The food and drinks there are wonderful! The fish was delicious!! Our waiter was the greatest also, we really liked him. Highly recommend eating there!

While the ambiance is lovely at the Grand Concourse, the service we had Saturday night was abysmal. We had a 6pm reservation and were not served anything until 7:15pm. Our waiter was nice, but he was slow and unresponsive to requests. Some of our table really enjoyed their meals and others found them average, especially for the prices.

Once you get past the surly older lady at the hostess desk and get the table you reserved (requested months in advance and confirmed 3 days prior) to celebrate two teenage birthdays, everything was good. It was very disappointing to find out that we would be in the River Room because of a wedding in the beautiful main room (and not even allowed to take a picture on the steps!), but assured that we would have a lovely window table. We eventually got that but not without some uncomfortable moments.

Natalie, our server, was outstanding and really made the two teenagers feel very special. She was really the reason that our evening was great. And Lauren at coat check was delightful too!

The menu is standard seafood/steak fare with nothing exciting but our steaks were perfect and the potato croquettes, although they weren't pretty, were delicious. The just-turned-13 year-old, and a picky eater, could not find ANYTHING on the menu that she would eat so we begged for a kid's menu, which had a delicious hamburger and french fries for her. They loved their "Faux-jitos".

Their birthday desserts were banana creme brûlée which were really not very good but a nice touch. We also ordered a key lime pie, which was also just OK. Desserts could use a little work.

Poor service, unknowledgeable waitress, and food was bland. My soup was also cold. Very down hill from the last time we dined there

Everything was perfect. Our seater was fast, sweet and gave an amazing food recommendation at my request. Our waitress was amazing and went out of her way for us. The view was amazing! The building was so beautiful. Would go back in a heartbeat.

I took my daughter here for the first time for Sunday Brunch. She really enjoyed it. We had a waterfront view which was awesome. I cannot wait to take her here again. The food is so good and such a huge variety to choose from.

By far my favorite brunch spot in Pittsburgh! In addition to the buffet style there are stations for fresh omelettes, fresh donuts, bananas foster, waffles, and a carving station (turkey, roast beef, ham). Whenever having out of town company, I'm always sure to bring them here!

I left thinking the meal I had there, the seasonal scallops dish, was by far some of the best food I have ever eaten. I have a feeling I am going to dream about the butternut squash puree that was on my plate. I also tried the prime rib and it was melt in your mouth good and cooked perfectly. Plating could be a little better for the dish as a whole, but taste was spot on. There was a wedding going on in the main dining room, so we were moved to the river room. I wish I would have been told this is an every Saturday occurrence from basically September- January, but the River Room was beautiful as well. Overlooked the river and bridges and down on the city. I was able to peek into the main dining room through the Gandy Dancer bar area and see how nice it was. Our server was very polite and funny and genuinely seemed like he liked his job. All around, one of the best dining experiences I have had in quite some time. Price was spot on for the quality of the dishes. I look forward to going back and sitting in the main dining area.

I remember when this was the place to go for dinner or other special occasions.
Was not the same as my past experiences here.
Had reservation but they did not seat us on time. Seated other groups without reservation before us. Waited close to 45 minutes for our salads. Then took another 30 minutes for our main coarse. Had a wedding in the main dinning area so they had everyone in the river view room so it was very noisy. Food portions were much smaller then anticipated
Took close to three hours for dinner and was not worth the wait.

Very disappointed in our experience. Went there for my husband’s 40th birthday and father’s retirement celebration. The bar was way under staffed, it took 30 minutes to get a drink and never received my water I asked for with my drink. In order for us to even get drinks I️ had to go to the far side of the bar that we were not sitting at and ask them to deliver to the other side of the bar since it seemed that they were only serving one side. When we went to sat down, our table was one chair short. The waiter was nice but did not keep up with our drinks (there were times our water glasses were even bone dry, not to mention our Alcohol drinks as well)! My husband had to stop him and ask him for a round of drinks at one point since we were all sitting there with nothing to drink (which was our last)! He brought out a free dessert for my husband....then brought out a free dessert for my father...then asked everyone at the table if we wanted to see the dessert menu. Had he asked us prior to them getting their desserts we all would have ordered a dessert. By the time he asked us, we were annoyed that we had to sit there watching them eat their desserts that we passed on even looking at the menu. Overall I spent about $500 on pre-dinner drinks (well one since that’s all we could get at the bar) and dinner and would have spent a lot more had our service been better. Definitely disappointed and would not return. Food was excellent but overall service and ambiance was horrible.

Beautiful and lavish old train station. Ambiance is great and the food is good but has much competition now in the city. This has always been the place to go to for special occasions
It was a quiet night with only several groups/couples in the entire restaurant. Service was wonderful and on this particular evening there were several trainees shadowing the more experienced. The river view area is always special.
Something new and different is needed but I'm not sure What.

Had to send a drink special back three times to get it to taste as the waitress described. Had to send two of the prime rib orders back twice and one a third time but never did get as ordered. The waitress was not friendly and not informed the manager tried to get it right but said “sorry but that is what they told me” he said he would make it right but the rest of our party was done eating so I ate on end cut done medium rare when I ordered a 10 oz medium. Not even close after the third try. Would not recommend! Will not go back!

Visiting Pittsburgh with my son who is considering University of Pittsburgh. This was the perfect end to a full day of college visiting. The Grand Concourse shows off what Pittsburgh has to offer. Historic landmark, scenic views, vibrant city. The dining experience was wonderful thanks in no small way to our server Herby!

It was my and my wife's wedding anniversary and I wanted to dine somewhere special. We had been to the Grand Concourse in previous years for Mother's Day, Easter, etc. Our appetizer was fantastic, the drinks were great, the dessert was sublime, and the waiter (Joshua) was attentive. However, our dinner (we both had filets) were anything but exceptional. It took an unacceptable amount of time coming out of the kitchen and was quite overdone, dry, and the entire entrée was, at best, lukewarm. The restaurant was not busy at all. Because of the long wait, we were given a choice of dessert. For two dinners that were around $100, the Grand Concourse isn't grand at all. We were very disappointed, to say the least.

More than respectable Sunday brunch. Very interesting and vast assortment of both savory and sweet. Layout made getting the lay of the land difficult, but the space is wonderful, and the views from the patio room picturesque. Food was very good as were the libations. Service was adequate, but it is a buffet after all. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

I had a marvelous time with friends and last month with my husband. I always have a wonderful experience when I come for Sunday brunch. This is my 7/8 time having brunch at the Grand Concourse and I've never been disappointed. Service is excellent, the food is awesome. I feel welcome from the front desk check in to the chefs out on the floor and the person cutting the prime rib. Outstanding!!!
