My reservation was for 8. I was seated for 4. I spoke with a manager and I was given an extra table of four near mines to accommodate me. The manager and my server were great.
A few if my guest complained their drinks were water down. But overall i enjoyed my husband's Birthday at the Grain.

Great food, excellent service, and amazing rooftop view. Definitely going back.

The website stated only outside seating would be available due to CoVid19 restrictions. We were good with this as it was a lovely evening and felt it would be possible to social distance. When we arrived,on time for our reservation, we were informed that there were no more outside tables available. We were told our only option would be inside in an already packed bar area with live music. Why even make a reservation a week in advance?! We were very uncomfortable! Our server was kind and helpful and the food was good. We were unable to have an semblance of a conversation. We were lead to believe reservations would be limited and capacity restricted to the current Government regulations.

Food was incredibly delicious and portions were good. Beer selection is amazing and we enjoyed to open-air outdoor seating. Will come back again.

We were unable to sit outside because of the availability of tables that weren’t in direct sunlight (it was 7pm) but other than that it was an overall great dining experience!

Our experience was wonderful! Out waitress as attentive to our needs, and friendly. We live right up the street, and we come here often. We haven't had a bad experience, yet.

Beautiful night on the 6 of June . My friends birthday weekend during the Corona-virus epidemic stage 2 . The Grain was comfortable and safe like its always been.

I’ve been to the grain twice already and the vibes and food was amazing as always. I will definitely be coming back a lot more for brunch. This restaurant is definitely a vibe. And the mimosas are amazing. I would definitely recommend the Mimosa Flight.

Did not realize brunch was buffet only. Some in our party wanted menu items that were not available

Nice to be out! Music was nice. Dood and drinks were excellent. Pickle chips amazing! Tacos and wagyu burgers were very good!

A beautiful setting on the roof of Hilton's The Main in downtown Norfolk. It was a sunny, breezy June evening and a perfect night to be on the rooftop terrace. Staff was friendly and efficient, the beer selection thorough, and the food we had was very good (shrimp tacos and salmon entree).

I love Grain. It is an awesome environment with beautiful scenery. The staff is courteous and professional, food is good and drink selection is good too. One of my go to for socializing with friends.

It was a perfect environment to celebrate as best we could, during the Rona, our youngest daughter's Graduation. Food was great our server was awesome

Great experience returning to restaurant dining from lockdown. Servers wore masks and outside tables were safely spaced. Loved the smashburgers.

This is me and my wife’s favorite spot. Our last experience was almost perfect, but I ask the manager to bring back the brisket sandwich. Best brisket I ever had and it needs to be on the menu permanently!

It was my first time at Grain and the experience wasn’t up to my expectations. I had the chili salmon with mashed potatoes and salad. The salmon was under seasoned, I couldn’t taste the chili. I could’ve made it better at home. Mashed potatoes were bland. The salad came with no dressing so it seemed as if I was eating grass. The appetizer was far much better than the meal. I started to ask for a refund because I was unsatisfied. The environment and scenery gave off very good vibes though!

Emily made our roof top brunch wonderful! Unfortunately they cannot do their regular buffet brunch… But you still get a large selection of items and they bring it right to you. The view is wonderful. We will be back. Live Music was great too.

Great place to go! Rooftop overlooking the river is a great setting for any occasion. Staff extremely laid back while still attentive. They're not just trying to turn over tables. Foid was fantastic.

Outdoor dining was great. It was cooler out bu they had heaters all over the patio. The service was excellent. We will definitely go back next week. Can’t beat the view!

Temp menu was not very clear on what to do with it. Our first seats were right by entrance which was blasted by freezing cold air and very loud music! Was moved to the fire pit which was better but we got very burnt from the sun and ended up just ordering a few things then leaving. Love the place but they need more umbrellas!!

Beautiful view of the water. The service was quick and polite. The food (we ordered wings) were delicious and fresh. The sangria was amazingly good. There was live music as the evening went on, so if your not into that keep it in mind when booking. The local music is very good though.

everyone was wearing a face mask, more than 6ft between tables, i felt extremely comfortable in the outdoor seating environment

The atmosphere and food was wonderful. Our server was a delight. However, I didn't give the Grain the highest review because we had 8 pm reservations but were not seated until 8:50 pm. I understand it was a new process and can appreciate the pandemic situation, but we were told that the reason our reservations were delayed is because they allowed "walk-ups" to be seated before the patrons who had reservations.

Everything was great at the Grain!!!! Only part that could use work is having better signage of parking lot and entrances for non hotel guest. It was a challenge for several people. Other than that, I cant wait to get back!!

Eager to get out and support our hospitality and restaurant industry. And see just how the new norm would feel. I think the restaurant wasn't quite ready...

The Brat's Tots were Absolutely delicious! The Duck Tacos and Wings seasoned to perfection! I can't wait to come home again so we can dine here!
