Beautiful restaurant with very attentive service. Highly recommend fir your special event.
Good food and good service. We came in between Sunday Brunch clean up and the beginning of the dinner hour. Understandably, we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Once seated, the food was great. The crab cake entree was good...but, the "sauce portions" were extremely stingy....I was surprised. I would love to return for the Sunday Brunch sometime-I bet it's spectacular.
The background music was high causing diners to talk louder to hear one another. The Banana Foster was the best. Loved the breakfast selections. Prime too raw. View of city was amazing, even though river is always muddy this time of year. We will return for Valentines Day /Wedding Anniversay again next year. 20 years this year!!
While we usually have only good things to say about the Grand Concourse, this time there were a couple of annoying issues... The omelets were way overcooked and the piped in music was far too loud for normal conversation. Prime rib was very good...!

When you have reservations they need to adhere to your time not wait 15-30 min to be seated after your reservation time

This is one of my favorite places to go for a nice meal. Is a bit on the expensive side but if you are celebrating it is totally worth the price. The food and atmosphere is incredible.
I have not given many poor ratings on review sites but based on our experience, the Grand Concourse definitely earned it. The service was very slow during our visit. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and were seated on time. However, it took 15 minutes for our waiter to arrive and another 15 minutes to receive our drinks. Our dinners arrived about 30 minutes after our drinks. That's 1 hour total from our arrival time which is unacceptable for a highly rated & expensive restaurant. Our waiter did not check on us very often so our drinks remained empty for a decent amount of time. Lastly, the Fillet Mignon was not very high quality because it contained muscle fibers which made it both more chewy & more difficult to cut.
We were never greeted by a server. 10 minutes after sitting down we flagged down someone to inquire as to who our server was and they didn't know. We didn't get water or bread. The person we flagged down took our drink order and promised to find out who our server was - it took quite sometime for our drinks. 50 minutes later we finally placed our dinner order with the person we flagged down - so no original server ever came over to apologize. No one even looked twice at us with no water or food. No manager ever came over to address us in anyway - even though the server was going to mention our situation to them. The restaurant was not overly busy, there is no reason for such poor service and food. Food was mediocre at best - filet overcooked, crab legs overcooked...very disappointed - won't be back, won't recommend and will probably discourage anyone from going in the future.
