Grafton Street Pub and Grill
We were in cambridge for family members art opening. Great service. We were slow because we were talking about the opening and servers were very patient with us. Food was good comfort food. Drinks were just right.
We came for dinner before a concert at Sanders theater. Our first time back to an old fave in a few years. Service and food were both great. Good selection of craft beer - especially enjoyed the coconut almond porter. Fish and chips was light and tasty. We’ll be back!
Mix up on our drinks twice and slow getting our initial order .
Server very nice and food was above average.
Overall good pub but need a better bartender. Mixed drinks were not her strong suite
Great place, I have been having lunch here consistently for 7 years. Food is awesome, table service can be a bit spotty. I particularly like in the warm weather when they open the wall up to the street.
It's way too noisy for conversation. They did turn down the music when we asked, but it was still difficult to hear anyone sitting more than one person away. Perhaps they could have quieter spaces where there is no music. Or have controls for the music for each area.
This place had a nice Irish feel to it. There is a bar part with tv's but it can also be like a date night if you sit at table tops or in booths. The food was really good quality, and very traditional Irish. Prices were good for what I got, and our server was very nice. Go here for good ole Irish comfort cuisine. Very clean pub as well
Really great food and service. Dishes are well made and tasty. I ordered a Margarita pizza and didn't really like the kind of cheese they had, it seemed to be a low-quality mozzarella or perhaps not even mozzarella.
My husband and I finally had a night out together. We were in Harvard Square and decided to have dinner in Grafton Street. I ordered the Guinness Beef Stew; my husband had Fish and Chips. It was the worst meal we had ever had in a restaurant. You had to search to find the beef in the stew and the stew had NO flavor; I didn’t eat it. The fish and chips were also very disappointing.
The waitress never even asked how our meal was. Just took the plates and got our bill. Won’t be going back.
Great ambience and location.. very busy on st pats day weekend so food quality was a bit compromised but service was excellent.
Visited Grafton for lunch. Limited brunch menu on weekends but the three of us each found good entrees. Our server was Lucy, who was friendly and efficient. Nothing fancy . Good food, terrific location .
Go here approximately once per week. Staff are polite and prompt. The food is good value. The Guiness is excellent!
We had a nice meal at Grafton Street Pub, however we came in totally looking forward to the Guinness-braised short ribs and other items advertised on the Dine Out Boston menu, but were informed by our server that it had ended the evening before because of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day menu. Disappointed for sure. Noise level rules out important conversation. Attentive service and super convenient parking option with Open Table confirmation.
Great place, Service was thoughtful. Much too noisy. I wish quiet were chic!
The staff was very timely and friendly. The food tasted amazing.
We had to wait for out table on a Tuesday when we had a reservation and the place was mostly empty. Our food came out at weird times, apps with entrees.
Brought a couple friends for a quick dinner before a concert. Coming early around 6 is a good idea to avoid the evening rush, and to snag a space in the free church lot across the street. Had the best Shepherd's pie ever. Friends agree that there actually IS a reasonable Harvard Square establishment for a quick bite.
Food and service were wonderful. The noise level was excruciating and meant we had to yell at each other to converse.
The menu at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday was the brunch menu... the choices were limited, but the food was good... our server was very pleasant, but she did forget an item or two... the members of our party who were drinking enjoyed their creative cocktails... all 7 of us enjoyed our meals... we passed 2 excellent desserts around the table to give everyone a taste.
There is a lovely authentic look and feel to this pub - they want you to think Grafton Street as in Dublin, and they do so. Most of the menu is authentic in that way, as well - for some things, like the shepherd's pie, almost TOO authentic - a little bland. Drinks are very good, lots of good stuff on draught, and burgers were flying out of the kitchen on a busy Thursday night. We had a great time, and would return, although we thought the food would be a little punchier.
Much too loud for conversation. Too few keto-friendly options.
Excellent cocktails and wine but the salmon was a bit fishy and metallic tasting in parts. Nice recipe but not done medium rare really as promised, but everything else was excellent so we’ll be back!
My go to restaurant in the greater Boston area.
I had a great time and the food was really good! The service was perfect.
We set a reservation for a high table and we were sat in the back at a table behind a pillar. It was a little embarrassing to have brought my date there when I was expecting to be sat at a high top table as I had reserved.
My guest loves Grafton Street, and we have had many delightful meals there. This evening was no exception. In fact, the food and service were so good that we ate more and drank more wine than we had before. Everything was delightful. However, the bill was on the high side for what we had to eat and drink compared to other restaurants of similar quality ... so I'll watch how much we order in the future a bit more carefully.
Delicious food and great place to meet up with friends
We went for Valentine’s Day dinner
Perfect locaion, they have alot of seating, food was great...very friendly, we had to rush to see our show, we were loke weres the waitress, buy regardless she was still very nice!
Grafton Street pub was a welcome oasis on a cold February afternoon for five of us. The atmosphere, food and service were all great. Interesting beer selection met all of our tastes. It was also fun to have a reason to go to Harvard Square after what feels like a decade.
Pancakes were served upside down and not hot. Not enough syrup. They have joined a growing list of things I would not order again at Grafton, much as I like the place.
One of our top "go to" restaurants in Cambridge, especially when we're in the mood for the excellent Grafton Burger. Coincidentally we had the same server (Sydney) for our last two visits to Grafton Street... she's awesome!
Friday night at the Grafton Street restaurant was noisier than we'd have liked for catching up family we hadn't seen in a while. Food was delicious.......service re taking order, delivering food was good, but not enough checking in for water refill. No one ordered alcohol and we realized that's a huge profit for restaurants so we exited sooner than we'd like because the restaurant was packed and we felt guilty holding up the table.
Food was delicious, service was good, atmosphere was great. We had a wonderful dinner.
A solid choice with something to please everyone.
We were getting an early dinner to make the theater. The staff was terrific! Ambiance was great. It was a cold icy night and the shephard's pie appealed to both of us. But something was "not quite right". Peas were hard. Meet was a little "off". I'd definitely go again but would be cautious about what I ate.
Grafton Street has consistency good food when you want a varied menu, a place where you can converse, and a reservation. Casual atmosphere and attentive service makes it comfortable without being fussy. Besides the anticipated beer selection there are good wines by the glass.
We had Ruthie fir our waitress and she was awesome as was the food! Definitely coming back!
Jessica, our server, was excellent. Good was very good. Will be back.
Honestly, it just wasn't great. Every time I go for some reason I expect the food to be really good and it always is only so-so. Our server was great, but it took forever for the food to get out to us and the kitchen mixed up burger done-ness---first undercooking then overcooking, at which point complaining would have meant staying way too late. We like the atmosphere and we keep hoping it will improve...
I'm a frequent patron. It's always awesome. Great food and service is always great.
