Grana at the Langham, Boston
- Common areas deep cleaned daily
A great Xmas eve dinner in a very elegant setting! Too bad the hotel is closing for a year long renovation.
Beautiful interior, pleasant and helpful waitstaff. Only drawback was the food quality - highest tier pricing; the meat was average at best. Overall looks like a good place to bring a date for a drink or two.
The service was great and the atmosphere was enjoyable, but the serving kids on the last course was terrible. It nearly ruined our meal.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner and the options were limited and mostly we were required to have something we didn't want for the first course. We had 2 children with us and the kids were served with the 3rd course. They were restless, irritated and starving. It made the evening far less enjoyable. The kids should have been served with the adult first course, so they weren't sitting there watching everyone else eat with nothing to do.
Food was delish!! The oxtail was excellent!! Would get it again
Everything was wonderful! Chef Nick did a great job
this was AWFUL! The food was not edible! Restaurant was practically empty.
Food was poor for the price point. Service was very bad. Probably the worst dining experience in Boston.
Great drink menu, Mix of hotel guest and high end . It was a bit costly.
bond is very agreeable except for ----- it is incredibly cold they have the AC up way to high
this is somewhat typical of boston dont know why who wants to eat good food in an ice box
also if your splitting a dish as we did salmon they bring out cold plates
havent hear about plate warmers
The ambience is much more in keeping with a bar/lounge. A large tv prominently displayed sporting events, the entire center of the room is dedicated to leather stools and divans, and the room was very dark. The presentation of the food was lovely, but the flavors were unremarkable. Our server was wonderful, but it as odd when he announced that he was leaving to take a break....
Friend Graduation dinner!!!
My veal Milanese was among the best I have had. Service was attentive and helpful. Ambiance feels a bit retro and cool at the same time
We met a friend at BOND who was staying in town at The Langham Hotel. The room was pretty open when we arrived for our reservation at 8:30pm on a Saturday.
The menu isn't extensive, but the food and wine were delicious. The custom drinks were also pretty good.
The place started to fill up around 10:00pm, when they dropped the lights and it became more "bar-like." And the noise level went up then as well, as a slightly younger crowd (mostly groups of 30-somethings) started to arrive. When we left at 11:30pm, it was lively but not packed. Would probably be a pretty fun place to party with some friends.
We had a great time. The meal was delicious. We had my sister and her husband up from Mississippi for a night at the Langham Hotel and dinner at the Bond. Since our mother had worked at the Federal Reserve Bank. I thought it would be nostalgic for us. My mom who is 92 loved the picture we took of the Federal Bank Seal on the floor in the Bond restaurant. Chris was a great server , drinks and dinner were outstanding.
The lounge was not opened and we were not notified. Left immediately and went elsewhere.
It would be good if there were more options for cocktails. If a couple wants a private table, there really isn't one that is not right next to someone else. We lucked out that no one sat next to us because it was a slower night. The appetizers and dessert were very good.
There wasn't an option on the check box list to describe the visually dramatic setting. It just made us feel special and like we were in another world.
This is a very nice restaurant in an interesting space. The bar occupies the far end and the bar clientele the middle of the room. Dining tables are distributed around the perimeter of the room. It is a lively place with plenty of young customers. So if you want an intimate, quiet dinner, this is not the space for you.
In addition the wait staff, while efficient to a certain extent, were not connected to their customers in any way. It was take your order and run...I think driven by the large number of thirsty people in the bar area.
Consequently, I would not ever go back for dinner. Maybe return for a drink if I wanted to people watch but not to dine.
Outstanding dinning with great ambiance and service!
Terrible. Reserved and then got a call saying they had decided to cancel the reservation because they wanted a private event to go on longer. The person was rude and unapologetic. Total waste of time. Do not bother
Nice location, great overall look, good service, decent food buy unfortunately the food didn’t blow me away. It was just not as interesting as i was hoping for. Somewhat limited menu, very limited specialty house drinks - big disappointment. I was expecting a cocktail list i would keep coming back to try, all i got was a few martini variations.
Club music came one towards the end of dinner, got the feeling jt wanted to be a trendy drink spot but with a limited drink menu and bright Celtics game on at bar it just wasn’t.
Overall bond felt like it had an identity crisis. What it wants to be and what it is currently is just are not in sync. If someone booked a dinner there i would happily go back knowing things including the food, overall would be good, however i wouldn’t personally rush to book again. I like new and interesting cuisine when i got out, dishes i can’t cook at home and combinations i never thought of and bond unfortunately, didn’t deliver that for me.
The manager is one of the best I've had anywhere in the world.
Wonder evening. Great ambiance for a birthday celebration. Excellent food and presentation. Attentive and professional service. Nice wine selection. First time diners at Bond but will definitely be returning.
Dinner was delicious. I had the crispy eggplant and I must admit it was the best eggplant dish ever! Also had one of the signature cocktails and a glass of Pinot Grigio both of which were outstanding. My colleague had the lobster cavatappi which she said was delicious along with her wine pairing. A bit noisy but definitely worth it.
My favorite restaurant used to be the Julien, which was arguably the best French restaurant in Boston. It closed about a decade ago, and the Bond recently opened in the same location. I was hoping for a similar experience.
Unfortunately, that's not what I got. The food followed the current lean fad, as opposed to the full fat of traditional French dining, making it less delicious and less filling. There was a large, noisy group that appeared to be holding a cocktail party in a roped off section of the restaurant. The bar had been moved into the restaurant, which might not have been a problem except for the cocktail party. The server was okay, but not of the high degree of professionalism of the Julien.
To be fair, it was also about half the price of the Julien, after adjusting for inflation. The food was not bad for low fat food. It just wasn't what I was looking for, which was a quiet, elegant restaurant with traditional full fat food.
Bond is a standout restaurant in a city with many standout restaurants. An amazing, beautiful place with superb food and drinks. I'd recommend the reserve martini to any martini aficionado.
Had a very good meal at Bond while staying at the Lagham. Lobster pasta and veal porterhouse were both delicious and the veal was nicely cooked and seasoned. Prices are maybe a bit higher than comparable food at other Boston spots. Would return.
Beautiful atmosphere and the team was great! Thank you for a fun night!
Very cool spot! Great drinks & service. On the pricey side, but worth it.
Murrilo was our server, he was very attentive polite and personable. The food was good not amazing. I would come back for drinks. Thankyou
Service was great! This place is so cool and historic. Great place to have dinner, drinks, a meet for a special event. I had to increase my party count and they were so friendly and accommodating! Our service was great, she was friendly , quick, and a pleasure!
The noise level was a serious detriment to the experience! It was hard to communicate and
hard to hear normal conversation. They need to install some sound absorbing materials and
or devices. Please share this with the Langham.
We went here for Valentine's day and the prefix menu was amazing and there was so many kinds of chocolate throughout the meal! It was great! would definitely go back!!
Both times we've been there it's been a great experience. They make the best Aperol Spritz we've had other than in Italy.
One of the best restaurants I've been to in Boston! Grand and sophisticated decor, yet very relaxed atmosphere. Extremely elegant, excellent service, delicious food, pricey but well worth it. I recommend it highly and I would definitely go again for any special occasion.
We took a small group here after our friends got married at City Hall right when they opened for post ceremony celebration. The service was fantastic!! Made the occasion that much more special! Thank you SO much!!
My wife and I, always receive great food and friendly service at Bond. The staff is attentive and the atmosphere provides a great dining experience.
Great place. Good food and ambiance. The menue options could be better but otherwise a good experience.
Nice elegant restaurant - was easy to get into - not very packed for dinner on a Friday but food was a good xcellent. Dessert was somewhat uninspiring.
