While Grand Mongolian Pot features an advisory menu on how to add vegetables and meat to the hot broth, I thought they could've done a better job guiding customers who are new to the experience. If they'd feature a menu with options based on the party's size, it would help. The meat was very tough as we pulled it out of the broth and we had to discard it. I don't think I'll go to another hot pot again based on this experience.

Service was very inattentive. We did wait a long time for someone to even give us menus. I made eye contact with far too many staff many staff members for them to just keep walking. I HATE having to call out to people in a restaurant saying, “excuse me” because it’s rude to the rest of the customer and to that staff member. Food was good and price was fair. May go to a different spot, but fun experience of a hot pot…just not this location. Too bad, it was cute.

Food was good. Service was ok. Our table had planned on ordering more food, instead our server just dropped off the check and ran away before could even say anything assuming we were finished. She then proceeded to basically stalk our table waiting for us to pay. I would understand if the place was busy but there were plenty of open tables available.

Food was great. Service was mediocre. We arrived for dinner around 5:30 and it was before the rush. We asked for assistance multiple times because we weren’t waited on.

My family and I enjoyed the interaction with our meal. We got the meat plate, shrimp and the vegetables we wanted. Chose the bone broth and we ate everything. The pot stickers were also delicious. The staff show customers how the do hot pot if not done before. A variety of ways to cook your soup, dipping sauces, broths, proteins and vegetables and noodles, rice. Something for everyone- carnivores, vegans and everyone in between. Good for couples and families and groups. Would go again.

The food and experience was fantastic. We went there with two teenagers and they loved it. You do make your own soup at the table so you can customize and be interactive. It makes for a fun evening with delicious food. The staff and the owner were great, checking on us a good amount but not overbearing. They were very helpful in explaining the process.

Neat concept and fun to go with my family. Nice ambiance, tasty food. Only complaint is that you need to be prepared to wait, very slow service. Nice people but may need more help.

We ate outside and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The rolled ice cream was amazing for dessert.

We had a wonderful time experiencing hot pot and it won't be our last! Our server was very helpful in explaining how much to order. We filled out an order form with what we wanted to try: half original half spicy broth, the Mongolian dumplings and Asian wheat noodle which are both made in house, Udon noodles, combo meat platter, meatballs, shrimp, oyster mushrooms, veggie combo platter and each of the dipping sauces. This amount was perfect for 5 of us, with the staff indicating we could always order more during the meal if needed.

All the ingredients come raw and thinly sliced to be cooked in the steaming broth in the center of the table. The staff was helpful in giving us a quick overview of how to get started and some general cook times. We really enjoyed the dumplings, meatballs, beef and veggies the most, but everything was good and the broth became more flavorful as the meal progressed.

The food came fast after we figured out what to try and our broth was refilled during our meal. We stayed about 2 hours, so it wasn't a fast in and out if that's what you're looking for. It's also byob so that was a plus! It was a fun interactive dinner to bring a group which allowed us to try more items from the menu. A fun and tasty addition to Park Ridge!

Good experience except they were out of a couple of food items we wanted to add to our hot pot (fresh shrimp and veggie noodles) we had to call waitress over to lower the heat because bottom of hotpot started burning. I was later informed by a different customer that we should have received a remote control to regulate the heat. All in all it was a fun experience and we will be returning.

Valentine’s Day. First time having Hot Pot. Being a new restaurant it was a bit chaotic in terms of service but the food is wonderful! We’re looking forward to going back. A great new edition for Park Ridge.
