The scallops were delicious - best I’ve had in a long time! Unexpected delight - have to give 5 stars for this. The mussels appetizer was also delicious. The Caesar Salad was pretty good. Portions are fairly generous. Service was speedy, wait staff polite, “no frills” service style. We had a corner window table that I would request if/when we go back - you should too. Overall, very pleasant dining.

Fun place to get together. Creative menu. Interesting drinks list. Great for stepping away from the extra high traffic part of Harvard Square. Short walk to Sanders Theater for events at that venue.

I have been to a few other restaurants owned by this group and to Grafton Street a few times, but I have to say I was quite disappointed this time around. I ordered calamari, which was quite greasy. For dinner I had a burger which I ordered medium rare but was delivered so rare I was afraid to eat it. Our waitress graciously asked the kitchen to cook me another burger, which was delivered well, and tasted good, but the timing was off and overall the experience suffered. Our cocktails were great and service and ambiance were fine as well, was just a bit let down by the food, especially at that price.

Sorry we chose this restaurant with so many options nearby,
we were there for brunch. The English muffin on eggs benedict as well as my toast were barely toasted. The asparagus omlet was tasteless.

We had to ask twice to be moved to a suitable table; despite having had reservations, we were given rather awful tables at first. Finally, were given a nice, quiet table in a little alcove. However, the food was really good (Thanksgiving menu), the service cheerful, competent, and responsive, and we were, overall, extremely happy with our choice for this special occasion. A bit better than casual atmosphere but not a “fine dining” room either. We will return, I think, often.

Phenomenal Thanksgiving diner! Catered beautifully for the family with one adult wanting traditional, one teen wanting a burger and one vegetarian! Food was quick and quality was excellent!

We went for thanksgiving. The food was horrible and warm at best. The waitress was clearly miserable. For the money we spent it was pretty bad. Oh well lessons learned. Never again. I'll just cook.

Grafton St. deepens our loyalty with each experience. We're always warmly greeted, promptly seated and served great meals.
The butttnut squash ravioli is phenomenal!
Steak frite also juicy and tender. We've become loyal fans.

Always a pleasure! We get the table we request and the service is always friendly without being intrusive. Food is fresh and modifications allowed with charge. Celebrated being with our sons and loved every minute! Been here four times and all were equally as enjoyable.

The regular waitstaff and barmen are very friendly and always welcome me warmly. The food has become a little too ... I don't know , fancy. Why so many ingredients?? But the staff and the closeness to work bring me back.

I went to Grafton for my birthday and it was a fantastic experience. It was nice to have a night out with my girls and to get all dressed up for the occasion. I've been giving the restaurant praise to everyone who has asked. 10/10 would go again.

Worst service I can recall. Just abysmal. Yet still got tagged for 18% service charge for party of six despite running out of water, no refills, unable to locate waitress to get more bar orders. Never came back after food was delivered. Menu was not very expansive. The one alcoholic beverage I managed to order was watery.

We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to the Oberon Theatre and its good reviews. We were seated immediately even though we were late for our reservation, which I appreciated, but the experience went down from there. The service was slow and our server inattentive, the food bland and unimaginative, and management unresponsive to our concerns. We knew we were in trouble when we asked how big the pizzas were and the waitress thought for a few seconds and then answered, "medium". We sat down at 8 pm, told our waitress we had a special birthday, and were going to a 10:30 pm show. We did not order appetizers or dessert (except for a crème brulee for the birthday girl) and had to hunt down the manager at 10:25 pm after asking the waitress twice for our bill. Even after having to go find the manager and seeing how annoyed we were, the manager didn't even ask any questions about what was wrong or why we were unhappy. There are so many choices in the Harvard Square area. We sadly made the wrong one for this very special birthday.

We used to come here all the time, but it has gone terribly down hill over the last couple of years. Bread used to be made in house, now frozen dinner rolls. Likewise, french fries used to be hand-cut, but are now prepackaged and frozen as well. (To be clear, this isn't just conjecture. The manager confirmed both points when asked.) The dessert was flavorless and had the distinctive, stale taste of a frozen supermarket dessert. To top it off, our food took nearly 45 minutes to arrive. On the positive side, our server was friendly and the clam chowder was delicious.

For $25+ an entree, I think it's reasonable to expect that our meal would be (1) mostly made from scratch and (2) served in a timely fashion. I would also expect the menu to show a modicum of ambition or creativity, rather than standard chicken/steak/fish/pasta dishes clumsily prepared.

We've given up hope that Grafton Street will return to the standard we enjoyed so much a few years ago. We will not be returning.

This is really only a place to drink. The food is not particularly good (though the veggie burger was decent). The Risotto is overly sticky and the creme brulee tastes like it was made from a Jello Foods package. Beware if you go here, the service is also terrible, super slow and weird, like removing clean plates from the table and leaving the dirty ones, waiting 15 minutes for the dessert menus after indicating we would like to see them, etc. (and it wasn't because the place was overly busy). One party, seated next to us, just left when no server ever came to their table.

I held two business lunches here yesterday. The outside seating area is very pleasant and not immediately on the street so buffered from pedestrians and traffic. Inside is also comfortable with tables not too close together. The service was attentative and helpful. Our meals were delicious. Noise level is low to moderate even though most of the tables were occupied. Fun spot right in the heart of Harvard Square.

The service was good. Attentive without being overbearing. Two of our three entries were quite good. Both nicely cooked and presented. The third was underseasoned, over cooked and was missing the vegetable that was to be part of the dish.

Had a relaxed dinner before a show nearby. Menu is diverse without being overwhelming. Nice selection of beers and other drinks. A little noisy, but it is a pub atmosphere so not unexpected. The high-top tables would be better if the high-top seating were seats with backs and not stools. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the experience.

We wanted to try a different restaurant in Cambridge and now know why we gravitate to the same places. Going out to eat is a luxury. For the price of the experience I expect attentive and prompt service, delicious food and a clean, fun/interesting environment. Grafton Steet Pub was nothing special. There are better options in Cambridge in my opinion!

Grafton Street in Harvard Square is always a good choice for brunch, lunch, dinner or happy hour. Dress is casual. The food is reliably good; well prepared with a variety of choices. Cocktails, beers and wine choices are also varied and well prepared. The Harvard Square location provides a good people watching venue. The clientele covers all ages, ethnicities and languages. While it can be crowded and noises, brunch and lunch are quieter.

My wife and I arrived exactly @ 6:15 for our reservation and although though the restaurant was bustling we were seated immediately. The place has a nice atmosphere, good vibe. The service was exactly how it should be, the waitress was attentive, but never bothersome, always available when we needed her and only cleared the plates when we'd both finished our dinners. (Bit of a pet peeve having plates removed as each person finishes, makes the last person to finish feel awkward and gives you a feeling of being rushed.)
I ordered the Grafton Burger, which was outstanding, my wife had the QUINOA & CHICKPEA BURGER, which was a disappointment it was so pasty, gooey, gummy...two bites we ended up splitting my Burger. The real deal was you have a choice of fries or salad...or half and half. The half and half is by far the way to go, the salad was huge and very fresh.
