We found this restaurant for a group of 9 and ended up being 7 which they accommodated. The service was extremely slow. We ordered an entree to be ready when a someone in our party came late and it still came out 30 mins after he arrived. We had to ask for dessert menus after eating over 20 minutes after dinner was cleared away and then waited another 20 mins for dessert. I found the food very mediocre and the desserts not worth the wait. Overpriced for mediocre food and slow service.
After glowing online reviews, this was a letdown.
On the plus side, the service was very informative, attentive and on their game. The setting is beautiful, elegant, and tasteful. Cocktails were simple and delicious, with a perfect blend of spirits and additives. Our Old Fashioneds were superb. The pork belly appetizer was sublime and tasty, with a zingy, flavorful BBQ side dip. Highly recommend.
On the negative side, it seemed that no less that 8 people came to our table. We were unsure WHO the actual server was, and it was like a turnstile of waiters. This is discomforting, and wrecks camaraderie with your server.
The pasta special I ordered lacked a decent amount of seafood, was generally flavorless, and overpriced at $42. Ouch.
A simple margherita pizza was over-charred on the crust and WAY too salty.
The worst part for me was the noise level. I had requested a "romantic" setting for our date, and it was SO loud in our corner that it was hard to hear much of anything.
Very nice dining experience. Service, food, atmosphere was all great. Staff is very knowledgeable about the food, I asked the server to pick a cocktail for me, she chose one that was very delicious. All the staff was very attentive without being intrusive.
Fantastic food and service. Best artichokes ever, period. Pasta with smoked tomatoes, short ribs and lobster was out of site.
We had dinner outside Saturday night. Food was very good, though some of the appetizers were priced ridiculously high. Service was excellent. One suggestion is to serve cold water, not room temperature, also need some ceiling fans as was quite stuffy on a warm night in enclosed space.
Ordered Margherita Pizza, Ravioli, Chicken Parmigiana.
The pizza was okay. Best was the lobster Ravioli, however the Chicken Parmigiana reeked of raw chicken - the pasta that came with it was good though.
Ambiance for good for a coffee visit in the future but food needs improvement.
Felt reviews were inflated/gamed. For the price, has much higher expectations.
Very nice dining experience. Would return for sure. The mushroom pizza was amazing!
Our favorite NYC restaurant - have been coming here for 4 years and it never disappoints!
Hair in our food. Soggy wet dessert. Nice staff but the food was not edible.
Casual, pretty, not too loud but not boring, yummy food
Great outdoor dining experience. Will definitely return during my next visit to the city.
The service was amazing, everyone that works there is so nice!!
Amazing food drinks and service
Highly recommend! We did a small group dinner and they servers were very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious and the family style meal was really nice with the small group. The decor is beautiful with the plant walls in the back. Highly recommend for a date night or group dinner!
Waitress was rude
Grab Morsi is such a sweet new restaurant in the heart of Tribeca with a lovely ambiance and the food is superb.
We had excellent table service with great attention to detail and service to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had the branzino which was very good along with the polpettes… amazing.
Came here for restaurant week a bit disappointed. Was expecting to pay around the $39 restaurant week price and left paying more than double. Restaurant week portion sizes were a joke. The plates were barely big enough for 1 person. The only thing that was valuable was the pizza. Would not recommend for restaurant week if you’re going for the deals.
Amazing food & great staff!
Excellent Italian food. Burrata w figs to die for. Orecchiette w corn and pancetta another highlight. Subtle but meaty flavors.
Becoming my go to Tribeca italian restaurant for comfrotable dinners with friends or colleagues. Food is excellent everytime, the drinks menu is very good, and the staff is consistently professional and just nice / enjoyable. Really like Gran Morsi.
Excellent as always!
The food is usually great! But both of our chicken Parms were extremely over cooked - tough and rubbery chicken. The fresh pasta was fantastic as usual. The outdoor ambiance was all right but nothing special, esp. for the price.
Appetizer of focaccia bread took about an hour to get, came after our main dishes had arrived. All drinks ordered needed to be sent back and redone as they were not right. Waiter didn’t know what was going on! How to get comped on a few different items. Nice restaurant but service was low expectations.
I’ve been to Gran Morsi many times—even in the pandemic when we froze outside in the dead of winter to support local restaurants. But today, w head one of the worst meals and worst service I can recall. It wasn’t busy. I had a reservation. We didn’t order anything complicated. Yet our pasta was grossly undercooked, we never saw our server, couldn’t get drink refills, it took 45 minutes to get that undercooked pasta and 20 minutes for a single scoop of ice cream. I appreciated the manager checking in, but honestly, he experience was aggravating and disappointing. I’m not sure we’ll be back.
We waited over 2 hours for our food that never showed up.
Service was great. Staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was so fun!
First time and the restaurant made an Excellent impression. Still very few tables inside so we felt very comfortable. Service was friendly and professional. A food allergy was taken seriously and our order was explained with options suggested. Wine was delicious! Food was outstandingly good. And portions were large.
Great food and great service
I highly recommend dining at Gran Morsi. The food was freshly made with quality ingredients, was sophisticated without anything pretentious. We had the homemade burrata, the branzino, and the chicken parmesan. Everything was wonderful.
But the service is what really set this restaurant apart. The staff working as a team, checking on us often, sharing their favorites, and also spending time to have it feel personal. I would definitely dine her again and again.
Great experience! Delicious drinks!!! Very very attentive server!
lovely bar, craft cocktails and delicious pasta. exposed brick and soft lighting. a gem
Excellent food and service! Highly recommended. The burrata salad and artichokes are my go to appetizers. Cant ever go wrong with their pasta. One of my NYC faves!
Mother’s Day dinner was great wish there was better seating arrangements though
We had an amazing dinner .. would highly recommend.
The service was great and so friendly!!!
We had a terrific dinner at Gran Morsi. We've eaten here (and ordered take-out from them during the lock-down) many times and we've never, ever been disappointed. The food was awesome, as it always is. Dining outside was particularly wonderful -- less noise, beautiful breeze, and we got to bring our dog along who sat quietly beneath our table. (I hope the outdoor dining is here to stay!) The staff was lovely -- brought our pup some water and stopped over several times to say hello to him and pet him. The Tagliatelle alla Bolognese here is the best I've tasted anywhere. I'm particularly grateful for the great job they do accommodating my gluten free diet needs. This is hands-down one of our very favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. Always a great experience in every way -- food, service, ambience. Love it.
Loved this spot so much. Already looking forward to the next time!!!
