating with adequate spacing that worked well for a business lunch. The special was a a salmon cakes on vegetable slaw that was tasty and unique.
Amazing place! Amazing food and the people are so nice.
First time out to lunch since the pandemic. It was great to be back! Our server was Michael and he's fantastic!
An outstanding dining experience, our first visit to the restaurant since moving back to the area last June. Hope to return soon.
First time here. Won't be the last. The food and service on this night were phenomenal. I had the special which was a filet over smashed potatoes and a crab claw. Can't remember much else about it except for it was gone. Caught myself looking around to see if anyone would notice me licking the plate. Oh yeah. Asparagus was very good. My wife had the pork chop and liked it but wasn't quite as impressed as I was. Followed dinner with an apple pie and creme brulee which both were very good.
We had a great evening the food was excellent and our server Nathan was awesome. Chef Bobby Stearns visited our totally awesome. Totally recommend this restaurant for any occasion. We will definitely be back.
For our first dinner out with friends post Covid - I was surprised at how close all the tables were together, it was very busy, and therefore pretty noisy - but we still really enjoyed it
What a disappointment. I just returned to Kansas City after many year away and Grand Street Cafe used t be one of my favorite restaurants in town. The prime rib tacos seemed to be made with small cubes of very chewy round steak. The risotto with the salmon was flavorless. The server forgot our wine order until it was too late.
Great salmon salad. Excellent service—I’ll ask for Steven by name next time I come in!
Love the vibe - fun and creative.
Food was excellent. Noisy adjoining table. Staff seemed stretched.
Should not book reservations when short staffed. Waited forever for service. Menu average. Not planning on going back. Server was apologetic and they were fair on reducing the price
I had never been to this place before and went on a date. It’s extremely nice looking inside and very inviting. The food was also amazing and our server was super fun! I had a good time
The restaurant was clean and well-kept. Service staff were friendly and approachable. My only complaint is that we waited 15 minutes before our sever noticed we were seated in their section.
Had high hopes but pretty disappointed. Came for the chicken piccata but learned it was sold out by 730pm. Unfortunately, the entrees we did order were mediocre and not worthy of a $30 bill. The cocktails were poorly made.
That being said, the place is beautiful and the server was kind and attentive. Perhaps it was an off night? Sadly, we will not return.
Always great time!!!
We had a reservation for Friday night and arrived early checked in with the hostess but told her we would sit at the bar and have a cocktail til it was closer to our reservation time. When we were ready to be seated we notified the hostess. Once seated, it took a few minutes for a server to greet us but as soon as she did we put in our order for an appetizer and our meals. The appetizer, deviled eggs, came out and we had to ask for small plates and some water from that server. My husband ordered the pork chop and he said it was excellent. I ordered the prime rib tacos for my meal. The prime rib meat was tiny nuggets of meat so small you wouldn’t have known what kind of meat it was. I was disappointed in my meal, I was disappointed in our server for not being very attentive. I believe someone in management must have noticed us sitting in the corner and saw our empty drinks and asked if we would like another drink and offered them to us complimentary.
Thank you to the gentleman at Grand Street for noticing us and making things better!
If you're trying to raise you cholesterol levels, this is the place. Almost every dish was laden with dairy products--cream, butter, cheese. Most good restaurants these days have a couple of items for those who want to eat healthier. I wound up with a pasta dish that tasted like a bottle of tomato sauce poured over a big pile of noodles. I was really disappointed as I had dined there in the (distant) past.
It was very loud and packed for a Mother’s Day brunch. We could hardly hear each other talking from across the same little booth. Our server was extremely nice, and the food was delicious. Just wish it wouldn’t of been so loud and crowded.
We went for Mother’s Day. I booked a reservation not realizing there was a set menu. I’m normally a very classic breakfast person (think pancakes or French toast) but this set menu had none of that. It was AMAZING food, though. I was pushed out of my comfort zone and enjoyed every single course! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Stephen was tied up serving a prom party, so we had Susan which we liked very much. She was a bit under the gun taking care of her tables, yet she did not forget us.
Susan will be a good addition to your waitstaff.
Crab cakes coming bk on the menu soon?
Thank you GStreet.
More crowded than we expected but we still felt safely isolated from neighbors; excellent luncheon food (especially the bread!)
Great night on the patio at Grand Street! Honeysuckle blooming nearby added a gorgeous scent to the air. Relaxing and delicious experience!
Great food, great service and wonderful food. I would recommend highly.
