Grand Island Mansion
Everything was perfect. Food was amazing. Decor very inviting and the outside landscaping was unbelievable for pictures.
Absolutely amazing!!! I cannot wait to have my wedding there in May of 2020!! It’ll be so much fun!!
Grounds & mansion itself are beautiful. Service was excellent. For the price of the brunch, however, an omelette bar would be a nice touch, especially for those of us that don’t eat meat or heavy sauces. Overall, a great experience.
The servers make u feel like royalty.
The mansion is well worth seeing after u have enjoyed a wonderful brunch of all u can eat and drink
My bestie and I went to the Saturday brunch for a ladies day out. We had so much fun. Staff was outstanding very accommodating and very friendly. Peter was amazing! Best mimosas!!! Brunch buffet was delicious. I am vegetarian and there were some great vegetarian options for me. After ward we explored the mansion which had some great views and instagrammy backgrounds for selfies. 10/10 I would definitely recommend. I can’t wait to come back!!! Excellent food excellent service excellent venue reasonably priced.
We went here for the Saturday brunch and the food and people were amazing. Everyone was so nice and helpful. My fiancé and I loved this place so much we decided to have our wedding here.
I picked the Grand Island Mansion to celebrate my 60th Birthday with family and friends because of its ambiance, location and reviews. Everyone in my party was extremely pleased with the entire experience and because of that will highly recommend it!
We found the travel there was pleasant, plenty of parking even though it seemed busy. We were greeted by a friendly host who found our reservation promptly, and were seated at our table within minutes. Our drinks were filled consistently and all of our servers were great, the food was great quality and freshly made. Would love to go again!
We loved being at Grand Mansion last Sunday. The only thing I would add is more vegetarian dishes, i.e. scrambled eggs either plain or with veggies! Also, the coffee service was a little sparce! However, other than that it was a VERY delicious and enjoyable time! Thank you!!
Thanksgiving get together
It was my first time there, however I was not very impressed with the food ! Was ver basic !
This was our first visit; however it won't be our last. We really enjoyed our breakfast and visit to the mansion.
We had a wonderful experience at the Grand Isle Mansion brunch. The mansion is beautiful. We were seated immediately and our servers, Matt and Hilda were attentive, but not iintrusive, throughout our meal. The buffet selections were impressive and oh so delish. We will surely being returning.
GIM is very classic, unique and beautiful place. I will recommend the place to my friend. However the reception staff is not polite, did not greet us when we arrived and lack customer service courtesy. She treated us like we don't deserve to be there. With the price per guests, we expect a more courteous and happy welcome when we arrived at the door. The waiters are professional and nice.
I would recommend for the experience. Food is okay
This was my second time to Grand Island Mansion and I'm already looking forward to my next visit this Christmas season. I brought my brother so I could share the experience with him and he felt the same way I did. It was a wonderful experience for us and brought back so many memories of similar brunches our family had gone to when we were growing up. It's so hard to find a quality buffet brunch anymore as others cut back on food cost or produce a lower quality experience.
So, I'm looking forward to coming back in a few weeks for the holiday buffet again this year, and then schedule a time I can bring my mother. Now, my brother is already planning on bringing his family so they can experience it as well.
Now, it's not "right around the corner" for either of us, but we both felt the drive was worth it and was nice to get out for an old fashioned Sunday drive and brunch kind of day!
This is my 3rd visit and I have another reservation scheduled for January. I want all my friends an family to experience the Grand Island Mansion!
Everything was prefect!, can’t wait to come back, Thank you
We love it! The grounds are beautiful the staff is very accommodating and polite the food was delicious especially the desserts we would definitely recommend this!
We love the Grand Island Mansion and have been there several times. Did not think the food was as good as our prior visits.
Never a disappointment, always a crowd pleaser - this is a regular dining experience.
I would recommend that your small bathrooms be updated and cleaned.
way over priced for what it is, as far as food... could have way better food selections... like an actual omelette station, waffle/pancakes etc ...
great food; great service; fun atmosphere; beautiful setting
The Grand Island Mansion iwas a beautiful place when we got married there 18 years ago. It has only improved with time. The service & food has remained excellent.
It was my birthday and the staff treated me like a queen. The good was delicious. I recommend people try at least once.
The best brunch in Sacramento County. This is a very fun experience, in a the unique setting.
Group of friends get-together
Beautiful venue and such a perfect Sunday Brunch. We enjoyed the gardens, the food and the professional, friendly staff. We also thought it was good value moneywise
The food was very good as it always has been. The service was also very good but could have been more attentive, refills came a little slower. Our guest enjoyed the experience although we had chosen the date due to the expectation that it was to be an open house day and we wanted our guest to see all of the rooms since they, like us, have daughters who may like to consider Grand Island as a wedding destination. Sadly, only the usual three rooms were available. They left very excited about the venue and the beauty of the mansion. We will return.
This was a birthday treat for a relative. Very enjoyable but food needs to be hotter
Pretty noisy for us, but lovely drive, gorgeous surroundings and good food. Service was terrific
Beautiful building and grounds. So nice to see it so well maintained. The food presentation, quality and selection was fabulous.
My wife and I have been here a few times. If you have never visited, it is an outstanding location for a Sunday brunch. A palatial mansion built in 1920, and very well kept up. A self guided tour is outstanding.
Now, to the brunch.. The cost of $39.95 is high; however, considering the ambiance, I would guess still a bit high. The most disappointing thing about the brunch, is the lack of many choices. No bagels, no smoked salmon, no different dishes. Egg dishes, prime rib and potatoes and a veggie. Many different desert choices...Etc...
The service is outstanding, pouring mimosas whenever your glass runs low and very attentive.
Wonderful experience! Beautiful venue and food was delish!
We were greeted by a lovely hostess and served by two wonderful servers. The food selection/menu wasn’t that great with burnt bacon and frittata instead of plain eggs. The salad was very plain and the overall food items just didn’t go together. We enjoyed the tour of the grounds and would definitely recommend at least a one time visit to our family, friends and colleagues. Thank you.
This was our 2nd visit and did not disappoint. Gorgeous grounds, friendly staff with good service and good food.
Let's not forget the lovely mimosas!
We would go back there again and certainly have recommended it to our friends.
I would recommends that on very busy days with large parties, there should be a 2nd person at the front check-in area, helping with seating the clients. There was a lot of congestion in the foyer and many people asked " so what do we do now?", because the hostess was busy in the dining room and gone for quite a while.
This is not a reflection on the hostess, she was very nice and did the best she could.
The mansion is beautiful, the buffet has a wonderful variety of dishes; and the staff are fantastic. Consider visiting during the holidays for great family photos!
This was a great selection for my birthday brunch--wonderful food, a table with a view to the pool, and the best servers I have encountered in a long time. Among the not-to-be-missed food selections are the frittata, eggs Benedict, the prime rib, and pretty much everything on the impressive dessert table (altho the creme brulee was my favorite).
