Born to an Italian immigrant family, Executive Chef Pat Pascarella has a love for authentic Neopolitan cuisine that runs as deeply as his roots. He grew up savoring the traditional Italian cooking of his mother and grandmother, and it wasn't long before he found himself training under James Beard Award-winning chefs and helming his own kitchens throughout Connecticut, New York, and Atlanta, Georgia.

Grana, Chef Pat's latest culinary endeavor, is directly inspired by the robust southern Italian cooking of his family's matriarchs. It is in their honor that our menu is kept simple and classics are left untouched.

The restaurant can be difficult to find. It is located off of the 2nd level of the parking deck. The 2nd level of the parking deck is on the third level, right above the M Level. The parking is NOT free. You must use the Park Mobile app. to pa. It requires your tag number. So getting inside the restaurant and trying to use the app doesn't work well unless you have your tag number memorized. The Hostess was certain that the owners of the parking would tow or otherwise cause issues if customers did not pay. Now to the restaurant. It is a lively place with lots of glass (a bit noisy) but very airy with a large patio sitting area. The food is good, we had the grana meatballs appetizer, Caesar salad, grilled salmon and the eggplant parmigiana. We ordered the grana meatballs appetizer and the calamari. The waitress came over as we were eating our main course and we told her we never received our appetizers. She said she would take care of that and we did get the grana meatballs. Calamari, it never came. They seem to be learning and we will return but not for a bit.

The meatballs, garlic bread, Brussels sprouts and cannoli were highlights of our dinner, but all six of us enjoyed our entrees too. The space is beautiful, and not as noisy as expected even though the restaurant was full. Angela did a great job as our server, and Kim checked in to make sure our food was delicious. Thanks to all for a great evening.

Service was good but specialty cocktail pours were the smallest I have ever seen and I dine out at least 4 times a week. There were not many choices for glasses of wine. The entree of salad with salmon was served in a little chewed up bowl made of some kind of thin wood. Food was lukewarm warm. The cannoli desserts were delicious. It’s unfortunate because the restaurant itself is nicely appointed and in a great new location. There is a parking deck which is great but we didn’t see anything about paying until we got to the restaurant checkin and were told we needed the app to pay and would need our license plate number. After trying unsuccessfully to get the app, the hostess told us there was a kiosk outside by the elevators. There are a number of new restaurants in the complex so we will try them, but don’t think we will be back to Grana.

We had a wonderful dinner at Grana. The service was excellent as well as the food! We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and our childrens’ birthdays. They had hand written us sweet cards signed by the employees of the restaurant! They made us feel very special!
