Warm ambiance, attentive service (from hostess and waitstaff), great food and not-to-loud background music made for an ideal business lunch location. Will put this on my list of go-to's for customer lunches.
Everything was perfect -- great service, excellent food.
I have been here a few times and every time I return, I am greeted like a neighbor. The hosts remembers my name (makes me feel good) and the service is always terrific! The food is consistently delicious and the menu is quite creative. I highly recommend it. Make reservations because its always packed.
Gran Morsi staff were so helpful and accommodating with a huge business meal for 20 we hosted there. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff worked to ensure all felt welcomed and enjoyed their entire dining experience. I’d recommend Gran Morsi to anyone looking to host a large group downtown.
We had our annual anniversary dinner at Gran Morsi last night and it was again absolutely awesome.
From the greeting at the entrance to the farewell at the end of the dinner the hospitality was flawless. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the octopus to start and the linguini with baby squid for a main. Delicious!
One of our favorite places in NYC for sure.
Will come again every year for our celebration. 😘
Excellent Italian food. Every meal is prepared well. Charming atmosphere for an Italian wine bar / restaurant. Sometimes when it is very busy it can be noisy but last Saturday night it was delightful. It is one of our favorite local restaurants and we are treated well and continue going back. We bring our friends and they all seem to enjoy the food and experience.
Staff was so accommodating and pleasant. They helped prepare for an intimate wedding celebrating and took good care of us throughout our meal. Would definitely go back for a special occasion, or just even for drinks! Loved it.
There was only one waiter for the whole restaurant. A basic lunch for four took two hours. Inexcusable. I asked if somebody had called in sick. They said no. Bad staffing, which is very surprising given my previous experience.
Food was good, portions were well sized, price very reasonable. Would suggest for an Italian restaurant to offer a few salads as sides, and serve some bread.
Met friends from Philly, pre-Comedy Club in the area. Lovely ambiance, extremely friendly and attentive staff. Fresh and tasty Italian dishes, service was well paced, definitely not rushed. Had a quiet round table for four in a back corner which was perfect for catching up. Would be a good spot following a visit to 911 Memorial Museum or a tour of City Hall, close to the Financial District. Definitely makes our list for a return visit.
Wonderful time with friends, great drinks, excellent food and service. Will go back again.
I usually go for lunch, when it is rather quiet, even if it's full. This time i went for dinner in the week before Christmas and the place was packed with a couple of party groups so the noise level was really high. The food, though, was great as usual, and the service was lovely.
Great food, cocktails and service. Will definitely be back!
The food was delicious, service was accommodating and speedy, and we had a great meal. I would recommend.
I came here for a business lunch. We decided to meet in the middle since our offices are a distance from each other. I picked this spot because it had good reviews and was in a convenient location. The food was delicious and service attentive but not pushy. I would expect this restaurant to be packed all the time. Quality, ambiance, and music were right up my alley. Caters well to the 30-ish year old professional. I'm usually disappointed by any restaurant meatball, but these were pretty good! Would recommend!
As always, the food was delicious. Our waiter was generally attentive. However, the noise level is always my complaint. The music is much too loud, which makes the patrons, especially those in big groups, talk even louder and I start straining to hear by dining partner. I've asked them to lower the music in the past, and they've kindly done so, but I really don't want to always be THAT person.
Amazing! Concierge at Conrad Hotel told me about Gran Morsi - thank you Conrad! Service was superb and the food was even better. I will certainly be back and hope Gran Morsi keeps doing what they're doing - it works.
Great food, service and ambience and you could have a conversation. That’s a rarity today.
Delightful ambience. Surprisingly uncrowded for Saturday evening. Really good food. However, service left much to be desired. I was never offered the specials of the day, and was ignored once my meal was delivered. Ageism?
Absolutely perfect meal!!! Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambiance!!! Couldn't have been better!!
First time at the restaurant. I heard good things from a work colleague about the restaurant. Dined in the basement since a party was booked for the entire main dining room. Bar drinks were nice. Food was very good. Our server was off. Had to wait a long while to receive our main course after our starters. I would go back, food was that good.
We booked a table for 4 people on saturday evening and enjoyed our meal immensely. The service was cheerful and attentive, the wine was decently affordable (a few bottles in the $50-70 range) and the setting was clean and cozy. Food standouts included the octopus (finally a serving size that warrants a $23 price tag), the burrata and the spicy meat pizza. I'd definitely return for another visit to try more of the menu.
Chicken parm not very tasetful
Love this place! My girlfriend and I have returned for numerous special occasions and date nights! Highly recommend!
What a delight it is to return to Gran Morsi each time. In a neighborhood with plenty of options, there's something special in the combination of the warm welcome, the delicious food, and tasty, reasonable wine list (for the area). Delicious pastas (the orrechiette with sausage and broccoli rabe is among the best in the city) and delicious main entrees make this a go-to for a good night. Also: celebs can be spotted, but are never bothered. It's like a family restaurant, if NYC is your family.
Delicious food and great service for our large party.
Had a reser
Nice place for everyday dining. Delicious pastas and tiramisu.

gentilezza del personale
This neighborhood restaurant's service was friendly and impeccable. The decor was interesting and inviting. Unique, delicious selections were presented to all diners. We enjoyed the kale autumn salad, mother beet salad along with the main dishes of eggplant and chicken parm were delicious. This was a true find in TriBeCa. We would gladly return to enjoy the atmosphere and food/wine.
Love, love, love this restaurant! Food and service were second to none! My favourite eatery in New York! We shall definitely be back!
Tasty food but had to wait a while for food to come out.
New favorite restaurant. Amazing food, service, ambiance, etc. would definitely recommend.
Excellent as always. Maddie is a terrific server! Thank you.
Overall great location, quiet, nice ambiance. We had an overall good time. The only issue of note was that one of the dishes my friend ordered was a pasta dish with meat sauce and it came out cold. He sent it back, and it came back a few minutes later, slightly better but still overall cold. He sent it back and the restaurant gave us the credit for the dish. The concern was that it was a meat dish, while the pasta being cold may be okay, but with the meat, my friend was concern. The chef should have known better, especially after we sent it back the first time. Seems like all that was done was to microwave it, even then, it wasn't done through.
Just finished an early dinner here. I travel to NYC once or twice monthly, and can say without hesitation I will NEVER eat here or bring clients here again.
While the food was VERY GOOD, the service and overall front of the house was an unprofessional joke. We were greeted and seated quickly, only to be turned over to our waiter, who was incapable of bringing a drink in a timely manner (we were the only table at 5, and we watched him jaw with the wait staff for 15 minutes, before stepping behind the bar to make my colleague’s vodka soda). He was overall inattentive, seems vaguely familiar with specials, and completely packed any sense of urgency. I wanted to like this place because of the food, but frankly the front house was not worthy of the price tag or to call it a Manhattan restaurant.
If there was an opposite of the James Beard awards, I would rush to nominate Gran Morsi. Please do not waste your money. Food alone cannot save the place.
highlight was the atmosphere, friendly hostess. service was confused. food ok. room temp tap water, no ice.
Delish on the food! Say no more! My girl absolutely loves this place and it never disappoints!
We loved it. William was great. Food was delicious.
This is my third buddy visit to Gran Morsi during Restaurant Week. It has definitely become a favorite of mine. Today was a pre-birthday celebration. And everything was all 10s.
