Amazing food & great staff!
Excellent Italian food. Burrata w figs to die for. Orecchiette w corn and pancetta another highlight. Subtle but meaty flavors.
Becoming my go to Tribeca italian restaurant for comfrotable dinners with friends or colleagues. Food is excellent everytime, the drinks menu is very good, and the staff is consistently professional and just nice / enjoyable. Really like Gran Morsi.
Excellent as always!
The food is usually great! But both of our chicken Parms were extremely over cooked - tough and rubbery chicken. The fresh pasta was fantastic as usual. The outdoor ambiance was all right but nothing special, esp. for the price.
Appetizer of focaccia bread took about an hour to get, came after our main dishes had arrived. All drinks ordered needed to be sent back and redone as they were not right. Waiter didn’t know what was going on! How to get comped on a few different items. Nice restaurant but service was low expectations.
I’ve been to Gran Morsi many times—even in the pandemic when we froze outside in the dead of winter to support local restaurants. But today, w head one of the worst meals and worst service I can recall. It wasn’t busy. I had a reservation. We didn’t order anything complicated. Yet our pasta was grossly undercooked, we never saw our server, couldn’t get drink refills, it took 45 minutes to get that undercooked pasta and 20 minutes for a single scoop of ice cream. I appreciated the manager checking in, but honestly, he experience was aggravating and disappointing. I’m not sure we’ll be back.
We waited over 2 hours for our food that never showed up.
Service was great. Staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was so fun!
First time and the restaurant made an Excellent impression. Still very few tables inside so we felt very comfortable. Service was friendly and professional. A food allergy was taken seriously and our order was explained with options suggested. Wine was delicious! Food was outstandingly good. And portions were large.
Great food and great service
I highly recommend dining at Gran Morsi. The food was freshly made with quality ingredients, was sophisticated without anything pretentious. We had the homemade burrata, the branzino, and the chicken parmesan. Everything was wonderful.
But the service is what really set this restaurant apart. The staff working as a team, checking on us often, sharing their favorites, and also spending time to have it feel personal. I would definitely dine her again and again.
Great experience! Delicious drinks!!! Very very attentive server!
lovely bar, craft cocktails and delicious pasta. exposed brick and soft lighting. a gem
Excellent food and service! Highly recommended. The burrata salad and artichokes are my go to appetizers. Cant ever go wrong with their pasta. One of my NYC faves!
Mother’s Day dinner was great wish there was better seating arrangements though
We had an amazing dinner .. would highly recommend.
The service was great and so friendly!!!
We had a terrific dinner at Gran Morsi. We've eaten here (and ordered take-out from them during the lock-down) many times and we've never, ever been disappointed. The food was awesome, as it always is. Dining outside was particularly wonderful -- less noise, beautiful breeze, and we got to bring our dog along who sat quietly beneath our table. (I hope the outdoor dining is here to stay!) The staff was lovely -- brought our pup some water and stopped over several times to say hello to him and pet him. The Tagliatelle alla Bolognese here is the best I've tasted anywhere. I'm particularly grateful for the great job they do accommodating my gluten free diet needs. This is hands-down one of our very favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. Always a great experience in every way -- food, service, ambience. Love it.
Loved this spot so much. Already looking forward to the next time!!!
Terrible restaurant. Waited 45 mins for appetizer and another 45 minutes for dinner. Ordered cacio e pepe and it came in a pool of butter. There is no butter in that dish. It was largely not edible. Food was served cold. With all the great Italian in NY this one is to be avoided.
Love the ambience. We sat outside but the service was still excellent. Food was good. Love this local joint.
Loved the salad
Awesome experience, the food was amazing and the attention since you arrived make your night in a special one!!!
Food, service and atmosphere all terrific. Pricey. Two teens and one adult ordering one glass of wine totaled nearly $200 with tip.
Food was delicious and service was very nice and did a great job. Even with issues with one of the main courses they were completely transparent and very focused on making sure we got the plate that met their standards which I appreciated. Good wine and threw in a free cocktail for our anniversary
Delicious kale Caesar salad! A great place to bring out of town guests. The pastas are incredible and the pizzas are good too!
My daughter and I were in NYC for a girls trip and found Gran Morsi on Open Table. We wanted a place we could walk to and the menu looked delicious!
It was wonderful! The greeting at the front door was warm, atmosphere was perfect, waiters were attentive and the food was so yummy!
We shared an appetizer, a pizza and the black squid ink pasta with seafood. It was all stunningly delicious!
If we lived in NYC we would go once a week!
Food: terrific. Portions: enormous (particularly if you order family, style, as we did). Service: quite good, with extra difficulty points awarded for serving a group of 10 eating outdoors in the "garden" (really a 3-sided shed in what used to be the parking lane of Warren Street). Value: not complaining, because the food and the service were good, but this is not where you go if you are feeling thrifty. Ambiance: about that "garden" . . . they are cagey about this on their website, but in truth there is no garden, just an open-sided COVID-era shed in the street. Since the start of the pandemic I have eaten in many of these, and I am happy to do so. Also, in this neighborhood (a block from City Hall), traffic is light at night (unless there is a protest march going on), so it is quieter than many NYC outdoor dining venues. But . . . maybe a few flowerpots would be nice?
We came here for outdoor dining on a pretty cold night (in the 30s), but they had heaters and did their best to try to make sure everyone was warm. The food was delicious and the service was the best. The waitstaff were very attentive to everyone and super friendly. I just moved back to FIDI and will definitely make this one of my go-to neighborhood restaurants.
The food was great and the service was awesome. We had 2 waiters because one was still in a training and he only made the experience even more relaxing
Great service all around, will definitely be attending again 👍🏼
Good neighborhood place for outdoor dining and extremely quiet at night!!
The place is great. Pasta is so good, big portions, too. Tiramisu is excellent, rest of desserts not so great. I ve been there twice but def will go again!
great outdoors dining and warm in the chilly weather!!
Doing it right. During a time, when we are all looking for a safe night out, we thoroughly enjoyed our time.
Service is impeccable!! So attentive and accommodating, really notable
I booked this restaurant last minute due to the open table double points awards promotion. Normally we have our reliable regulars. But this turned out to be a real neighborhood gem. The pizza was excellent. The chicken parm and the beef brisket were delicious. The staff is well trained and extremely friendly. My wife and I will definitely be coming back on a regular basis!
We had a great date night. We shared the mussels and clams in white wine broth with amazing foccacia, My husband then had the grilled octopus app and short rib entree. The beef was so tender, you could have eaten it with a spoon. I had the arancini (amazing) and the pasta carbonara. All great. Staff very friendly and helpful. We def want to go back and try the pizzas! A fun vibe with good music. Def recommend!
Great food and services. The waiter and servers were very kind, and the manager checked with us to see if we loved the food and service there. We’re from Philly, going to NYC for a quick getaway, and definitely will go back here.
