A few comments from our table... ~I felt they were very professional and courteous to our needs. I would like to return. ~Agreed and I would like to add my appreciation for providing the disposable gloves! ~Delicious food, champagne and outstanding service with a smile. The grounds to the Mansion and the Mansion itself were beautifully maintained and added to the overall pleasant ambience. Just a couple of things that deserve immediate attention - The flies we constantly had to swat away from our food (from the buffet area and at our table). And perhaps hire an employee for the regular upkeep and cleanliness of the bathrooms. Take care of those two items and you'll have the perfect Sunday Champagne Brunch!

Food was good, mansion is beautiful and having access to rooms makes it very interesting. Staff was very nice and attentive. Too much people and buffet setting is a little too far from eating area. We enjoyed our brunch anyway.

The reservation lady was so accommodating - I was able to add two more in my guests. Since we celebrated our birthdays, the restaurant crew sang happy birthday - it was really fun! I love the ambience and overall it was a great experience!

We made reservations for our anniversary. As soon as we pulled up to the property, we were taken in by the beautiful grounds, trees, fountain and the gorgeous buildings. We were early and were seated right away in a private alcove overlooking the pool. The brunch is served buffet style and we loved everything from the prime rib to the freshly baked breads, salad with pear dressing, seafood pasta and full dessert bar. We ordered coffee but mimosas were readily available. Servers were very attentive and replaced our plates and silverware before we returned to our seats at each trip to the buffet. Afterward, we were told to explore the grounds and even the rooms upstairs. I would’ve liked to have been given a tour to learn more of the history. Maybe they will add that service sometime? I can imagine it is a wonderful wedding venue, and there were many photo albums to look at. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and I highly recommend attending brunch here. Would make a great place for groups to attend together, families, or couples.

Service was excellent. Ambience was beautiful. Noise was a little louder than expected however it was a large room with many people. Sunday brunch without bacon and sausage for myself seemed missing something. Also missed salmon. What was available was very good.

You have to book the reservation FAR in advance. We booked for July 30th about 2 months ago, maybe 3 for a party of 5. Nice option for a Sunday brunch. We arrived on time but it still took about 10-15 minutes be seated. It gave us time to look around a bit at the nice decor. Waiter/waitress refilled our drinks fast. It came with unlimited mimosas. Waitress told us it was time for dessert when we still wanted to go back for more prime rib. It was buffet style and I understand we had a time limit but I don’t think that was necessary. What if we had dessert first? Best dish was the seafood pasta but it was bummer when I went back for seconds on it, there were no seafood left in the pasta (shrimp and scallops). The tray was still a third full so wasn’t sure if someone just stood there picking out all the seafood meat?

We had been wanting to go for brunch at Grand Island for years. Hands down a beautiful estate. Service was top notch and so friendly from the time we stepped through the door until we left. The food was a big disappointment. Eggs Benedict sauce was just blah and seemed stale as if it had been in the pan too long. The seafood pasta was tasty but finding the actual seafood was a trick. The frittata was good and grilled vegetables were ok. The Italian Toast was French Toast with a few sliced almonds scattered on it. Not sure why the roast beef was served, nothing to go with it. A nice ham, sausage or bacon would have complemented the rest of the brunch better. The menu just seemed very scattered and the quality was not the best. Dessert had many choices and what I had was ok. The chocolate covered strawberries were delicious! All in all we enjoyed the experience due to staff and the beauty of the estate but won’t be going back.

What a beautiful place! From the moment you walk through the front door you are taken back in time. Every room is superbly decorated and accessible to tour. And the grounds…outstanding! The brunch was very good, endless mimosas and very attentive waitstaff. Can’t recommend this place enough!

the buffet wasn't a big one for the cost of 49.99. it's a rip off for people that usually only go for food once. No bacon, or sausage and this is a brunch which should be offered. Never will we go again.

It was a beautiful ride on the Delta. You come to this beautiful mansion it’s just breathtaking.. you walk onto the grounds. You’re just an off and then you walk inside and it’s absolutely beautiful. The food is absolutely delicious actually beyond delicious, it’s a wonderful experience. I think everybody should go there at least once :)

Came to this Mansion for a friends wedding and knew I wanted to go back. I was finally able to reserve (since it’s always booked). I brought a party of 6 for Father’s Day. They loved it! Will definitely go back and hopefully this time they’ll serve the chicken :)

There was much friendliness from the associates! Food was good, but thought they could have had a little more variety i.e. cold cuts, at least 2 choices of meat, turkey, ham. Otherwise very good. Had a good time and must commend this type of brunch with ambience and a beautiful setting! Hard to find this type of brunch anymore and is getting scarce.

Beautifully served, well priced brunch fare was absolutely delicious. Gorgeous setting in the country along the river, not far from Clarksburg. Note: reservations can be a challenge, so be attentive!

Not sure what energetic means for noise level. I thought the music was a little loud and maybe the noise of people's conversations was a little loud, but not real bad. It is a very nice experience. I'm disappointed they had to raise the price from $40 to $50 but because of all the pluses it is worth it.

Brunch at the Grand Island Mansion is something that most people will do once or perhaps twice in their lifetime. Reservations are difficult to get, and face it, the mansion isn't easily accessible...nor is it meant to be. The reason that brunch at the mansion is so memorable is that you have to put some effort into making it happen. This was my fifth time, going back quite a number of years. This time I went by boat...up Steamboat Slough with seven of my grandchildren and a few of their spouses. Many of them had never seen the mansion before, and their faces as they first viewed it as we came across the road from the dock, said "why is this here?" We were seated in the main dining room...magic. Then the meal...even more magic. The staff was magic...the entire day was magic. Giving this day to my grandchildren took some planning and effort, and the memories will live for years. Thank you to The Grand Island Mansion owners and staff. Thank you Matt and our other server who's name I don't remember.
